Oh Pat, sweet Pat, behind the bar, A culinary, shining star. Into the toaster oven, tight, You shoved the pie and lost your sight. You poured a drink, you shot the breeze, While fire licked the dollar cheese. The timer dinged, but you stayed blind, Until it looked like black quartz ice. A lesser man would weep and cry, To look upon this burnt-up pie. But not this man, oh no, siree, Because you handed it to me-FOR FREE! If it's free, it's for me, my friend, A perfect bargain at the end. Not one doll hair did leave my hand, For the finest crunch in all the land. So here's to Pat, the toaster king, Who makes the frozen pizzas sing. Next time I'm parched and want a bite, Please burn my dinner black as night. read more

Very Nasty however if was to be honest they do not respect jukebox songs, apparently we don't like when a customer comes in trying to listen to his favourite artist only play Irish Jigs read more

The restaurant shows that consistency is the true measure of quality. The personnel showed remarkably good service. The dishes please even picky eaters. This spot has earned its place locally. My new home is fortunately close to this great restaurant. read more

Was invited by a group of friends. We made the ambiance. The bar is spacious no special decor. Could also use music. This bar also does not offer food. May not visit again read more

Long standing local pub in the heart of bayridge! its got the tin ceiling still! it's one of those locals hang out pub, there's back room accomondates larger party, they also have a dart board, juke box! I usually go there for beer, it can get crowded depending on the night. they have few drafts and a cider. Bartenders are friendly and quick to serve! read more

This place is the epitome of being the neighborhood bar! Everyone comes by for a drink or two during the weekends! Live music occasionally and def a good bunch behind the bar! read more

I feel guilty doing some "day drinking" while everyone else is walking around in their yoga pants and coming to the gym, but on this sweltering day I needed a "break" on my way to lunch. I found a nice cold bottle of bud light for $3.50 the way it was meant to be served....waiting for me, packed in ice. These are locals in here for the most part and very nice. Classic and original old time architecture, from the ceiling to the clock to the stain glass dormer on the men's room. It's like going back in time. Will need to stop in here on a more lively evening. I've heard great things. Plus, I crush it at Karaoke! Another day. read more

This bar is simply awesome! I came here with the intentions of being poured a cold Guinness on tap, but the Three Jolly Pigeons gave me so much more than I anticipated. Not only is the Guinness amazing and cold, but the bartender is just awesome. Oh and its a pokestop! The crowd that hangs there ranges in age. You can converse with the late twenty early thirty year old's or the group of 40-60 year old's, simply awesome. I came here on a Friday night and there was karaoke. If you are a singer this is you're spot. Personally I never thought I could sing in front of one person let alone 20+ but I did. I loved every minute! There isn't any judgements and everyone claps for everyone. People are very friendly and service is quick and efficient. The staff is very sweet. The bar is fully equipped, the space is big and its not packed with teenagers who want to get wasted which is nice. I had an amazing time and I will definitely be going back to have a nice cold beer on tap! Cheap Drinks, Great Staff and Karaoke how can you go wrong. Did I mention $5 Guinness. read more

Three Jolly Pigeons - Guinness.. Cold Guinness.... Great Guinness. - Pubs Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I love 3JP. Being an adult nerd, I run a dungeons and dragons game out of here. The staff is always super friendly and warm, the drinks are cheap, and the atmosphere is perfect for fighting supernatural creatures. I will say, be prepared for some very racist/homophobic/overall deplorable things being shouted out by the regulars (not at us, just in general)...If you can, try to ignore them, and you will have a lovely evening. read more

Didn't have a chance, sevice was excellent and the ambiance was excellent. Real old time Salon.

I came here on New Year's Day with a group of friends to grab some drinks after dinner. I love this place! Drinks are cheap, comfortable setting, and nice decor (during Christmas season). Definitely stop here if you're nearby or looking for a place to go with group of people. The music is low so great place to hold a conversation and have fun. An ideal date spot if you're looking to grab drinks after dinner. read more

I'm really grateful to have a bar in Bay Ridge with a little class. It's not a fancy place or anything like that, but people speak respectfully and don't get too crazy. $6 standard beers and is usually quiet. Plus, they are enforcing the vaccine mandate. read more

The bartenders are great- they always get you back on a round when you buy a few. Great cheap friendly dive bar. The jukebox is fun too (but you have to ask them to turn off the radio) read more

This place earns an automatic 5 stars for being awesome, having good beers on tap, inexpensive beers and the open door policy of byof. Hands down a great neighborhood spot for locals. I'm told they have karaoke on certain nights. Come have a pint. It'll cost you around $5.00 read more

My gf and I have loved this bar since the first moment we walked in. Very quaint and personable service. I really hope they survive during covid as this is my fav bar. read more

Very unprofessional and rude staff. I personally witnessed how they grab and kick out clients they don't just like. No wonder they have few people. I pass this place every evening and it barely has any people in there. In my opinion, they should've been doing quite the opposite of playing tough guys open only for certain number of clients. That actually explains why people don't rate this place so much. Those people who write review here are probably their regular customers (that 48 people). But who am I to judge their way of doing business, right? I'm just a customer who will never go back to such a place again ;) read more

Dart board, jukebox, beers, cocktails and ppl. What more does one need. Inexpensive beers and cocktails. Close to R subway station. Lots of space to move around. A nice entrance located at the corner. On some nights, there's live music. read more

Been coming here for like 5 years and always had a good time. However, recently came to watch a hockey game and another person at the bar was pretty drunk and extremely hostile, getting into an unprovoked fight with another person I was with and spitting all over me while talking (not cool in COVID times). Later found out he's apparently one of the owners of the bar. Don't think that kind of behavior is appropriate towards one's patrons and it really soured my overall perception of the establishment. Based on other reviews though it seems we aren't alone in this experience, which is extremely disappointing. Know what kind of behavior your money is supporting before coming here. Very unprofessional. Don't antagonize your customers. read more

Best neighborhood (and not-from-the-neighborhood) bar in the area. The interior has an iconic feel of old New York. Lots of oak and stained glass. The staff is wonderful, warm and welcoming and the drinks are not overpriced. If you enjoy sports, there are ample screens and the bartenders will change to your preference if you have one. Watch for special events and celebrations (speaking of which, the holiday decorations are very well done and festive). The crowd ranges from 21 to 71; all friendly and ready for a laugh or friendly conversation. You won't find many places like it. read more

Beautiful old classic bar, they film a lot here. I got to meet liam. Clean nice servers a deff must go to

I often dub Three Jolly Pigeons as the best bar in Bay Ridge. Why? There is just no place like it. Its relatively big, it doesn't get that crowded, there's a pool table room in the back for $1 games, karaoke certain nights, and DIRT CHEAP drinks. Whats not to love? Sure, the clientele can sometimes be...questionable. You get your usual groups of Bay Ridge youngins, but thrown in the mix are some older 'regulars' that oftentimes sit grumpily at the bar. Its all about what you make of this place. If you come with a group and don't care about mingling, this will be like your entertainment basement with affordable never-ending drinks. There are plenty of tables, a section for darts, a back room for pool, and a large bar with TVs overhead. The bartenders are super down to earth. Talk to the Australian, he has some awesome stories. Prices are just ridiculous. Some of the tap pints go for around $2. Jameson is $5, house whiskey only $4. You get the picture. Be prepared to pay almost nothing, we aren't in Manhattan anymore. On top of those ridiculous prices, every 4th or 5th beer or drink is on the house. Ask about the specials, your mind will be blown. read more

I may be biased because my friend works on the bat here, but this place is great! Dive bar with lock karaoke talent. Could you ask for more? No food but the drinks are good. People are friendly and Fridays nights hosts a pretty fun karaoke night. Check it out. read more

There is Karaoke on Friday nights. The one time I went, there was a group, (or was it a troupe?) of people who must be Karaoke Superstars in the 'ridge. These 5 people blasted out the hits as if it was American Idol audition night. Simon: The atmosphere was atrocious. Paula: They gave it a lot of spirit, honey. Randy: Naw Dawg, I'd spend my drink money some place else. "From Bay Ridge, Seacrest Out." read more

This place is one of the oldest bars in Brooklyn (if not the oldest). It really has that old new york look to it inside, simple but with character. This place would get 5 stars if they started selling wings. But other than that, you can't beat the prices here. Bartenders are really friendly and the places is a must go for Karaoke. Here you can drink, sing, watch sports...or stare at the Australian bartender (judge free zone) read more

The quintessential dive bar, and an icon of the neighborhood. Great music selection, lots of community stuff (local musicians, karaoke, trips to Mets games, etc.) and a great crowd. Bay Ridge may seem like a forbidding place sometimes, but at the 3JP, everyone's ready to make a new friend. Bay Ridge at its best - and you're literally standing in history. Soak it in! Prices are awesome - $5 for a pint, no joke. And they respect the '4th' rule, too. Tip well, my friends, their bartenders deserve it. One tip - be sure to request a 'real' pint glass for your beer, otherwise they use these cheap glasses that are short a couple ounces. Be sure to ask before they pour, however. A bit of history: 3JP may be the oldest continuously operated business in the neighborhood, and the building (and the bar) date back from before the subway reached the Ridge. The Bay Ridge Historical Society has photos of the bar from c. 1895, before 3rd ave was paved. read more

Great place to have fun with friends. Trivia night a blast. Donna bartender amazing she always remembers your drink and she's super funny. I love this place. Coullen another bartender is friendly and attentive. He actually took a drunk out of the bar quickly that was causing a problem. Made me feel safe not like other bayridge bars that let fights start. If you never been there go check it out. read more

This is an old man bar, but a pretty fancy one. The guys at the bar were friendly, even though I am decidedly not an old man, and the beers were fantastically cheap. The air conditioning was icy, the beers were cheap, and the bathroom was clean. What else could you ask for? read more

Favorite bar in bay ridge. Always a fun, laid back, warm feeling there. The crowd is so chill and wonderfully mixed, mostly younger people. The bartenders are SO COOL and the drinks super cheap. They have live music on Saturdays and karaoke on Fridays. Some of the talent that comes out of hiding on Fridays is amazing. And anyone can partake in karaoke and it's usually not a long wait. Cal... Australian bartender.... Makes hundreds of Australian pies a couple times a year and sells them at about $5-7 each at the bar. They're delicious so definitely keep your eye out for whenever he makes them next. The decor of the bar is old-timey and gorgeous. It's a super old bar and the interior is still the same as back in the day... Stained glass, old tile, tin ceiling. The place is pretty spacious too, and they have a pool table and darts! read more

A super classic NYC bar. So "Irish," but sorta classy? Quite large. The bartender was an elderly lady, super New Yorker. Talkative, friendly. But nothing particularly special about the bar otherwise. read more

I am being EXTREMELY generous with these 2 stars...I only visited this joint a couple times during the summers. My grandparents live in Bay Ridge, and don't have cable (if I could rate their house, it would get no stars for that), so watching the Yankees games can be a bit of a challenge. 3JP is literally almost right around the corner, so I venture that way when visiting the grandparents and in need of some good baseball. With that background out of the way, I would absolutely discourage anyone from going to 3JP for anything other than to: 1) Watch baseball while too lazy to walk elsewhere 2) Be hit on by a...cougar's mom. I might be being too harsh on this establishment because of my one traumatic experience here, but the place has a grimy/old person feel to it. Young-er people, steer clear. read more

Cheap, generous drinks and excellent bartenders make this a place to call home- the crowd is surprisingly diverse, and they will welcome you with open arms (whether you like it or not!) The classic architecture and laid back atmosphere makes it less smarmy than the other spots around the 'ridge and people go to there to drink up, talk sports, politics, religion and every other topic you're not supposed to broach in a bar. The Pigeon is a home away from home- not a trendy spot, but a classic place to call your own. read more

Great low-key pub. Lots of regulars, and the drinks are jaw droppingly cheap. The decor is nice (copper ceilings, stained glass windows, oak bar, original ice boxes from the 1920s). The bartenders are super friendly (at least on Saturdays when I go) and while there's a jukebox, they also play classic rock most of the day. I think there are four TVs that show a good mix of sports, movies, and TV shows. The place gets a little more hoppin' at night with live bands and a younger crowd. read more

Come fore the drinks and stay for the... well drinks. I've been coming to this place for a few years now. It's a charming, low kea bar any day of the week but a party on the weekends. Whether is the live band, karaoke, or just some random celebration this place never lets me down. And of course the drinks are always good. read more

An awesome, Brooklyn pub that showcases a lot of local flavor. It's bar and back room areas are fairly large and there are plenty of places to sit. The music is set at a quiet level, but just loud enough to make out the songs. It's a great place to go to watch a football game as I can attest to. The regulars are a bit on the surly, "America Ain't What It Used Ta Be" side, but they're nice all the same. The selection of beers is through the roof, and they even sport the Brooklyn Brewery's Chocolate Stout on tap. That's pretty brave as far as I'm concerned. They also have Manger's on tap which, if I had stayed for a second round, would've had with a nice pint full of ice. Mmm mmm. The absolute one drawback to the place is that both on the way in and out, I couldn't figure out the front door which I know sounds stupid, but the push pull mechanism was all off. Even some of the regulars were pushing when they should've pulled and vice versa. All in all, it's a great little bar. I'm not down in Bay Ridge that much so I don't know how often I will frequent this place. But if I'm ever in the area again, I will make sure to stop in for a drink. read more

2nd oldest bar in Brooklyn, so they say. Has a very old school vibe that I liked. Use to be a speakeasy in they have the "buzzers" in the back the bartender was talking about. It was very funny to watch the bartender kick out this shirts drunk several times. We got live entertainment. read more

This is the place we go to when we just want to relax and drink on the cheap. It's hard to find a place that doesn't insanely ramp up their prices once night rolls around. Some of the bartenders are definitely better than others but buybacks are pretty common. Sure, you will find quite the mix at this place and some days are crazier than others with the people that are in there. But that's what makes it so great. I have yet to see a guido on-site and very few douches. There is music. There are TVs. And there are a few things to do if you really want to keep yourself occupied. read more
