The service was great. The meat and cheese board were perfect. The meatball appetizer was good as well. The pastas had great flavor but the pasta itself was gummy (and no I don't mean Al Dente and yes I know how fresh pasta tastes). Not sure why it had the gummy texture. Unique menu, very unusual items. The restaurant's namesake dessert, the Cremini, are a delicious item probably available nowhere else in America. However, there is a big problem here. The sweet cream dessert is fried in the same oil as the fried olives stuffed with beef. As a result, the dessert tasted like olives and beef. Nasty, truth be told. What is wrong with restauranteurs? If you are too stingy to have two separate fryers or won't change the oil, you will have to deal with customers who reveal the truth. Unfortunately, everything here is better in Italy. read more

Cremini's is now my go-to for Italian food. Service-perfection. Really, I cannot say enough about how welcoming Ricardo is. Ambience-intimate without being stuffy. Perfect for dates but also for catching up with old friends. Wine list-great options and great range of prices. Again, something for everyone's taste. Food-wow. Fresh, homemade and you know the chef is putting her heart and love in the cooking and showing off her country and Region. The Olives-get them (obviously!). We did the mixed and my favorite was probably the Gorgonzola but I also just love gorgonzola. We were a table of 3 and also shared the meatball app, the cacio e Pepe and the rigatoni. Seriously was a perfect combo. The meatballs are in a white wine sauce and beautifully light. The pasta was itself was delicious - then you add the sauce. The sandwich with truffle cream is a MUST. Not to mention their wide selection of Spritz that I need to go back and try. An absolute dream! Rustic, charming and completely authentic. I am so thrilled an Italian resturant dedicated to the Le Marche region cuisine opened in NYC. My grandmother was from a small seaside town in Le Marche and I studied at the Università degli Studi di Urbino. I curiously stopped in for aperitivi with my boyfriend. I had not had or even seen crescia on a menu since I had been in Urbino; I was giddy with nostalgia. We ordered the classic ascolona olives, the classic creminis, pasta "Le Marche" and two spritz. Fantastico! All excellent and delicious. I did feel as if I had been transported to an Italian piazza. Please, please try this place! The menu and food are unique and exciting. Elena and Riccardo are so warm and friendly. Elena said she makes everything from scratch and by hand daily. I even found out Riccardo studied at Urbino, too. They put so much care into the food and the atmosphere. I will be back with my dad and sister, for sure! read more

A pandemic business trip to Manhattan found me venturing deeper into Brooklyn than normal. It was there I sought out Creminis, a small place I had read about earlier this year. The evening was balmy and I was able to grab one of three outdoor tables ( I think they have room for more if necessary). The owners, Elena and Ricardo, were quick to make sure I was comfortable. And they were eager to engage in conversation about their background, their homeland, their food and their drink - I was easily convinced to chose a chilled red from Ricardo's short but specific wine list. It would be difficult to find nicer, more authentic owners in the city. And you would be hard pressed to experience a more authentic regional Italian menu outside of Le Marche. I opened with a fresh fennel and Mandarine orange salad - as simple and bright as it sounds, almost plate cleansing. The perfect salad for a warm Summer night was followed by one of their Crescias, an in-house, warm flatbread wrapped around soft stratcchino, sopresatta and - my favorite sandwich green - arugula. I don't often order sammies at restaurants - I own a sandwich shop in Boston. But this was a great decision - boy was it good! Elena makes the bread for each order from a homeland recipe. That alone is the best reason to try it. I will return to Cremini to visit with Elena and Ricardo, but next time I will bring my wife - that way we can try a lot more of the menu! I would so love to live in a neighborhood with this kind of cafe, this kind of passion and commitment to food and heritage. read more

I really don't write reviews much but I have to counter the review from Sam below. I've gone to Cremini's a half dozen or so times now, alone, with family, with friends, etc, etc, and each time has been just an absolute joy. The service is impeccable, the food is outstanding, from beginning to end one of the more enjoyable dining experiences I've had since moving to nyc five or so years ago. I'm writing this review in particular because whenever I dine alone I sit at the bar which gives a fairly open view to the kitchen and...while I haven't seen the entire kitchen (it's surprisingly large!) I haven't seen anything resembling a microwave. And even if I hadn't seen anything of the kitchen, there's been nothing in my experience that would even remotely make me think that they microwaved anything. Moving on from that, the burger is something else, the all'arrabbiata which a few others have brought up is just a warm blanket on a cold night, ascolane, pasta la marche...I'm going to stop here so I don't embarrass myself with how much I've eaten here. I saw the Eater review and came here for the Crescia sandwich after a trip to other half brewing. $10 gets you a "flatbread" like sandwich where you can pick your meat and cheese. The very nice couple who run the restaurant suggested Gorgonzola and mortadella and that's what I went with for my to go order. It also comes with arugula. It was a very nice combination. The lady makes the bread daily and can take her upward of 3 hours to make enough for just 7 sandwiches or so. I found that amazing as it wouldn't take much to run out of with a lot of orders. The Italian owners have a passion for food I have not seen very often, especially for such a small place. While I live far away, I will be back to try something else! read more

I have had this spot on my bookmarks forever and finally and very last minute we made it out to give it a try and I loved it. It's not pretentious fussy place it's like going to someone's lovely welcoming house with great wines, great food, great service and great environment. It's hard to find authentic well prepared Italian food in NYC. Believe it or not. This is regional Italian from Le Marche and they offer dishes I have not seen on any menu in NYC to date. There is one dish you see on many menus and that is a cacio pepe which more often than not disappoints me. But the cacio pepe here is excellent. I have not had a cacio pepe this good since I was in Rome, in an non tourist restaurant, with local friends. Nothing is rushed here so go enjoy some wine, aperitivo and a relaxing environment and you will be a happy camper. Can't wait to repeat our visit. read more

I can say this was hands down the best Italian restaurant I have visited in a while. The food is authentic, fresh and tastes amazing. I discovered this place a week ago while I was stuck in the traffic on Court street. I happened to look around and noticed an Italian bistro from Marche, which is a region of Italy where they have the best stuffed olives so I made a note to come back and try it. I went there two nights ago for dinner with my husband and I absolute loved everything about this place. First of all, the cheerful welcome from owners Elena and Riccardo made me feel I was in Italy, they were super friendly and polite when they introduced themselves. It's very rare to find a place in New York where people are genuinely nice. Then the atmosphere was just perfect, the place is brand new, beautifully designed and well curated in all their details: from the design of the menu to the take out boxes. The menù is based on typical food from Marche which includes olives, cheese and charcuterie. Everything is homemade and you can taste it, very delicate but at the same time delicious. We had the Crescia with mortadella and stracchino, a mix of fried olives stuffed with truffles, gorgonzola, fish and veggies, hand cut fries and bombe with homemade cream/custard. I admit it took us way too long to finally come here (my lack of research led me to think it was a sandwich shop only) and all I can do is regret the meals I didn't get to experience. But I've finally seen the light! Okay but seriously, this place is SO GOOD. Like, couldn't stop happy food dancing good. The wine? Incredible. The fried olives? Insane. I got the stuffed gnocchi which by the end I was forcing myself to eat because it was so good but I was so full. My boyfriend got the special black pasta and the only times he came up for air were to say "wtf???" because it was that delicious. Despite the fact that my dinner nearly put me in a food coma, we managed to make room for the tiramisu and it did NOT disappoint. Even if you're the fullest you've ever been in your life... get the tiramisu. The owners are so dang delightful and fun too. It felt so homey and like dining with friends, as cheesy as that sounds. We were warmly greeted by the owners when we walked in. Due to COVID, the restaurant did such a good job with distancing all the tables that I thought the restaurant was a pastry shop! They have more seating in the back that can't be seen from the entrance. We got the fried stuffed olives which we haven't seen before! We dove into their spritz drink menu - delicious.
