Context - came on December 22 - which is actually my birthday. I live in West New York, New Jersey. Have reviewed many chipotle's around the continental US, including the one in Hoboken. I would recommend reading my review of the one in Hoboken: and compare it with this one. Summary:l it's chipotle. Yes, some stores qualities may differ before the most part, and especially this location in Brooklyn - you know what you're getting. For me it was: 1. Burrito bowl with chicken and corn. 2. Carnitas burrito with so many extras added on. Inside the place in the ambience and the Bible was fantastic. Plenty of seats and plenty of lighting with the bar being very clean. What separates a chipotle, such as this location from other brick-and-mortar locations to me will always be the customer service. Unlike the one in Hoboken - the customer service at this location is 15 out of 10. I highly recommend coming to this location primarily because of the service: a.k.a., the employees which I will detail with their names below: Tefflone - he was a cashier who took my order. Very polite and very personable. Asked me if I needed a bag for my items. It was very professional. Naji - I actually met him first and found out for example, some good news he had working with chipotle. He is now a leader within this store. I have to tell you - he deserves every right to be. E.G. When I went to the cashier, he told me that he was preparing to give me 50% off my order, but I had already paid and told them I appreciate it but no thank you. The entire staff here welcomed me back and said next time you come please take the discount. For your context - I completely understand how busy and how the line works within an environment, such as chipotle, a coffee shop, high volume transactional, merchant stores. Naji was offering me 50% off because I waited maybe no more than 30 seconds at the beginning because of miscommunication. It wasn't even their fault. It was simply a miscommunication between both parties. That right there is service at chipotle that I consider among the best I've ever seen. Thank you Naji Ari - holding down the fort. End to end she took my order for both items. I want to thank you Ari for being so accommodating whenever I ask for smaller pieces of an item or a little bit more of another item. I also appreciate even though you apologized for my burrito being too big - to me that's a good thing so thank you Ari. As you can see, I highly recommend this place. Between the three staff I mentioned above - I hope that when you read this and you decide to go to this location: you will be able to interact with them because they are amazing and the sole reason why I will always consider coming here whenever I'm coming back from work end my chipotle fix. To sum it up - all three of them told me please come back. It's too cheesy to call a family - but this is as good as a consumer to merchant relationship can get because of the staff members I presented in detailed above. Will be coming back again. Overall food quality - 0 out of 10. Tomato salsa tasted spoiled and, fajita veggies raw and unseasoned,the meat smell was revolting. What is the point of Chipotle creating and online ordering system where you can ask for extras, if employees will not only NOT add a bit more, but more then that will take this as a personal attack and add even less on purpose. Really hit or miss depending on time of day/staff. This location is roomy, but always looks a bit run-down/about to close when I go in due to patches of paint/drywall looking like it's in progress or trash areas blocked off when it's not closing time yet. On our first visit the servings were large and communication was great at the end of a weekday night. On our latest visit on a Sunday evening, the employee working piled on the sour cream despite me asking for a tiny bit and then when I went to use my rewards at the register, confirmed with me not once but TWICE that my reward went through only for me to see that I was charged for what should've been free chips & salsa on the receipt. Unfortunately the manager just started their break (what perfect timing, not sure this was for real) and there's no way I could've gotten a refund for another 30 minutes. This was a to-go order for me (this location doesn't do online ordering according to the app) so waiting 30 min was a no-go. Another employee was called over for assistance only to tell us we needed to communicate to them when we use rewards (we did) and also to ask to make sure it goes through (we did x2). The dollar amount wasn't that high but the situation and how it was handled is still frustrating/disappointing. read more

I came here for a salad & the gentleman who put my lettuce & chicken in the bowl was professional. The woman who finished the rest of my salad & the gentleman at the register is the reason for the 1 star. The woman continued with my salad & I ordered a large guacamole & chips & instead of her pouring the guacamole in the cup as a normal human being would do using a spoon, she slide the side of the spoon along the side of the cup. Who does that?!?! They must be doing that as a way to make sure less is put in the cup since they aren't pouring it in as a human would do with a spoon. I then said to the tall gentleman, (who by the way didn't ask if I wanted anything else such as a drink or something & I'm assuming he was training a new hire since he was standing right next to her & telling her what to key in) "that's the way Chipotle tells its employee to put the the guacamole in the cup"? & he said "yup, everywhere has rules". I went to the highest rated Chipotle in my neighborhood as an experiment. I ordered the chicken bowl and carefully separated out the chicken in the metal container. The weight of the full container (which includes some bits of rice/corn and chicken) minus the empty container clocked in at 83g or ~2.9oz. This is way off the advertised 4 oz on the corporate websites. I feel like this franchise deserves a class action lawsuit for false advertisement. Not a great experience . I came in at 5:55 PM and all the fixings are empty. They have no onions and peppers., no corn, no cheese, and no chips. They try to give me my dinner without any of that. I told them I wanted corn and onions and peppers and they simply said we don't have any . I asked them how long it would be and the guy in the back said a few minutes which is fine, but I should've been told that instead of just trying to bypass all the extras. This place is hovering right over a 3.5. The customer service lacks luster; however only one person ahead of us so prompt in taking our order. That said, I asked for the "Whole 30" bowl since seeing advertisements about it being available. The response I received was " I don't know what it is you have to tell me." I figured if an entree is being highlighted, a food server should be able to offer you the choices within that offering. The cauliflower rice is an up charge of $2.00. At first, I said no problem but opted to go with a lettuce base since the portion was being rationed so tightly and it looked like we were scraping the bottom of that pan. I asked if freshly cooked vegetables were coming out. They were not, but I was told what was there was plenty. Long lines, very loud, but lightning speed service with consistant filled to the top satisfying rice bowls! Closest branch to me in Brooklyn, if I really had to get my Chipotle fix I would have to drag my husband to the car and have him drive 20 mins to get here. My favorite, from any Chipotle, I would say is the chicken wih cilantro rice bowl filled with black beans, topped with EVERYTHING, of course! The pico de gallo is on point, corn salad is refreshing, creamy guacomole and chips, what more can a hungry mom ask for? The only thing that's holding me back from giving more stars is the cleaniness. Always, garbage everywhere, dirty tables, I know it's the others enjoying the yummy meal slobbering the food away, but still, should have someone on a cleaning routine, constantly, during peak hours. Also, need to stock up on utensils and napkins, I'm always one of those whose ready to eat walk to the counter and wow no utensils?! This is the Chipotle that is out of the norm. Don't get me wrong Chipotle is great but most Chipotles give a small portion. This was the Chipotle I always went to since I started College in the Fall 2011. Every time I come here my Burrito bowl would be almost completely full. The steak is always fresh and tender. It gets busy during lunch and dinner time. There is always two floors of seats so don't worry about not getting a seat. Service is decent, never had any problem here. This used to be the best location in Brooklyn but the last few times I've been the worst. When the old staff left of you years back the quality slid dramatically and my friends and I stop coming year. I gave them a chance about a year ago and it was so-so, so as it a why not give them another chance today? That was not the right idea. The staff was fairly friendly in move quickly, scooping heaps of freshness into my burrito bowl. We paid took a seat and everything seemed like it will be great until about the 3rd bite. My entire sinus cavity was aflame! Where did there extremely hot peppers come from? I got medium and mild salsa but it seems someone that did the prep today didn't get the memo the aforementioned levels are not supposed to set your entire world on fire. I eat spicy food (and cook it) on a regular basis but today was not a good day for spicy food. I feel really sad for anyone else who has made this mistake that may have digestive distress behind this oversight. I ordered a chicken burrito bowl, but they were out of chicken. On the prep line, I could a dish full of cooked chicken, but no one was chopping it. I decided to skip the meat altogether. I visited on a Sunday afternoon and she noticed that some of the meats were "dry". So she recommended that I wait a few minutes for them to prepare new food. I have never experienced this action at other Chipotles. Normally, they would pile on the driest and raggediest ingredients your burrito bowl. So when you, Chipotle, give me a burrito that is so poorly constructed and so poorly mixed, you are defeating the beautiful concept that is the burrito. What I'm saying here, and I can't believe I'm advocating this, is that at Chipotle, you should get the burrito bowls. If the burritos are going to fall apart, make a mess, and be impossible to eat properly with my hands...you might as well get the stupid bowl, eat it with a fork, and be less of a fat slob. This particular Chipotle is extremely popular, probably because of the dearth of other good lunch options in the area. For instance, there will still be a long line at 2:30 pm on a Thursday. It is what it is. Whenever I get a monster craving for some quick Mexican food, my first choice is almost always Chipotle, even though the lunchtime lines run all the way out the front doors sometimes, and on the fifteenth bite, the food somehow doesn't taste quite as mind-explodingly delicious as the first one did. I like the interior in this one, and even though I always take my Chipotle to go, there always seems to be enough seating for everyone. Lines actually move pretty quickly, but TIP: no matter which Chipotle you're heading to or what time, ordering online seems to be the safer bet. If I could I'd leave no stars. Today I ordered lunch through the grub hub app. The delivery guy who was originally assigned to the order did not deliver my food. The order was reassigned to another delivery guy. The delivery man went to pick up the order and Chipotle refused to remake the order. Horrible customer service absolutely horrible. Managment did not remake the food and refused to. If I were you I wouldn't visit this establishment this is by far the worst experience I've had with a fast food restaurant. If I paid for my food and did not receive it what is the problem with remaking the order. Screw this place and screw the management of this establishment. I have had Chipotles before but this one really tops my taste. The first time I had tried it, I was not prepared for the... exquisite taste of Chipotle so it left a foul taste in my body and soul. However, this time, I was prepared to face anything that Chipotle would throw at me, and prepared I was. This Chipotle had everything that I was hoping for with their Chicken Burrito Bowl plus some chips and dips on the side. Their chicken was simply heavenly plus the crisp and salty chips meshed and mixed well with the tangy sauce of the dip. However, the one thing that I will comment on is that the bathrooms are really dirty; at least from when I went. On the other hand, I did go during rush hour so not much could be done to clean in the middle of rush time. Overall, great food experience, but not so good restroom experience. 4/5. read more

It's a chain place. That being said, I've come to respect Chipotle more and more over the past 5 years. I actually came across a Chipotle in Midtown East that served white rice AND brown rice options. Huzzah! Now we just need them to offer whole wheat tortillas and we're in business. At Chipotle, I always get either a chicken fajita salad with no rice and gauc on the side or a chicken burrito with no rice, black beans, veggies, salsa and guac on the side. If I'm feeling very naughty I ask for a minuscule amount of cheese and a DROP of sour cream. That adds up and you know it! The people at my neighborhood location on Montague are always pleasant and the space is kept clean. I also love it that the guacamole is a tad cheaper here than the locations in Manhattan. There is often a long line during lunch hours on the weekends but it moves fast and efficiently. On a personal note, I wish Chipotle wasn't sleeping in Tabasco's corporate bed... All the hot sauces in every single establishment are all by Tabasco. I would prefer Frank's or Cholula or Tapatio to Tabasco on my burrito! read more

I love love love Chipotle. So hard. We popped in here for dinner one night in Brooklyn and the line was LOOOONG. Sadly it moved verrrrry slowly, too -- we probably waited 20 minutes before reaching the front. But the food was so damn good I'm not even docking it a star for that. They ran out of steak at some point (or were about to run out) and one of the staff went through the line to tell EVERYONE. I thought that was pretty unnecessary but super nice, since some people did leave when they found out (I'd be pissed if I waited that whole time and found out while I was ordering). I am used to the Chipotles in New England, but damn, this one really piles the food on. My chicken bowl was PACKED with food and I wanted to eat every single bite. Despite the place being so busy, there was TONS of available seating (including an upstairs area), so we had no problem finding a spot. Probably my only complaint was the bathroom. Dirty, and when I went to pump the soap, some nasty smelling liquid came out and then the water would NOT get hot so I had to scrub it off my hands with ice cold water. Fun. read more

They have fresh ingredients, they work quick, the prices are reasonable, and they remember to give appropriate portions. I was in the area and needed a quick lunch. I got my usual salad bowl with no rice. All ingredients were fresh, and I found a nice seat upstairs. There is a restroom upstairs, and it's clean. I was surprised, because this is usually not the case in busy areas. People clean the tables after they are finished eating, and it can be said that the restaurant is clean overall. Well you know what they say... Girls love Chipotle and yes I am one of them! I love chipotle!!! Yes it's Mexican style fast food but it's good! I love that they serve grass fed beef! They also have introduced the new sofritos which is a mixture of seasoned tofu and plantains and it is good! It's sooo good that I don't order the chicken or beef anymore!
