    Chicken Cesar Wrap
    Stefani M.

We stopped in on a whim and this place did not disappoint! Staff were friendly and very funny to talk with! We always tend to gravitate toward Irish bars when we visit the city and it rains. Comfort food is always a must on a rainy day in the city. We split a chicken Cesar spinach wrap and the famous Irish nachos. Both were phenomenal, the nachos had a bit of a kick to them. Not much but enough to make you sweat. Very close to the Barclays center, walking distance. Highly recommend stopping in before an event or for their upstairs beer garden.

Showed up right when the giants game started and managed to get the last two bar seats near the screen! They had a bunch of other games playing at the same time as well. Bar food was pretty decent and all reasonably priced. Would go again. Go Big Blue!

This sports bar is one of my favorite local hangouts. Right across from the Barclays Center on 5th Ave, it's an ideal spot to watch your favorite sport or enjoy & drink * some food before or after a game or concert at the Barclays. The vibe strikes a great balance--welcoming and festive without feeling overcrowded. The decor gives off that classic sports bar energy with just the right touch of neighborhood charm. The food is surprisingly good, with prices that are more than fair for the area. They also have a backyard space that's great for smokers or just stepping outside for some fresh air. What really sets this place apart is the Jerry the bartender. He's genuinely one of the best in the game: personable, quick with a drink, and always makes you feel like a regular. Whether you're rolling through with friends, grabbing a bite with family, or just catching the game solo, McMahons delivers every time.

McMahons is everything that one should expect out of a good pub after being at Barclays Center. It wasn't too crowded, has lots of sports on the TV, and had a pretty standard good selection of food. The roast beef with the au jus tasted great but the fries were just alright. I also thought the beer on tap were on the more expensive side. Despite my rating on Yelp, if I am in need of a sports night with some beer + food, this spot was spacious and a positive vibe.

McMahons has a great vibe to watch games compete with multiple tvs you will find your favorite NFL team on. They have great drinks and food. I recommend their Irish egg rolls filled with corned beef and sauerkraut and comes with an excellent dipping sauce. Service was great check this place out next time you are going out looking to watch a game.

This was a traditional Irish spot with a long bar and loud setting. There was also an upstairs where private events and other engagements seemed to occur. The service was appreciated, and everything came out in a timely manner. The chicken quesadilla and pretzel sticks were ordered. The quesadilla came with sour cream, salsa, and guacamole. The quesadilla was good. There was plenty of seasoning present on the chicken as well as cheese. The salsa and guacamole were a nice touch too. The pretzel sticks came with their Guinness cheese sauce. There were three sticks to an order. They had plenty of salt present and came out hot. They were very soft and went well the cheese sauce. The cheese sauce was on the thinner side with plenty of flavor present. Will I go back? Yeah, sure.

Cute spot with a tiny roof top and backyard space. Nice music & good service. The food was great too!

A traditional Irish pub located a stone's throw from Barclays -- we stopped by for a pre-show bite and drink. The front tables were more casual bar seating but there were full-service tables in the back too. We got some light apps and drinks -- I especially loved the Buffalo Cauliflower and the Hazy IPA I got. The service here is pretty slow, but I'll chalk that up it being packed before the concert. I'd come back!

Fun pub very close to Barclays Arena. We fell upon this as a pregame spot before our event at the arena. Nice size pub with big bar, dining area and second floor seating. Drink menu was good and the my have Guinness which is all I really want from a pub. Food menu includes Irish nachos, calamari, bangers and mash. All the standard pub foods. Service was fast and friendly. Our server Samantha was very good. It's the city so private parking nonexistent. Street parking or parking garages are your option. Stop in before your concert or game for a drink.

Came here after a Nets game and enjoyed a tasty fish and chips. The fish was battered great and was especially crispy. The loaded fries were ok the cheese was not 100% melted but other than that the fries were crispy and had the right amount of salt. The service was great and we were seated promptly

We stopped into McMahons after having dinner at Patsy's Pizzeria. We came in for a drink at the bar & the live music. Gerry (bartender) was gracious & attentive. Checked on us numerous times. The live music was an added bonus to a great nite before heading back to catch LIRR.

And the bathroom sign saying they'll hate me if I break a glass because I leave it on the sink. It's the little things. 6. Trivia on Wednesdays. 7. Homemade fireball? I'm Dominican so I know oxtail pretty well and have made it myself. Thankfully, this place absolutely delivered. The oxtail was perfectly slow-braised, tender, and falling right off the bone -- exactly how it should be. Absolutely amazing. Of course I had the rice and peas, plus some veggies. A few of the veggies were slightly overcooked, but still flavorful and enjoyable. The drinks looked incredible, but I went with the rum punch and loved it. It was a little sweet, but super flavorful, strong, and definitely worth ordering again. For dessert, I had the Hennessy cheesecake, which was rich, decadent, and unbelievably delicious. There were three of us dining, and we all left completely satisfied -- with take-home containers because the portions are VERY generous. The only thing that bothered me a bit was that our server seemed to focus most of her attention on my friend. She is Jamaican, and because I look like a white American woman, I felt a little overlooked at times, even when I had several requests myself. We also had to look for her a couple of times while she was sitting with a group nearby. That said, everyone overall was very nice and welcoming. The bussers especially stood out -- they checked on us often, kept everything clean, and even greeted me in Spanish, which I appreciated. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and will definitely be back with more people next time.

For my hubby, Brooklyn is home - and we always love exploring the new places the city has to offer when we visit. We had reservations, and were seated within 10 minutes, which was reasonable. The place was packed - everyone was in high spirits, and I was ready to taste some of the best Caribbean cuisine in the region. My hubby's best friend - a Brooklyn resident, joined us. He had been to the restaurant a few times - and had good things to say. We were not disappointed. I had the Brown Stew Red Snapper - *chef's kiss*. Hubby had the iconic Jerk Oxtail over Macaroni & Cheese Pie! The English language cannot convey the beauty of that combination! Tender, tender oxtail, falling off the bone with the creamy, cheesy mac & cheese! He wanted to savor that dish another day, so he got a to-go bag and took it back to the hotel! (I couldn't help but clean my plate - I was obsessed with the fish!) Our friend enjoyed the Hennessy Fried Shrimp (not pictured) - one of his favorite dishes at the restaurant. It looked delicious as well. For drinks, I had the Bob Marley cocktail. A colorful drink - flavorful - and effective! There were people celebrating their birthdays throughout the night - and the wait staff goes IN! I was enjoying watching at least 10 people receive the Stevie Wonder "Happy Birthday" song while we were there. Imagine my surprise when it was my turn! My birthday was the day before, and we had already celebrated in Manhattan. Having two special recognition events made the evening that much more special! Shout out to the Simpson crew who came with the song, the rhythm, the sparkling cake, and the good vibes! My 70th birthday was exceptional - without a doubt. The Simpson added the touch I needed. We'll definitely go back next time we're in Brooklyn!

We saw several other families, including one with a small baby, and the vibe was welcoming and chill. It wasn't crowded, so we could sit wherever we wanted.
