How have I never reviews one of my fave local bars!?? This is my go to spot for drinks or brunch. I love that the menu changes seasonally and there's always a new special throughout the week. The nachos are the best thing to get with chicken and the drinks are always well made. Leo is the best bartender and he learns your name quickly. A real good neighborhood bar for drinks, eats, good sports on the tv etc.

Great neighbourhood bar with a solid menu full of delicious dishes, a happy hour menu from Mondays through Fridays from opening until 7pm. The atmosphere is quite chill and the place was packed on a Saturday night. We got the crispy cauliflower to share, which comes as a generous serving with both buffalo and blue cheese sauces for dipping. The crispy cauliflower is heavily battered and a bit on the unhealthy side, but can be a filling snack if you are looking for something to soak up your beer. We tried both the grilled skirt steak and the pan seared salmon and both were quite delicious and reasonably priced. The salmon in particular was the winner for me after tasting that lemon garlic herb sauce, which also went perfectly with mashed potatoes. The skirt steak comes with chimichurri sauce and you can opt for potato fries or sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were perfectly crispy and thick-cut, complementing the juicy and tender steak. They have several tap, bottle, and can beer options, a handful of wines to drink by the glass (or the bottle) and lots of specialty cocktails, making this bar perfect for your after work drinks and dinner spot. Service is quick and friendly. Can't wait to come back to try the rest of the menu.

Good happy hour. Simple but inviting decor. Intimate but comfortable. Lots of interesting menu items and great specials. Tonight I just got the guac and chips and a margarita, but would definitely come back to try more. Couldn't stop eyeing the plates around me because they looked so good. Friendly service all around

Great ambiance, excellent service, delicious food. This place is a solid 4.5 stars! The price felt a bit high for the area but otherwise really lovely spot. My two items also were sweeter than I anticipated but commendable how flexible the kitchen was to adjust the special and make it vegetarian. Beautifully relaxing Sunday brunch dripping with sunshine, a nice balance of energy and music but not too much (for example, most tvs were turned off but the inside bar was lively with chatter.)

Fries and calamari. Calamari is seasoned and cooked well.

Nice neighborhood spot with good happy hour options. Appetizers are great, waitress was super attentive, and I had a good time. They should work on their yucca fries; they can be a bit tough. But all in all, a nice place.

Came here for the first time for Happy Hour drinks and eats after work this past Friday. This place is such a gem. It was so good that we spent 4 hours here just relaxing, talking, drinking and munching. Westwood is in a great location. A very happening and diverse neighborhood. Just a few blocks away from the Newkirk Plaza station where you can catch the B and the Q. The B 8 also stops right in front of the place. We had 3 in our party and they usually only seat you if everyone was present. We begged and said our other friend was just a few minutes away and our lovely host Chris sat us at the booth of our choosing. It was actually half booth/half table that was partially outside. It was a beautiful night so it was perfect! They have multiple tvs with sports playing. Happy Hour on Friday is until 7 so we got half of our drinks for only $8. I had the Bees Knees which is gin, lemon and honey. I usually like to mix up my drinks and get different ones throughout the night but this cocktail was so good that it was the only one I had for 4 hours. Service was so friendly and attentive. Although our first round of drinks took way too long to come out. We had the Westwood Nachos and Fried Calamari for snacks. Both were delicious. The calamari must have been from a giant squid because the rings were HUGE!! For dessert we had the Tiramisu which was yummy as well and a huge piece. I witnessed several people dining with their pets so it's dog friendly. Only one bathroom , but it was clean and tidy. Got such a good vibe from this place. Definitely very chill atmosphere. Great place to unwind. I'll be back!

I was pleasantly surprised to see a retro style, cocktail bar open on the border of South Midwood & Flatbush, an area with plenty of residents who love a good drink but also an area lacking a robust, modern drinking scene. Westwood's answer to our prayers comes in the form of $8 classic cocktails, $10 beer + shot combos, and a short menu of classic bar food like wings and wedge salad. I'm not one for bar food so perhaps I'm not the target demo here, but I was feeling peckish and got an order of Westwood nachos and Baja shrimp quesadilla to go with their "Night & Day" mezcal cocktail. While the neighborhood isn't exactly known for its destination eats, the intentional and modern feel of Westwood gave me high hopes. The nachos were piled high with lots of toppings which I appreciated, and the baja shrimp quesadilla was sizeable and fresh. Overall the food and drinks weren't super impressive or memorable, but definitely more than serviceable if you're looking for some grub to go with your cocktails. The inside has a nice ambience but I opted to sit in their outdoor shed. We were the only ones sitting out there so it made us feel like it was our own private bar. I think they were a bit short staffed because we weren't served out there, but it wasn't a big issue to just walk into the bar to order and to ask for our check.

I love this place, being from the neighborhood we always needed a new restaurant and bar added. This place has become a go to spot for weeknight drinks and small bites. The wait staff is great and service is always A1. We love it here!

Great local bar in the neighborhood. The decor is very cute and the servers are attentive. We came for happy hour and ordered some appetizers to share including the fried pickles, calamari, fries, and cauliflower. The cocktails were very strong and the ambiance was perfect for catching up!

Loved this place , went here for a date I got the pan seared salmon with a nice glass of Sauvignon Blanc , and my date Had chicken tinga tacos with a glass of freshed press orange juice . The ambience was delightful and my waiter was super friendly on the table next to us there was a mom and her baby and even the baby was having a great time so it's definitely family friendly and date friendly. My only gripe is the place is a bit small , not many tables but if you head over to the bar you won't have that issue it's pretty spacious there.

My friend ordered the butterfly field mocktail, which I highly recommend if you're not in the mood for alcohol, it was absolutely delicious. I ordered two of their signature cocktails: Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea (best way I can describe it is it's like a high end cologne in cocktail form, but in the best way possible? Very complex flavors) and the Queen of the Desert (cool refreshing cucumber followed by a spicy heat in the back of your throat, grew on me over time). Food was also quite good. I enjoyed the truffle popcorn and I still have no idea how they made those lemongrass chicken ginger dumplings so yummy (I normally don't even like chicken dumplings bc they're usually not as juicy as pork, but these didn't have that problem). They gave us a tiny sample of one of their house-made liquors at the end-- let me tell you, I'm not the biggest fan of just having liquor on its own but dang, that went down sooooo smoothly.

I put it in my back pocket as a place I might go in the future. I was recently walking in the area when I noticed a sign saying it was open for coffee. Of course I went to check it out. At the main counter, they serve the classics (mocha, latte, chai, matcha) plus a few specials. My cookie butter matcha (with oat and flavored syrup) was less than 6 dollars. It wasn't my favorite matcha, it was a pretty good deal in comparison to other cafes in the area. They have a coffee club where you pay $40 a month for free drinks (coffee or tea based), 10% of items like cocktails, food and wine. Plus you are able to use their wifi in their space which has a funky plush aesthetic. Definitely good for people who need a place to work. It is an interesting way of using this space in the morning. Of course I was told about their happy hour and the jazz Mondays. I would come back to attend that.
