Came here after taking my son to Hapik. Place looked cute so we stopped by. My son had the chicken tenders and French fries from the kids menu, I had a French onion soup, coconut shrimp and a sangria with white wine. The chicken tenders and fries were absolutely delicious and my 5 year old ate all the tenders and most of the fries which for him was incredible! The French onion soup was very good, one of the best I've had. Unfortunately one star off for the coconut shrimp which just tasted like fried shrimp, they weren't great, and one star off for the sangria which just had some blueberries in it and an orange slice on top on a toothpick-tasted like regular white wine, no sangria taste in sight. Every time I hit Industry City, Frying Pan is on the list. Always really good, fresh and the team is so nice. Got the veggie burger, which was fresh. My aunt switched up her meal and got the salmon (usually gets the Caesar salad with lobster, which she raves about), and she was happy about the switch. The loaded tots are my favorite. Such a great experience! Yesterday, we had a "staff meeting" at the Frying Pan Brooklyn. The organization I work for is new to me, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The staff meeting was absolutely fun and it allowed for all of the staff (some work on-site and others like myself WFH) present to get to know one another, eat, drink and have fun. Amanda was an AMAZING AND AWESOME host! All of the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. We were led to a game room, complete with some old school games, reverting myself and the professionals I work with back our childhood. We had so many drink options and a spread of food that was beyond delicious. We spent several hours eating, drinking, playing games and getting to know each other. No one knew what to expect, but the venue was definitely fabulous for whatever reason we were there lol. I suggested to the CEO that we do this every Friday for the summer. We had an extremely disappointing experience due to the behavior of a very rude bartender. I visited with my daughter and aunt for a meal, and we happened to have outside drinks with us. When the server noticed our drinks, they kindly offered to check with the manager to see if it was okay--something we appreciated and were happy to abide by. If they would've said no right off the bat, we would've come back after we finished the drinks. However, before the server could return, a bartender approached our table in an aggressive and confrontational manner, loudly telling us that we had to leave. The folks behind the counter were super friendly and got my group in and out of there with boozy hot chocolates in hand very quickly. The drink itself was topped with a generous dollop of whipped cream, m&m's, sprinkles, a marshmallow and candy cane. The drink wasn't very strong and had I had access to some nips I would've dumped a bottle or two into my drink. This outpost is actually everything the Manhattan location isn't. It's low key, it's chill, and the prices are incredibly reasonable! $12 cocktails made with high quality ingredients, and with some thought put into the recipes! Not to mention strong, and served in 12 oz to-go cups! I got the Jersey Painkiller, which was bourbon, orange, pineapple, and nutmeg. Definitely hit the spot on a summer night.
