Randazzo's Clam Bar - STACKED Lobster Roll. W/ butta on the side! - Seafood Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

The good- the place is clean- the prices are fair - the seafood is fresh- the staff is great - the service is great. Portion size is good. The food is not good- plain and simple- it's bland and overcooked- rubbery bland seafood. Their red sauces are phenomenal. Anything else is poor especially the plates, the lobster ect. Stick to Red sauce- fried calamari baked clams stuff like that. The soups are garbage and expensive. read more

It's basic restaurant that has some decent, red sauce Italian food. Ate the shrimp parmigiana with spaghetti. Lots of large shrimp and al dente spaghetti. Good service too. Lots of seafood on the menu too. A bit pricey but it's in a convenient location for Sheepshead Bay boat trips. A bit pricey read more

The restaurant is very casual, clean, and looks old. Our server was friendly. Come for the steamers, but be sure to call ahead. We were told they don't always have them. The fried calamari and spaghetti with seafood were okay, but nothing special. The baked clams were nice, but the breadcrumb seasoning had too much oregano. Drinks are served in small plastic cups. read more

09/21/26 Purposely came because my daughter was craving for raw oysters and clams. Always felt here have the freshest raw bar so it was worth the travel but it has been a disappointment as each time I came back with the freshness of raw bar. Further more the Shrimp Randazzo Linguine was tasteless. The dozen Oysters were also bland, shriveled, and completely washed out. The half dozen Cherry Stone not as fresh and the only no complaints was the half dozen little neck which we order another 1 dozen. read more

Their New England Clam Chowder is very good and I would pick that over the Lobster Bisque. The baked clams were also very flavorful but slightly fishy. I enjoyed all the pasta dishes as it was cooked al dente but I found the Pasta Marechiara very saucy. They ended up bringing out bread so it was helpful with soaking up the sauce. The meatballs were super meaty and the sauce and cheese on top added a nice touch. The stuffed fish was alright. The fish was cooked well but it was stuffed with a lot of breadcrumbs and other seafood pieces. It was quite buttery, but had good seasoning. It gets packed here very quickly so you may have to wait for a table! I thought the bathroom was really gross sadly. read more

I'm not a freshman here, having come my whole life so trust me I know what's worth it. St down with a pitcher of water which feels so homey. To start the meal you can skip the soups and go straight to the clams. It's been a long year and six little necks sounded right. $12.50 Served with horseradish and cocktail sauce they are perfection!!! For the main I've been waiting to try the marinated burned chicken and at $20 it was a deal! Marinated in Italian season with tons of garlic this is a unique and formidable bird and I went full on primeval on that bird. Of course I got a side of medium with it because it's the best. I got a salad instead of fries and they updated the lettuce. The standouts are fried calamari, zuppe di mussels, baked clams all the raw seafood and that chicken is a new standout. read more

Did walk-in on Father's Day, since they don't do reservations. We came as a party of 6 around 2pm and luckily took the last larger table. What we got: - Calamari: Had to order, since it's one of their staples. It was fine, but tbh I've had better. They're known for their sauce, but I didn't care much for it. The bread it came with was super stale and inedible. - New England Clam Chowder (bowl): This was pretty good! Would order again. - Lobster Bisque (bowl): Not as great as the clam chowder, but still good. - Baked Clams (Cherry Stones): It was alright for what it was. Fishy, but in a clam/sea way. I wouldn't care to order again. - Pasta Marechiara: Really good pasta dish!! The sauce was lovely and I enjoyed dipping bread in it. The pasta was also perfectly cooked. Would order this again! - Chicken Parm with Pasta: Just ok, the chicken was a bit overcooked imo. - Stuffed Filet w/ Zucchini Fries: Also just fine; a bit dry + not enough sauce. Zucchini Fries were delish tho!! - Meatball Parm (3): Decent size meatballs! Could've used a bit more sauce. Taste was ok, I've had better. Service was pretty slow, although they were packed. Overall, I've had better Italian food. It's just nice that this spot is a neighborhood staple. Surprised that it made the NYT 2026 Top 100 Restaurants list (#98)! read more

The clam pasta with the white sauce was the star of our lunch. Tender, juicy pieces of clam (and you must get it with the linguini). Generous portion size too. Pro tip: When you get the galama, do yourself a favor and get it with the mild and the hot sauce. Quick service and an unbeatable view for your after meal walk. Will return! read more

If you're looking for quiet and fancy, this is not your place. If you're okay with loud, packed, old-school Brooklyn seafood and no frills, then you'll love Randazzo's Clam Bar. We went on a Saturday in February around 7pm and it was crowded. Like yelling-across-the-table crowded. Plastic disposable cups, paper napkins, a big water pitcher just sitting on the table. Very casual. Very no nonsense. Honestly, you just lean into it. We started with the fried calamari and got both the medium and hot marinara sauces. The sauce is really the star. Spicy, garlicky, so good in the best way. We also ordered baked clams, which were delicious and somehow the only thing I managed to take a picture of before digging in. That never happens. My father-in-law had the scungilli over linguini and said it was great. I had linguini with clam sauce and it was exactly what I wanted. It was not "too soupy" if that makes sense lol. Simple, briny, comforting. My husband got chicken parm with linguini and completely cleaned his plate. Our waitress was friendly, just very busy because the place was packed. You can tell they're used to the chaos. There's a parking garage right across the street which makes life easier. And it's right by the water, which makes me want to go back in the summer and walk around and really enjoy the area. If you're okay with loud and very casual, this is your spot. Good food, big portions, no fuss. I'd definitely go back! read more

This place is a true staple in Brooklyn. My plus one raved about them having the best calamaris in NYC they were good but I have to come back to get a second tasting. It's really overpriced for OK food. Seriously. There's no reason spaghetti and meatballs should be $20 but here we are. Service is good. Ambiance is that old school basic chair vibe. Old school Italian sea food place near harbor. Definitely has character. Wait staff spirited and efficient. Great fried clams. Halibut was fresh fish of day- very fresh and tasty. Part 2 This is the second part to my review from eating at Randazzo's on Friday, under a week ago. While at Randazzo's, I ordered the Shrimp Fra Diavolo, the large Lobster Bisque, and the large New England Clam Chowder to go and this second review covers these three items. Previously, I had the large Spicy Crab Soup, the Combo with medium and hot sauce, and the gloriously rich Lobster and Shrimp with Vodka Sauce over linguine. The Lobster Bisque reminded me of the Spicy Crab Soup, both including lots of corn in the soup, with the lobster shredded into the bisque as was the crab. The Lobster Bisque was shorter on flavor than the Spicy Crab Soup. Though the corn adds texture and some satisfaction for the palate, this is no substitute for the actual lobster or crab meat for these two soups. The shredded lobster lent flavor to the bisque, but the Lobster Bisque is definitely the least appealing of the three soups offered at Randazzo's. Some lump crabmeat and lobster chunks are sorely wanting, but fortunately there are other dishes that make up for what these lack. Oyster crackers did not amp up the satisfaction for the lobster bisque in particular. The New England Clam Chowder was an improvement over the lobster bisque. It has the creamy milky broth desired, along with the potatoes and clam chunks and slices. No need to substitute corn here. I have had better NE Clam Chowder, but this is still good and the best of the three soup offerings. Parallel to my dine in experience, the pasta dish came to the rescue; though, that may be a little strong. The Shrimp Fra Diavolo over linguine again featured perfectly al dente pasta over which their red sauce is just as delicious as their red sauce over the calamari, mussels and scungilli. It's thick and coats all that linguine, with clams, shrimp, mussels, and slivers of garlic pushing the flavor factor up there. This is not as loaded with seafood and not as rich as the Lobster and Shrimp with Vodka Sauce, but it is plentiful and the bread cleans the plate nicely. The Shrimp Fra Diavolo gets a high rec from me. I would like to try their lobster roll and their scallops in garlic wine and butter. Randazzo's could amp up their soup offerings with more seafood meat chunks, but the calamari and pasta dishes are the sweet spot for Randazzo's. I'll be back as countless loyal patrons have returned before me. Four stars! read more

It was like stepping into a time warp. To me, the place looked exactly like it did in the 80s which was probably the last time I was there. Our server was so typically Brooklyn which to me is a super-positive thing. Didn't get her name but pretty sure she said she was related to the owner. My friend had a plate of the cherry stones and I had the white mussels in the white sauce. We both agreed our dishes were wonderful. If decor is not important then this place is great! My parents rave about Randazzo's, and for only good reason- they have been coming here for over 50 years. This is the food my mom craved while pregnant with me. I have to hear that this restaurant is the reason I love seafood so much. We walked in and we were seated right away. This place is on go mode as it gets extremely busy. Our server who was basically running laps to each table, came over to take our order. We had fried zucchini and calamari for the table. Fried, crispy and delicious. My father and I ordered the Pasta Marchiara. My husband ordered the Shrimp Fra Diavolo. My mother ordered the combo appetizer. Every dish was fresh and amazingly good, just like your expect from a restaurant with this type of legacy. My husband cannot wait to go back. read more

Some spots just get it right -- Randazzo's Clam Bar in Sheepshead Bay has been serving up seafood glory since 1963, and honestly, I think the sauce has more wisdom than half the guys I know. I grew up coming here as a kid, back when I thought "half and half" meant sharing fries with my brother. Now I know it means fried calamari and shrimp swimming in that legendary hot Randazzo sauce -- with a biscuit that's basically a trophy for finishing the plate. Topped it off with a bowl of lobster bisque so creamy it could've paid rent in Brooklyn and still had change left over. Some things shouldn't change -- like this place. Fresh, spotless, proud, and serving flavor since before most of us were even a thought. Balancing food, service, and ambiance - this spot is a 3.8. We got the fried calamari, clam chowder & shrimp fra diavolo. Calamari - fresh, bouncy, and crisp, pairing well with the spicy marinara Chowder - it was good & generous in clams! Pasta - seafood & sauce were delicious & I wish the pasta never ended, cooked to perfect al dente The service really threw me off though, waited probably 20 minutes to get our order taken, was told there were no more pitchers for water so we had to pay for bottles (while tables coming in after we're getting pitchers), order was brought out incorrectly & it took another 10 minutes to get the server back to our table, and overall super inattentive. Getting the check & some to-go containers was also a crazy waiting game. This really soiled the experience from the otherwise tasty food. read more

Finally got around to visiting Randazzo's Clam Bar and was really excited, especially after seeing it featured on an episode of Fck, That's Delicious* with Action Bronson. This place is definitely old school, so don't expect anything flashy. That said, the space is pretty roomy and has a retro diner feel to it. It did get a little crowded, while we were dining, so it definitely draws a crowd. We ordered a lot since it was our first time, but honestly, the food was just okay. The portions didn't really match the price, and overall, the dishes felt like they were missing something in the flavor department. Maybe we didn't order correctly...Nothing was terrible, just a little underwhelming. On the upside, the service was great. The staff checked in often and cleared plates quickly. Overall, I'm glad we got to check it off our list, but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to come back. read more

what can I say about Randazzo's that hasn't already been said? This spot is legit one of the absolute best seafood restaurants I've ever been to. I'm extremely particular about pasta and sauce and they never disappoint. They're famous hot marinara sauce is to die for, and cannot be duplicated. The softshell crab and zucchini fries were amazing, the zucchini fries were over the top, best ever! Does scungilli with hot sauce, wow pretty damn amazing. And of course, the famous calamari, really really good. I ordered a side of pasta with hot sauce on top and threw sime scungilli on top, I wish this was a dish on their menu. Came late on a Friday night, and they seated us right away. Coming to a clam bar, I knew we had to try raw clams. These were the best things we had at the restaurant and recommend them. The clams are the star of the show, with the little necks being thick and meaty. I was told these are smaller than the cherry stone clams, so I can't imagine the size of those! Next time we'll try. There's a lot of be missed with baked clams, it's mostly bready and I recommend sticking to steamed or raw. The clam chowder was standard, the shrimp diavolo was a huge portion with a good amount of seafood, but the pasta is overdone and there's nothing too special about the sauce. Stick to the clams! read more

Took my 83 year old mom for lunch today. it's been years since she's been here. she got a lobster roll with fries. She loved it. I was really in the mood for Alaskan King crab legs, and I splurged and went for it. It was really good. I was not able to get a side of pasta with it, which I find silly. I got the zucchini fries and ordered a side order of spaghetti with marinara sauce. I think when you're spending over $100 for an order of Alaskan king crab they should be able to give you a little spaghetti on the side instead of zucchini fries, but that's only my opinion. The waitress was awesome. The space is large and friendly. It's a solid place to go for seafood. read more

Randazzo's Clam Bar - lobster roll with fries - Seafood Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I found myself in Coney Island today, so took a quick trip to try Randazzo's Clam Bar. The restaurant is pretty large, casual, with table service. The service was good. I tried the following dishes: Baked Cherry Point Clams (3/5): These were fine. They came 10 to an order. They were (a little over)loaded with breadcrumbs and came with lemon on the side. The clams themselves were generally good. Shrimp Parmigiana with Vodka Sauce (3.5/5): I got this with spaghetti. The serving was very large, and I took at least half home. The shrimp was breaded nicely and was good. The pasta was all right -- the sauce was incredibly thick and heavy. I overall had an okay experience at Randazzo's Clam Bar. If in the area, I would go again and try some other dishes. read more

The Blond Waitress was kurt, and had an unprofessional appearance because her sweatshirt sleeves extended past her wrists when serving food. Her long blond Hair was unkept and hanging loose over her face. Quality of food was below standard for the price we paid. The baked clams were overcooked , bland and chewy .. The breaded jumbo shrimp, lacked freshness, were also overcooked, bland and tasteless. On a scale of of 1 to 10, I rate Randazzo's a 3. The Dinning experience was a disappointment. In the end i did not eat the food that i paid for because i did not enjoy it. I would have gotten a better exprience at Nathans in Coney Island. read more

Can't mess with the old school. Always love the calamari and the stuffed filet. If you are craving seafood this is definitely a go to spot.

I grew up just a couple of zipcodes away from here but did not have the Randazzo's experience until I went to their location on Arthur Avenue, near where I attended college in the Bronx. Just as I felt about my last experience, my more recent visit was wholly unmemorable. The fact that it doesn't seem like they've updated the space since they opened is likely part of what draws their customers to dine here. You know exactly what to expect, and the dining experience does not change. They even don't accept credit card payments, which is emblematic of how frozen in time this entire neighborhood feels. I thought the clams, both raw and fried were serviceable. My friend and I were the only diners there on a Wednesday afternoon and our server could not be bothered with us. I don't blame her at all. Still, unless you live in the area or you're drawn to the nostalgia of Brooklyn in the 20th century, I don't see why you'd choose this place over any other seafood spot in ny. read more

Went here for lunch today. The inside is reminiscent of a cafeteria setting without the buffet line. The food was just okay. Had the spicy crab and corn chowder which was decent; a little thick but okay. The fried mixed okay. The scallops were very small, the shrimp was midsize and the flounder tasted like it was pre frozen then fried. For $87 I don't think I will be coming back anytime soon. Randazzo's has been a beloved staple in my family for generations -- we've been feasting here since before I was even born. And when I say "feasting," I mean it. This isn't just a meal, it's a full-on seafood celebration. For my brother's birthday, we came ready to indulge, and as always, Randazzo's delivered. Fresh-as-ever raw clams and oysters set the tone, followed by classics like baked clams, fried calamari (galamah), clams in white sauce and buttery shrimp scampi -- each bite reminding us why this place is an icon. The atmosphere? A perfectly tamed chaos. The moment one table clears, two more fill. The staff? Warm, welcoming, and on top of everything. And the cherry on top -- after your meal, you can stroll right over to the pier across the street to soak in the salty breeze. This Brooklyn gem hasn't lost an ounce of its charm. Run, don't walk, to Randazzo's. For more foodie gems like this, follow @blaze_eatsnyc! read more

Cuisine: 6 Service: 7 Decor: 5 Value: 6 Overall: 6 Been here a few times and really wanted to like the place due to its history. unfortunately, it does not live up to the hype and felt like a run of the mill seafood joint. For this review, I will simply focus on the meal I had this past weekend, which was a similar feeling I had experienced in previous visits. First of all, we walked in hoping to get some fried soft shell crabs while they are in season, which were prominently displayed on their specials menu. Sadly they sold out of them the day prior. Then we asked for steamers, but they didn't have that either. We were quite disappointed. Regardless, we march on since there is a bevy of seafood to choose from. Here is a list of what we had. Top Neck Clams (9/10) - Maybe some of the best clams I have ever had. Fresh, plump, clean, sweet, and utterly delicious. So good in fact, we got a second order. Little Neck Clams (6/10) - These weren't bad, but definitely not as plump or sweet as the Top Neck Clams. Clearly a briny taste, and had sand in few of them. Blue Point Oysters (6/10) - Never been a fan of Blue Point Oysters, probably because they are so bland. Honestly, these were well shucked and extremely clean, good meaty size and fresh for sure, but flavorless as expected. Spicy Crab Corn Chowder (3/10) - Literally no crab flavor at all, just a thick, creamy, and spicy corn chowder that I can easily make better at home. One of the saddest dishes. Fried Scallop Sandwich (6/10) - The scallops were over-fried a bit and not as juicy or tender as they should be. The batter was also a tad thick. With that said, it was decent without the bread, which was just a toasted hamburger bun. Shrimp Randazzo (4/10) - Looks can be deceiving. Everyone else was ordering it, so we did too. Unfortunately, the watery sauce had barely any flavor. Pasta is simply from a box. The shrimps were fine, mussels were okay, but the clams were grossly overcooked. Our server was very sweet and friendly, though sometimes it was hard to get her attention when she was on her phone. The space is old school clam bar, but prices were not cheap. I would absolutely swing back for some of those unbelievably great Top Neck Clams, but unlikely to stay for a full meal in the future. read more

As soon as I walked in, I knew something was completely different. We ordered the bake clams, and they were missing the garlic. The calamari wasn't as good as it always was. I ordered the crab cakes to take home with me as I always do for the past couple of years, but this time I was in for a big shock, it was so very very spicy I had to throw them in the garbage. There is definitely a new cook there. I always traveled there for their food. But after this experience , I won't be visiting them anymore. read more

Delicious food and super fresh fish. Really simple ingredients done well. I'd heard about and seen Randazzo's for years and finally took the trip down to Sheepshead Bay today to try it out. Heard so many good things about this old school seafood place and finally went on a day when we visited the aquarium. Should have come to yelp to read the reviews before going, because... ... Bad decision. Everything was mediocre at best. We got the fried and steamed combo with scungilli, mussels, shrimp and calamari. When the dish arrived, our jaws dropped. The plate was so tiny for $31, and the steamed seafood was totally tasteless. To add insult to injury, they put bread under the calamari to make the already tiny dish look bigger. Who does that? The portion of the pasta marechiara was big, but that's about it. The "sauce" was not what I call a sauce, it's super watery and didn't taste of anything much despite the amount of garlic they put in it. The chopped seafood was the same - tasteless. Zucchini fries were probably the best of the whole meal. Sad. read more
