Love this spot! It is so spacious and it has that neighborhood bar feel. The bartenders are always super nice. It is also perfect for large groups as you don't need reservations. They sometimes even host events in partnerships with a salsa studio, and have a food vendor some days. I read one i found on the subway in korea - they were taking submissions from elder seoulites and displaying them in the tunnels, it was beautiful). I came to the place as I was waiting for a reservation nearby. It was quiet on a early Sunday so it was on the emptier side. Plus it was an open streets day so people were enjoying the relatively warm day. The inside felt like it had air conditioning or at least cooler than outside which I appreciated. The food menu was light in terms of options but definitely more filling in options. I had the glizzard of Oz (I was barely able to say that out loud with a straight face) only since my dinner reservation was coming up but I hadn't eaten anything prior. It was a good hot dog and I was fine paying $6 for it. They don't always have food available so I came at time where they did In terms of the beer and alcohol options, I had a fine time. The beer options on tap rotate and the bartender helped me determine what I should try. I knew I wanted a white beer that is on the fruity side. The beer I had was a pride release (wild East "pack of lions"). And it was pretty good for me and my tastes. They don't do free samples but have cheap 4 oz pours which is fine to me especially if you want to taste a bunch. I switched over to a 4 oz of cider (sundstrom). They had other options like sake, wine and kombucha but I wanted something with small pours for my first time. Overall, the vibes and aesthetics of the place make it fine for a sweet date night or hanging out with friends. I think it is more focused on the beer than other beer halls that have sports. This spacious, elevated brewpub in prospect heights was a really pleasant find! The interior is really well done -- lots of space, but they preserve a warm overall vibe even with the many, many seating options spread throughout the large room. The bartenders were great, really knowledgeable about beer and very focused on quality. They even checked each glass before every pour, gotta love that attention to detail. Covid Review! We sat inside but there was outdoor seating too. We were temped as soon as we walked in and then sat around the periphery of the restaurant. No tables in the middle were sat. We had plenty of space and privacy The bartender and server were both nice. They casually mentioned snacks and later it seemed like a food order of some kind was necessary and they recommended the spanish nuts. They are terrible haha. Most of them arent crunchy and they are loaded with cajun spices but they did not complement our drinks. I suggest grabbing a food menu or for the restaurant to stop serving that all together. But it was a small detail so i will not be removing a star. The server was knowledgeable about the selection. A lot of local brews and interesting wines as well. It was not crowded at all and there were plenty of tables to sit around at. When the fourth-quarter came about, the bartender was more than happy to change the house speakers from music to the game audio. Nice! There's a huge beer selection here, so no matter what your beer preference is, you're certain to find something you like. I ordered a carafe of the Finback "Banana Drip" Imperial Stout -- notes of bananas, coffee, vanilla, and peanut butter, and it's honestly one of my favorite beers to date. 10/10 would order again. My friend brought around 80-90 people there today (a rainy Saturday around noon). She made reservations with the owner for her kid's birthday party and had an open bar for a few hours. A magician came and I asked the bartender to turn down the music at the magician's request. He barely touched the volume and responded that it wasn't a buy out party. There was only one couple there that wasn't with our group. The music was unnecessarily loud. After paying a large tab, my friend asked him if he could at least turn the music down for happy birthday which he obliged. The bartender gave off a very bad vibe. Later I learned that no one from management told him about the party, but this wasn't my friend's fault and they brought in significant business on a day that the bar would be basically empty. Large new beer spot on the bottom floor of a residential complex doling out a considerable selection of brews as well as spirits. Still plenty of seating both inside and out with an immediate safety check as soon as you walk in. Was able to snag seating by the windows and came to the front bar area to order. Beers on draft range from $8-10 for 14-16oz, and $4-9 for 3-8oz. Good variety overall in the beers, and if that's not to your fancy, there are plenty more in can/bottle as well as a full bar of items. Only drawback was there was only one red wine option (which was chilled). For food, got some obligatory peanut mix that was fine to pair with the drinks. The guy who is the bar back is the most miserable obnoxious individual in the world. We came into this place on Saturday with kids and he was so rude. He said we had too many strollers and that he didn't want the kids running around (the kids were all sitting and watching movies). When we gave the kids snacks he came up to us and said "who is going to clean this up?!?" (Obviously we were going to clean up) ... the table next to us broke a glass and he refused to clean it up... He kept saying that the place was going to be get really busy ... it was not busy at all... they had that guy working and two bartenders... you aren't busy... you simply need to staff more people... go to The Bilt bar across the street...they are cool about kids, have sports and some great wings. read more

I can only imagine how popular thus place is going to be in the near future, it's perfect for a group. Also it's proximity to Barclays is decent, and I'd absolutely recommend this place for a higher end pregame spot. Brand new beer bar!!! They have an amazing selection of beers (including a lot of local ones). All sort of styles, including sours (which I am still obsessed with). I had some Hudson Valley, TRVE, and some other craft scene favorites. You can do flights, half pours, or full size pints. For the nicer stuff, the prices can get up there, so I recommend doing a flight and trying some things out. They seem to have a fully stocked liquor bar, but not sure if they're serving yet. I also got a few sips of a Wild East Nitro Oatmeal Stout. Quantity: Tough to see it on the beer list, but they offer full, half, and taste size pours. Value: $9-$12 for Draft Pours. Ambiance: Beer Street South is the second location of this beer bar, this one located in Prospect Heights. It is a much larger space than the original and I feel like it takes a lot of the coziness away from it. This massive space feels more like where there should be a bank or a Chipotle. Huge windows and high ceilings and a space that seems like it will rarely fill up. Small details like the array of candles and copper piping added a little personality, but still it felt very manufactured. Crowd: A small crowd, but the size of the space made it feel empty. Suarez Brothers is a hard to find beer and they are featuring 14 varieties which is insane, basically 2 max is what you will find at the best beer bars. The space is designed way better than the neighborhood so this is great. Christian the bartender gets it, service, space etc. Expect this place too get too busy, maybe a bit uncomfortable. If it's slammed don't buy a 4oz beer and think you can walk back and get immediate service when it's busy. Go into this knowing yes it may be busy, it might take 5-10min to get a drink when it's full and order accordingly.
