I came here with some friends before a concert at Barclays center. I feel bad for even writing this review cause our waitress was very nice and apologized multiple times. But the kitchen was backed up a lot that food was taking too long to come out so we left still hungry. To put it in perspective, we had a reservation at 6pm. Our shared appetizers didn't even arrive until 6:45p. At 7:15p we asked if the kitchen even started on our main dishes and unfortunately they did not so we canceled our order because we had to leave soon for concert. After dinner in the neighborhood, the fiancé and I stopped by for happy hour. I ordered the Oysters on HH for $1.50 each (6 minimum order). It ended up being Trivia Night on Thursdays at 7:30pm, so we decided to stay for it until 9:30pm. Thus, we ended up drinking many more rounds here. I had the cider while he had Guinness on tap, which was solid. The space started during the Pandemic in a garage, thus the name. It's cozy, but able to fit a good amount of people in a 2-car garage space. Nice, local spot for drinks and hanging out. They also have video games, darts, etc. for your entertainment too. read more

I remember hearing about this spot years ago. Their initial beer menu wasn't too impressive when they first opened. Glad I gave them a second chance. Came back again recently and they now always have really unique and fantastic craft beers on tap. I tried a Destihl Blueberry Crumble desert sour and was wooowed. Also tried a coconut ipa and surprisingly liked that as well. Caught up with a friend in between Yelp events next door. He ordered a burger and I tried their fries which were decent. The onion rings here are gluten free. That was interesting. Beers are a dollar off at $7 during happy hour and oysters are $1.50 until 7pm. Their frickles (fried pickles) I ordered also on another occasion a few weeks ago and those were amazing and I'm a fried pickle snob. read more

So exciting and fun to go to a fully gluten free (minus the beers) dive! They even had gf beer, a lager and an IPA, which were both great! We got the mozzarella sticks, which were a little hard in the middle (no cheese pull!) but otherwise great. The nachos were a little sub-par for me--mozzarella feels like a weird cheese choice and they got super soggy quickly--but I would definitely come back and try more. I enjoyed my visit to the Beer Garage experience. This location is an intimate place for a date night or just a celebration for yourself. The place feels like you are in a garage, drinking and talking with your friends, watching a movie or sports game. The calamari was delicious, and the hot chicken wings were very hot. My mouth and stomach were very happy. The Ebbs Kölsch craft beer was smooth on the tongue and not bitter. The bartender and server were friendly and knowledgeable about craft beer, which matches our taste. I love the vibe and food. Ok I really love this spot... have loved it every time. But the nachos are wack... this was completely inedible. Basically a brick of cheese with some cherry tomatoes, soggy "chips" and teeny tiny little fragments of chicken. Honestly, I didn't eat it, which is fine.. except that it was $18. Usually, I would say something to the server, but we went during the championship march madness games and the poor guy was doing his best, but in a tough situation. They were busy and out of everything - buffalo wings, ipas, etc. so I felt bad. Truthfully we have been to this spot 5 times and I've liked it, but I the food is incredibly overpriced for what it is. They have a tightly packed indoor area with a bar that straddles inside and out. A few tables under umbrellas can be found on the sidewalk with a covered shelter in the street. It is a nice and vibey space, perfect for a popular game. Crowd: A good crowd, many gathered to watch playoff hockey. Service: The bartender was great and so friendly. We stumbled across this new bar while walking down 5th Avenue. As their name implies, it's a garage that was converted into the bar. The inside doesn't have too much seating; I'd guess there's probably space for about a dozen. The bar does spill out over into the sidewalk with plenty of outdoor seating including some outside bar seats. The draft list is good. I had a Pilsner from Catskill. The pizza is very good. Thin neopolitan, served up promptly. I had the personal pizza with spinach and my buddy had the same with Spicy Proscuitto pizza. Fried Pickles, 4 large ones on a tapas plate, a nice compliment. Good beers on tap including a few selections from Montauk Brewery up on Long Island, and the Delirium Tremens.
