    Parades with oxtail Ragu

We went for a Mother's Day brunch. The place was packed. Lots of families with kids and babies 9our server was friendly and sweet and helped guide our decisions. We got the lobster with white asparagus with eggs to share. Yum. It really did not need the eggs. The hollondaise was delicious. We ordered. Oxtail rags, carbonara, and the fish pasta -Sardinian nod. All were excellent. The carbonara could have used a bit of pepper and a bit more pecorino. Guanciale? Or bacon? Also had the scallops which we loved. I ordered a Bellini but it was not a Bellini. No peach. Just a cherry - odd. The Lemon scone was the best we have had - served with cream and lemon curd. Amazing The Carmel custard dessert - was rich but a bit one note. It did come with a crunchy buttery cookie. The ice creams were homemade. The restaurants is lovely. Food wonderful. Service friendly and quick. But it is so loud you are literally yelling at your companions. Maybe they could turn down the music ? Regardless. We love this place!

Fantastic meal! They have plentiful outside seating, and it was so nice on a gorgeous day. The pasta and risotto were so well seasoned and the rosé was so crisp and fresh. Service was very prompt and kind, attentive without being hovery. The gelato cart is a must at the end of your meal!

Came here for Valentine's Day and we were lucky to be able to get a table without a reservation it seems from what we overheard other guests saying! The service was great, our server was very attentive and made great recommendations. I loved their mocktails! I loved the Rosie and I don't recall the name of the second one but they were great! Our entrees were nice and filling. I appreciate that the ravioli wasn't just 4 pieces like it is at other restaurants. Dessert - the affogato was delish! I loved the crunch in the ice cream. It was my first time trying affogato so I don't have anything to compare it to but I enjoyed it. The restaurant itself was busy but they have an outdoor section (nice and warm) and while they had like two or three small tables available when we got there, by the time we left they were all busy. I'd recommend Evelina's!

Evelina is a cute place a few blocks from Fort Greene Park with a cute outdoor gelato shop during the summer. Our waiter was very nice when taking our order and helping us figure out if we needed the steak but was not seen after. He looked like the only person taking orders. We definitely went big ordering a slew of apps, pastas and the steak to share for a party of four. We did not need both the pinsa Bianca and the prosciutto. I thought all 3 pastas were good with the burrata ravioli being my favorite. The steak was just alright. I found the pieces to be cut too thick making it hard to chew. Happy we went but probably wouldn't go out of our way to come again.

Pork Chop - you know it's good when it's such a thick cut and juicy.

The cocktails are a must and the food was delightful. You know it's a good restaurant when it's busy and full on a Tuesday nice.

The food was delicious. A hidden gem and rightfully so we lucked out it wasn't too busy but the atmosphere was wonderful. Customer service was superb. I will be going back

Great ambiance, service and food. Seamless reservation. Last reservation was 2:45pm we made through their website.

Return customers. My wife and I are big fans of this restaurant. We have only ever eaten at the bar, and always receive good service. As per usual all the food was good. The gazpacho was amazing though I do have a soft spot for such. I highly recommend this place.

We were able to snag a last minute reservation during the snow storm for brunch. The endive salad was great and reignited a spark for the veggie. While the eggs benedict was tasty, what was the mushroom cream ravioli. Any of the pastas looked like a good order and I would choose over the traditional brunch options.

DELISHHH Wowowowow. Incredible pasta honestly. We initially came here for brunch but the pasta was calling our name. I really want to come back again to try everything else + their brunch. You know when you go somewhere and their entire menu just looks so good you cant choose? Thats evelina. I think i gotta back another 5 times so i can try everything I want

A little disappointed with what my friend and I experienced at Evelina. We can and got a couple drinks a different dishes to share. We order the whipped cheese, bone marrow, the lamp chop and rib and the short rib pasta. The best dish was the whipped cheese as a starter. The bone marrow did not have a ton of flavor and the lamb chop came out over cooked and all fat. The kitchen was nice enough to send out a new dish, but overall I don't think I would come back. The service was not the best as we had to ask someone anytime we needed something.

Evalina was a cute Italian spot that we went to for dinner. We got the octopus for the appetizer, burrata ravioli with mushrooms in a butter sauce, and duck with roasted carrots and braised figs. Everything was soooo good we had a difficult time ranking what our favorites were. My friend ultimately said the octopus was her favorite bite and mine was the duck. This place had great service and would be perfect for a date night as well!

We came here after a World Cup match between England and Norway. Of course, England won, and we were festive. We were slightly late to our reservation without any problem. We started with fried calamari and shrimp with marinara sauce and a nice bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. For the main entree, I selected traditional lasagna verde with three meat Ragù and Bechamel, while my partner chose homemade fettuccine al Ragù with pork and beef. We had a wonderful dinner here. The food was all delicious and came in timely fashion. We will definitely come back here to try the other dishes on their menu.

Starters: Fried calamari and shrimp- this was a good start although missing a little flavor to the batter but it was good nonetheless. Whipped burrata-this was delicious but it could have been even better with some more of the delicious house bread that we were offered upon arrival. Drinks: Balsamic peach spritz (not pictured) the graduate's favorite drink of the day! She raved about it the entire time. Aperol spritz- very refreshing with a beautiful citrus twist! I loved it. Old fashioned- my boyfriend throughly enjoyed this classic drink. Entrees: Oven roasted branzino- AMAZING! The cook on the branzino was perfect and the broccolini and mini carrots added a beautiful crunch to my experience. I could have taken another order to go. My boyfriend had the house ravioli which was salmon and after taking one bite, I can attest that it was INCREDIBLY delicious! Everyone else thoroughly enjoyed their meals: Ribeye steak Lamb chops with spinach mashed potatoes Lamb chops with roasted potatoes Roasted Chicken Rustichella We ended the celebration with dessert: Olive oil cake- not too sweet and fluffy. Tiramisu- sinfully good! Overall, we had an incredible dining experience and would highly recommend it.

The room is small and romantic, homemade pasta hangs in the front window, and the whole evening felt less like dining out and more like being invited into someone's family table in Florence. We started with the fritto misto, a well executed mix of fried fish and vegetables, alongside an insalata caprese that let fresh tomatoes, burrata and basil speak for themselves. From there we went family style, which is really the only way to do it here. The bucatini cacio e pepe was as much performance as dish, mixed tableside directly in the cheese wheel. The fusilloni di Gragnano from Puglia paired scampi with burrata, cherry tomatoes and arugula for a bright, briny plate, while the tagliatelle verdi brought a rich wild boar ragu finished with fresh black truffle. The two standouts, though, were the agnolotti ossobuco with veal sauce and pecorino fondue rounded out with thyme and lemon, and the lasagna Bolognese. That lasagna, layered with meat ragu, tomato and bechamel, may be the best I have ever had. We paired the meal with a bottle of Salvioni 2022 Rosso di Montalcino, aromatic and beautifully matched to the food. The space is cozy and intimate rather than sprawling, so a reservation is a smart call. Everything else, from the food to the atmosphere to the sense that someone's nonna was cooking just for us, made this one of the most memorable meals in NYC. We would return without hesitation.

I can't say enough great things about the decor the ambience and imagining all of the past goings on in this restaurant. It's been watching over Brooklyn for well over 100 years now! That in itself is a Herculean feat! From what I was told it was very popular with the mob as they say... And that's why the kitchen which is at the very back of the restaurant has full glass windows so that you can see exactly what's going on in there. I guess some of these mob guys were paranoid and rightly so consider considering their history. I arrived with my friend on a Wednesday evening about 6 PM and there were some scattered tables but by 7 PM it was mobbed (pun intended ) in there!! our waiter was affable and patient and a quite enjoyable fellow. As a sidenote, you will not find any female servers they are all male which l lends to the old school vibe in my opinion. My friend ordered the lamb chops with broccoli Rabe. He enjoyed them but did mention that though they had great flavor one of them was slightly tough... It happens... My meal was pasta with Bolognese sauce with a dollop of fresh ricotta on top. It was delicious actually the sauce was excellent. I would've liked to have a different pasta shape but they did not have it. No biggie. I could really say the food was very good but it was not excellent but for me that was not an issue as I fell in love with the place itself. The service was excellent and the ambience was fantastic! I would definitely return again and I highly recommend it if you have never been you must at least go one time!!
