Stopped by after work one Friday for happy hour and it was a good time. We didn't have reservations but was seated anyway. Nice space, full bar and the playlist was good. The service was prompt and nice and gave some good menu recommendations! All the drinks were had were delicious the old fashion, was excellent. I ordered the waygu skewer and it was sooo delicious along with the grill halloumi chef kiss!! My first time was A+ I will be back!!

Their drinks are some of the best in the city. The Sakura was so so good we all ordered seconds of it. It tastes like a very light and refreshing espresso martini with a fruity kick to it. Loved the vibes here.

Still just as great as my first time! Since my first visit, I have never forgotten this gem of a place. During an amazing date night on a Saturday in July, we spontaneously stopped by for drinks. We stopped in minutes to midnight for a quick bite and unique drinks. Upon arriving, we were warmly greeted by the hostess. The place was bustling but we managed to get a table. The beauty of the establishment was just as I remembered. It was dimly lit with amber colored lighting by the bar while the vibe remained intimate and soft. I loved it! To my surprise, Mace offers a late night menu from 10pm-1:30am. It features a small selection of snacks. The general menu seems to have changed since my first visit and I also noticed some changes to the drink menu. Change is good in this case, because seemed unique and appetizing. We decided to start our night with the jumbo shrimp cocktail. The menu boats this as 3-pieces of "Jamaican spiced pepper shrimp". My boyfriend and I are Jamaican, so we were very excited for this. We even asked the waitress how spicy it was and she raved that it was "very spicy", almost like a warning. When it arrived to our table, we laughed. It was nowhere near spicy nor was it even halfway close to being Jamaican style peppered shrimp. What we received was traditional cocktail shrimp with a sauce that had a slight spice to it. We were not bothered but rather entertained. For drinks, I had a parsley drink while my boyfriend had the "Spruce". Both were visually pleasing. My drink was refreshing but left me wanting more and something sweeter. My boyfriend loved his drink and I was jealous because it looked better than mine. The little sip he offered me was also tasty. After we completed our drinks and food, we stayed around and chatted until the establishment closed. The staff were very kind and let us enjoy our experience without interruption. In terms of pricing, it is on the higher side. The drinks are worth it, but the shrimp is overpriced. At $18 for 3 pieces and such a mediocre taste, it was overpriced in my opinion. Aside from the shrimp, it was an overall great experience. We are already looking forward to returning again. STILL highly recommended.

Came to Mace to have a drink before dinner and we generally don't do the Village so wanted to find some new places. We came across Mace and loved the bar vibe there. Super sexy bar and nice selections. The service was top notch and appreciated the care that went into our drinks!! Will return for sure.

Mace offers a unique, vibrant experience in the heart of NYC. I booked a reservation for a large group on a Friday night, and they were able to accommodate up to 7 people, which I appreciated. We did have a couple of extra people join, and while they couldn't add more chairs, we made it work--though the space did get a bit cramped. I had tried calling ahead to adjust the reservation size, but unfortunately they did not answer the phone. That said, the place was packed with a young, lively crowd. However, it can get quite loud. There are two restrooms, but it can be a bit of a wait during peak times. The herb-themed drink menu is a fun touch, and I highly recommend the Spruce cocktail--it was honestly delicious and refreshing. The drinks are on the pricier side, averaging $20+. Tldr; Mace is a great spot if you're looking for fun cocktails and a lively atmosphere!

Pretty interesting cocktails with herbal / tinctures. The mustard was pretty mustard heavy but pretty tasty. All the drinks were on sweeter side.

I had such a fun time at Mace! The signature cocktails here are all inspired by some sort of herb/spice/plant which was very fun. Our server was amazing and let us sample some drinks and asked me questions about my personal preferences before choosing one for me. Pandan (6.7/10): This is the only frozen cocktail they offer so I was naturally very intrigued. It uses Pandan liqueur, absinthe, coconut, avocado and other fruits. While I love the taste of pandan, I feel like it was strongly overpowered by the flavor of the absinthe (which tastes like black licorice/star anise). Not my favorite but still fun to try Licorice (7.7/10): This is a whiskey based cocktail with pandan liqueur, banana, caramel, and licorice-miso, and carbonation! Very fun. Not a super strong banana flavor but I did get some underlying sweetness (perhaps from the caramel?). I enjoyed this drink Tarragon (8.5/10): My favorite cocktail I tried! It's vodka-based with St. Germain, pear cider, and prosecco. Very delicious and refreshing. Perfectly sweet! I highly recommend this if you like fruitier/sweeter drinks. I would 100% come back and try other yummy drinks. The space is dimly lit and was bustling--in my opinion perfect for a date night!

Loved the vibe, intimidate and cozy. Sat at the bar. The bartender was super friendly and made killer martinis. Always checking in and keeping our water filled. They have a great happy hour with the basics being offered. It goes from 4-7 they have wines for $10, beer oysters (minimum order of 6) for 1.75 each, and it's perfectly presented, and a shrimp cocktail. Will definitely be back.

Dress code: business casual Drink 5/5: tried their parsley and their sakura drinks, both were amazing and we ended up getting seconds Service 4.5/5: friendly, helpful but slow at times with water refill and orders, pretty busy night Ambiance 3.5: very loud and extremely dim. I get the whole dim lighting for romance but I can't see the menu without using my phone flashlight and it's not like I have bad vision or anything. Value 3/5: 20-25$ cocktails, about par for the course for nyc cocktails Overall 4/5: good drinks at a premium NYC price. Some small tweaks would give the ambiance a big boost

This is such a great cocktail bar. They use fresh ingredients and put a lot of thought into their cocktails. The cocktails tasted really good and are worth the price. They're also well rounded and have a good flavor combination. The bar is also really nice! It's got a rustic elegance and even has a fire place. The seats are comfortable and cozy. Intimate spot for cocktails. Lighting is pretty dim, so it's that sort of vibe. Drinks were good. I liked the Sichuan Pepper cocktail, really smooth. Would recommend ideally for groups of 2-4.

Super chill, theme-based cocktail bar! I loved how each cocktail was based off a herb-- this made the cocktails super unique! Ambiance was very chill and service was great. Definitely want to visit again!

Such a vibe! It's cool and cozy. The menu is eclectic and unique. I got the Tarragon cocktail and we got the onion dip- both were delicious. The service was good and I really enjoyed stopping here and would totally go back!

Our friends raved about this place and we of course were excited (and a bit skeptical at first) to try it. The concept: no menu + no lights + a few questions = the ultimate cocktail experience. The speakeasy vibe and the dark ambiance really makes this place feel even more exclusive. With just a few tables and the bar setting, you're in for an experience you won't forget (unless you answer the wrong questions and really end up with a drink you don't like HA). This wasn't my case. Of course I described my two favorite things: Negroni + mezcal. The obvious answer would be a mezcal Negroni, but that's not why one comes to a place like Attaboy. Our amazing curator came by to ask us all a few questions, write down a few words in the napkins, and mix up the perfect drink that our master bartender crafts, curates and creates. My drink came as I couldn't possibly imagine. It looked like a Negroni smelled like Oaxaca, with all the smoke simmering up and preparing my sensory experience, leading to the best first sip. Ladies and gentleman, I introduce you to The Devil's Backbone. A perfectly balanced drink I'll never forget, one that is sipped slowly and enjoyed thoroughly. It's sexy, it's smoky it's sipped. Attaboy gave the best mixology experience and we can't wait to be back. Pro tip: be sure to be as vocal as possible, even with ice, so you don't end up with a tiki drink if that's not your vibe.

He called us to let us know our table was ready but we missed the call (our fault). We returned the call immediately and got there within a couple minutes anyway. We were ready to patiently wait for the next availability but were met with some attitude and unnecessary comments from him during the waiting experience. It adds a layer of character to the place, but what really keeps people coming back is the atmosphere and the drinks. The space is split into two levels: a two lively, sawdust-floored Taprooms downstairs and a more refined Parlor upstairs if you're in the mood for a quieter, cocktail-focused experience. When two of us arrived, they made it clear this was a big problem. I would have walked out right then but I would have been charged $90! We decided to stay and make the best of it, which was a challenge. For a speakeasy, the vibe was aggressive, not relaxing. Very loud music and not great acoustics.) Too cramped to be comfortable, proving that small does not necessarily mean cozy! We asked if we could take a chair from the table next to us, which was empty (it was only 6 pm; I told our server we'd be gone by 7 because my friend, the birthday girl, had to catch a show.) We were told No! To say the waiter was cold, unfriendly, and indifferent is generous. He was totally rude. He literally told my friend she couldn't sit in a chair that was otherwise empty, knowing we'd be leaving momentarily. Then he had the gail to hand me the bill with a 22% tip pre-selected...and watched over me while I signed it! Definitely the least satisfying $100 I have ever spent. Disappointing.
