Tartufo Pizza

10/10 experience, from flavors of the pizza to their beautiful salads, this spot is one of your top italian spots in Brooklyn. Cannot miss, great for all group sizes when weather gets better there is an outdoor option too. Drinks are great, white wine is the way to go. Do not sleep on the eggplant Parmigiana, my favorite dish first time trying. Also, great service, very friendly and respectful. Cannot wait to return and try more!

A Night to Remember at Osteria Brooklyn...I recently had the pleasure of dining at Osteria Brooklyn, located in the heart of Brooklyn, NY. My experience was nothing short of exceptional, and I'm excited to share my thoughts on the menu items I had the pleasure of trying. *Osteria On Fire: A bold and spicy cocktail that added a thrilling dimension to my meal. The drink was expertly crafted, with a spicy kick that left me breathless. And the best part? The fire show that accompanied it was a true spectacle! We also tried the Navy Yard cocktail, which I personally preferred more-so. *Beets Salad: A refreshing and light option that provided a welcome contrast to the richer dishes. The beets were cooked to perfection, and the dressing added a tangy zip, especially it's being topped with pistachio crumbs, and granola cheese. *Octopus Carpaccio!: A masterclass in texture and flavor. The octopus was tender and delicate, paired with a citrusy sauce that elevated the dish to new heights. *Fettuccine Osteria: A creamy, indulgent pasta dish that was both comforting and sophisticated. The fettuccine was cooked al dente, and the sauce was rich and velvety. Don't forget to add truffles to make it even more cheesy! *Pappardelle Oxtail Ragu: (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) A hearty, slow-cooked stew that fell apart at the touch of a fork. The oxtail was tender and flavorful, and the pappardelle provided a perfect base for the ragu. I can't wait to return and have it again...my mouth is still watering! *Bread Pudding: A sweet and satisfying dessert that provided a welcome conclusion to the meal. The bread was perfectly toasted, and the pudding was creamy and indulgent. It was topped with pistachio ice cream. *Profiteroles: A classic dessert with a modern twist. The profiteroles were light and airy, filled with a rich and creamy filling with pistachio ice cream. Overall, my experience at Osteria Brooklyn was outstanding. Nathalia Cedeno's service TOP NOTCH, she was attentive and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was cozy and intimate. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. Be sure to try the Navy Yard and Osteria On Fire cocktails - you won't be disappointed! They also have garden and outdoor seating options available.

There is no short supply of good Italian food in NYC. As elevated small plate Italian restaurants continue to materialize in Manhattan, family style restaurants like Osteria are also popping up to serve working class families. The waitstaff when I visited were all Hispanic (typical of the hospitality industry), but the recipes are still classic Italian. Ambiance is relaxed and staff are friendly and non-intrusive. My favorite dish of the night was the Spaghetti Fra Diavolo, a tomato based seafood pasta with plenty of seafood and tasty pasta sauce. The salmon is a close second, perfectly cooked and served with a delightful kale puree and mustard sauce. The only dish that I found underwhelming was the cacio e pepe. Everything else was good, served in big portions and reasonably priced. And to end the meal, a waiter comes over with a plastic tray of faux desserts to choose from (genius sales tactic). Originally, my family wanted to get one dessert and ended up getting two. I can't wait to come back for a second round of their seafood pasta. And maybe some profiteroles. It's not hard to get a last minute reservation and it's a great family dinner Italian spot.

This spot has three locations across Brooklyn and Queens! I visited this Brooklyn location for a Sunday lunch and dived into their refreshing drinks and food. The Osteria Brooklyn cocktail was big and really well balanced! The apps were both classic quality picks. The meatballs were juicy and cheesy and the fried calamari was lightly salted. The pasta was very cheesy of course as it got tossed in the wheel, but was nice and hot. I love the texture of the pasta noodles too. The Rustica pizza had a nice oily pesto base with bits of sausage and potatoes on top. And the Tiramisu dessert was so creamy and had just enough espresso flavor in it. There was a bit of a language barrier with the servers, so it was hard to communicate with them sometimes, but they still did a great job bringing food to the table. It's also quite big inside and they have a nice bar area and pizza oven view. My only con is that the prices here are quite high for food that can be found at other spots for cheaper!

My first restaurant for 2025 and I couldn't be more pleased! Wanted to take a friend for lunch and Italian is her fave, so I was hoping for good, quality authentic food and glad I chose Osteria! It's a quaint restaurant from the outside, I almost passed it, but it is a really cute spot with plenty of seating/space. I like the cute little decors inside, feels very homey. The service was good. Nothing over the top but no complaints. Drinks: my friend had an old fashioned and I had the "Osteria on fire". Our drinks were good, we both ordered a second round. Food: everything was so fresh and delicious! I can't wait to go back! I started with the grilled calamari which is served over risotto. It was SO good! All the flavors just combined perfectly! This dish could probably fill you like an entree. My friend had the caprese which was really good as well. All ingredients were fresh. For entrees I had the "risotto ai frutti di mare" which is a seafood risotto. It was very good and flavorful. My friend had the "fettuccine Osteria" with a side of grilled chicken. Everything was really good! We especially enjoyed the show of having the fettuccine made table side in the cheese bowl. My friend loved everything about Osteria! We will definitely be back and would certainly recommend.

I have never had a bad time at Osteria. It has become a staple for my fiancé and I to visit here every once in a while. Sometimes it is just the two of us, and other times we will bring friends - in any situation, Osteria is a good choice. It is an incredibly cozy and comforting spot to visit in the colder months. I have loved every cocktail and wine choice I've gotten from all my times visiting here - you can't really go wrong. The Fettucine Osteria is one of THE best pastas I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. They make it beside your table so like, dinner and a show vibes. I always give a little clap after. The performance is always enchanting. They shave truffles on it and the flavor is actually just unbelievable. It is 10/10. My fiancé says the burger is also incredible here. He says to bear with him - he understands this is an Italian spot, but he really can't go wrong with the burger. It's a tried and true and consistently impressive option for him. He loves that the bacon comes on the burger automatically instead of having it as an upcharge, a rarity these days. Last time we went, we shared a caprese for the table. It was great to split between the 4 of us, and the ingredients were exceptionally fresh. If you're looking for a cute and cozy date night or are meeting some friends out on a colder winter month, def check out Osteria.

Honestly this place was pretty mediocre. I was very dissatisfied with the special which was a steak and mushrooms for 45$. The food had no flavor. The charcuterie & cheese plate was very basic. For the price I would at least expect two types of cheese maybe one soft and one hard but no it had three meats, 4 grapes, and one type of cheese cut like French fries. The host was not the friendliest and the drinks were not tasty at all. This was not the most enjoyable experience, for the price I feel like things could be a lot better.

This is by far the best Italian place I've ever been to. It was quiet inside and not super busy but it was later in the evening. Our waiter was super nice and attentive. Food came out fast and we all loved our dinners. I ordered the Malloreddus Cavatelli and it was DELICIOUS! Such great flavor. It was a good portion size and was decently filling. We will definitely be back next time we're in New York as this place is the best!

Everything tasted so good! You have to come here. All of the dishes tasted fresh and the flavors were so dynamic. The oxtail pasta, spicy crab ravioli, and seafood risotto were absolutely delicious. The meatball was really good too. Even the bread for the table was great. Everything I ate I wanted more. The drinks were really good too. Well balanced and made with real juices. The staff was so nice and they made my birthday really special. I will be back!

3.75* stars. This would be a review of their new LIC location (no yelp page yet). I've been meaning to check out this place now that Piatto [thankfully] vacated the place and am glad to say we've definitely traded up! Very fair pricing, great food... and slowish service that hopefully is still getting worked on. I came in around 4:30pm on a Saturday when my folks were visiting for my birthday. Given the time [early bird special], there weren't many other tables taken, but service was pretty 'relaxed' throughout our dinner. Also notable, it was...a bit drafty, given that it was 25ish degrees out, but was still rather chilly inside. That said, Osteria Brooklyn's food is spot on. We got: Apps: Grilled Calamari - herbed grilled calamari with saffron risotto: I've never had this preparation of calamari, but god damn was this tasty. Loved the seasoning on the calamari and the risotto was super flavorful. Pulpo al Carbone - garbanzo beans, olives, and jalapenos - the chickpeas and spread on this dish was delightful, along with the perfectly cooked octopus. delish. Mains: Both of my folks got the Branzino al Forno with potatoes - I got to try some of the fish, and it was cooked to perfection! I opted for the famed Pappardelle & Ossobucco with lamb shank and goat cheese pastata. Good lord, this is one decadently delicious dish. Portion size was very generous and the lamb was [sorry for the cliche] fall-off-the-bone tender, and al dente pappardelle. And I am just obsessed with all things goat cheese, so this dish just hit on all points for me. Glorious. Desserts: I happen to love bread pudding, and I'd advise any/all fellow addicts to get the Budino di Pane, traditional Italian bread pudding and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Thiiiiiick and delightful. My dad also wanted some tiramisu, which I liked...but like I said, I'm all about that puddin. I was the only one to indulge in a drink, which was a vodka martini - it was fine, a little underpoured, but still fine. My dad and I also got espressos with our desserts, which were very good and strong. All in all, I have hopes for LIC's version of Osteria Brooklyn. The service could use a bit more pep in their step (but totally hospitable, helpful, nice, etc.), and maybe pay a bit more attention to the thermostat...but damn good food and an exciting new addition to the LIC waterfront dinning scene.

4.5/5 Came here around 1pm on a Saturday with my friend. The service here was pleasant and prompt. We got the crispy rice with salmon as a starter it had two decent sized portioned and tasted fine. Then had the house special pasta with fresh pasta finished in the flaming cheese wheel what a great dish and the best we had . I would come back and eat any pasta here any day!! And a great show. We also had the shrimp roll from the brunch menu that was fresh and tasty and the nice mini onion rings perfectly complemented the sandwich. It was a bit over dressed. I look forward to trying more of the menu next time.

Starters: Fried calamari and shrimp- this was a good start although missing a little flavor to the batter but it was good nonetheless. Whipped burrata-this was delicious but it could have been even better with some more of the delicious house bread that we were offered upon arrival. This was high up on my search, and with reviews like what they have, we decided to give them a shot. Its very easy to get to with a decent amount of street parking. Seems a bit out of place next to a deli on a residential block. You can kind of miss it if youre not paying attention. We were a party of 6 and had a 5 PM reservation. You have to pass through this dark curtain and go to the middle of the bar where the host will greet you and bring you to your seats. We were seated promptly with no wait. The restaurant is VERY small. So much so that at our table, all I had to do was reach my hand out and I would have been touching the kitchen counter. It does get a little crammed/crowded, but not in an annoying or unbearable kind of way. The vibe is actually really cozy and rustic. Very dim lighting so either whip out the flashlight on your phone or hold up one of the real candles they have on the table to read the menu. The food menu is straightforward and simple. They have an extensive wine list. I love how on the food menu, next to each dish, they tell you the region of Italy that dish gets its roots from. They have lovely dinnerware here. They brought out a foccacia bread for the table with a tomato dipping sauce. Absolutely delicious foccacia. The sauce was a tad too salty for me. I started off with the mocktail Luisa. It was passion fruit, lemon, agave, ginger beer, and mint. It was $10 and very fresh and mouthwatering! For my appetizer I had the Calamari alla griglia. Grilled calamari with guacamole and carasau bread. I've never had grilled calamari before. Only either marinara or fried. I also thought pairing it with guacamole was an interesting twist. I was so pleasantly surprised by this dish. The calamari were perfectly fork tender grilled. The guacamole went well with it. The carasau bread was more like a tortilla chip. They give you a decent amount for $24.95. That app slid down my throat effortlessly! For my entree I had the Maccheroncini alla Norma. Maccheroni with eggplant in tomato sauce with ricotta cheese. The pasta was so fresh and perfectly cooked. The sauce reminded me so much of my Calabrian grandmother's. The ricotta made it rich and creamy. Filling as well. So much so that, even though it wasn't a huge portion, I had to take home half of it because I was verging on being stuffed! My mother had the Cotoletta alla milanese. Keep in mind that if you get this chicken cutlet dish that it serves about four people, even though its for 1! HUGE portion. About 4 enormous cutlets that gave my mom 3 days of leftovers! All of the desserts were $12.95. A nice selection to choose from, but I had the classic Tiramisu. They make it here tableside. He made it with such care. Loved watching him put it all together. Let me tell you, that was the BEST Tiramisu that I've EVER had! Wow, just amazing. Very balanced, quality ingredients. The marscapone was so decadent, creamy and fresh. I could have easily taken down 2 of them! I tried some of my mother's chocolate cake. Delicious and decadent. Service throughout our dinner was above and beyond. Attentive, kind, concise and our waiter was such a cutie! Smooth sailing throughout the entire meal. We barely had to wait for anything. Amazing restaurant and staff. Prices are just fine and the quality goes way beyond. Can't wait to come back. Highly impressed and recommend!

For dinner, I ordered the special for the night which was cacio pepe ravioli, while my husband got the tagliatelle verdi con ragu. Both of our pasta dishes felt extremely fresh. The ravioli was unlike anything Ive had before, with flavorful cacio pepe filling and a butter sauce with pancetta complementing the flavor. The tagliatelle was also delicious in a more ragu centric way, still offering a good balance of flavor. Both dishes were pretty filling and so neither of us could finish it. We ended the night with cannolis, which was a pleasant surprise to find 3 came in 1 order. One side is pistachio while the other had a coco dusting. These were again delicious but pretty filling and sweet so we could only eat one. The staff here was also very friendly and service was quick with food coming out much faster than I expected. Overall I would come back and try even more on their menu.

With today's social media heavy and influencer dominated marketing, this restaurant sits on a quiet street in Brooklyn just going about its business. Known as an Italian red sauce shop that served all walks of life, including possibly the mafia, this place has seen it all. If only the walls can talk, I could imagine all the stories it holds. Our friendly waiter has been there for 20+ years and shared some of his experiences and memories. It was a nice bonus to our meal for four. For appetizers, we had some Clams Oreganata (8/10), Fried Calamari (8/10), and Roasted Peppers w/ Anchovies (8/10). I would say that these three starters were the highlights of the meal. The entrees were not bad, just not as outstanding as their appetizer counterparts. My favorite of the bunch was the Eggplant Parmigiana (8/10), which was delicious and well made. The other three items, Pork Chop alla Bamonte's (6/10), Ravioli w/ Meat Sauce (7/10), and Rigatoni w/ Sausage & Broccoli Rabe (7/10), were all decent, but nothing special. By the end of the meal, four of us all agreed that it was a fun experience. With all the great options for Italian cuisine in NYC, it's not somewhere that stands out enough for regular visits. However, I would stop by if I was in the neighborhood.
