Been in the neighborhood for 4 years now and I am constantly complaining about the lack of sports bars. Then came across the bar and it was a match made in heaven. It very inclusive, warm staff, feels elevated without being pretentious and tons of tvs/seating. I asked the bartender if she can put on the Knicks and she did with no issues. Chill vibes, excellent cocktails, superb service and space to enjoy the company of friends. This place is a bit new according to my friend but it's definitely gained a good reputation and fans in the neighborhood. Came for happy hour and got this spicy mango mule for $9, which was very good (also not watered down, which I appreciate). Staff are great and their food menu is pretty solid here. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich, which was seasoned well and the chicken was the perfect level of crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. I was less a fan of the fries (which I found overly salty; they were also thinner than I prefer). Mac and cheese was alright (they use shells instead), coming from someone who's not the biggest Mac and cheese fan. Hushpuppies were good-- thought the hushpuppies themselves could've used a bit more salt/seasoning but they were delicious with the sauce. read more

Absolutely delicious. Came for a quick dinner with family and we were pleasantly surprised. The interior here is absolutely gorgeous, from the gold ceiling to the amazing forest green wall color. The staff was fantastic and attentive. Food was amazing. I got their burger and fries. The fries were thin, crispy and tasty. The burger was really delicious and dressed well with a garlic aioli and lettuce and tomato. This spot is a great option for a quick drink or romantic dinner. read more

On May 16th I had a seizure crossing Rogers avenue in front of the restaurant. Thankfully, Kay the bartender helped me through the after fog this causes and helped me into an ambulance. I am grateful. However, any time I've gone there since when she is working she refuses to serve me. She says it really scared her. The Bobbed Bandit was a delightful surprise. The owner and host were friendly, attentive, informative, and gracious. We enjoyed our time with great food and drinks. The steak (have medium as our host suggested, you can't miss), fries (crispy), and the salad were excellent. Even the burger was savory, and it's a double patty (not necessarily needed, but definitely appreciated). Drinks were ever so delightful. Love this restaurant. Came for dinner on a Tuesday night and had a great time. Service is wonderful. Friendly, accommodating and down to earth. Drinks were delish. They have a lovely cocktail menu, with all my favorites: Mexcal, Bourbon, Tequila. Yes, yes and yes! Food was pleasantly satisfying and appropriately portioned. We split the kale salad, veggie seitan sandwich and the Mac and cheese. Was the perfect size for two people. So tasty, so savory. I also love how cozy and warm the restaurant is. I came here with my girlfriend to grab some food here after apartment hunting in the area for lunch.. Cute place but the food service was horrible and waited over 1.5 hr for food on a Saturday while one of the cooks was chatting at the bar and drinking with guests. Table next to us didn't get food as well and with one of them leaving. The place was not busy and got less busy as we waited. Not a great experience. read more

What can I say great vibe, great service, and good food make for a great Sunday night on a holiday weekend. Kay the bartender extraordinaire was phenomenal. Perfect personality for the job. We got the burger and chicken sandwich which where superb. FriedChicken sandwich was hot, spicy crispy and fresh. Burger on the pretzel dough was cooked as we asked and juicy. Beer selection was good, just needed a few more craft type beers. All in all a great spot with great music, good food and top notch service. We will be back ! read more

-Service was great -There wasn't really much of an ambiance when I went. -Now for the food the frites were ok would be way better without the steak on top of it because it was not edible I wanted medium well (which should still have a hint of pink). The steak was well done although it was chewable the flavor was where I had to tap out just bland on the inside-out . There wasn't any steak sauce so I opted to Salt & pepper (for the first time ever) which still wasn't satisfying due to the fact it's only on the outside. -I would try again but maybe For Brunch. read more

Corner oasis! The Bobbed Bandit is awesome. Our servers were very attentive, even moving us outside when a table opened up. Our toddler especially loved the fries with garlic and parsley. The brussel sprouts are divine made with a balsamic that was almost like a teriyaki. The arugula salad was delicious with pears, poppy seeds, and candied walnuts. The early summer weather meant all the doors and windows were open, making the dinner so relaxed and comfortable. Honestly, I'm so relieved to live nearby so I can come back soon. read more

A wonderful addition to the neighborhood, Bobbed Bandit has a laid-back vibe and friendly service. The food is extraordinary--the menu is limited but dishes are so well prepared that we go just to eat and enjoy the ambience rather than to drink. Comfortable, cool looking pub with WAY above average food and drinks. Burgers, fries, wings, onion soup, veggies all were uniformly excellent. Great place for a date or to watch a game. This place does not have a cook. It has a "chef". The dishes are all flavorful and complex when called for. Great place I've eaten here many times and even though the menu is not huge, I still want more. Brunch was also terrific. Recently had a party for 25 people here. Service was great and Nicole, the owner made sure all the details were taken care of. Everyone loved it! There is simply no better place in this neighborhood and I am a serious critic. This dude really seems to believe that he's some fictitious deity's gift to Brooklyn cocktails (with Bar Bayeux just down the street, yo?), yet he relies on plum bitters and way too much sugar and is hilarously penurious with the booze. Your pal Johnny doesn't know how long this place will last, but he's guessing not very long if this is the risible baseline. Look, don't blame courteous customers on your big dreams not panning out. You think you're special in that department? At one point, the bartender literally talked through me as if I was a ghost. When he wasn't doing that, he treated every customer with contempt. I'll give this pompous asshat points for possessing such a hilariously pointless ego, but ultimately, there is no reason for anyone with even slightly discerning taste to frequent this puffed up dive. read more
