Love the happy hour till 6:30pm. Nowadays you can't get any deals. But this place has lots. I sit by the bar n love watching Eddie the bartender make the drinks w precision. Love the skull artwork in the back. I had Pastor taco $6 sooo good. Steak taco $5. And I had to have the street corn $6. So good. I would def come back. Great neighborhood place.

My home base!! Casa is truly one of the best authentic Oaxacan Mexican restaurants. This restaurant serves up dishes crafted from homemade recipes that are rich in flavor. Also, the entire staff are so cool and genuine, you'll keep going back just to hang out with them. Favorite dishes - Mole negro, any fish special, & Carne Azada Favorite cocktails - Green razor & Negroni Del Sur Best dessert - Flan !!

Came here for a Birthday meal for my Dad awhile back. Loved the food, aesthetics were a vibe. Service was outstanding. Very cute place. Lots of unique nice art/accents/decor that make for a very photogenic night for those who are into that sort of thing. Onto the most important part - food! The Branzino was the star of the show for me - Really tasty. I'm not sure if it's a regular menu item but it should be :) Fish Tacos were good. Only thing I didn't enjoy were that the drink were too pricey and mostly ice but probably on par for park slope. Overall it's a cool place to check out.

I have dined at Casa Azul maybe 20 times with my family and it is hands down our favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. I recommend the whole menu!

Omg best food and drinks!! I'm a margarita and tequila girl all the way and this place has a bar with so many different tequilas and I was amazed. We had An array of apps, entrees and dessert and everything was amazing. I let the staff know I had back issues and she gladly put me in a comfortable and large booth. Honestly this is the best Mexican food I've had. Everything is point hot and full of flavor, it's so good I wanna gate keep this spot lol

I enjoyed Casa Azul. The decor was really cute and chic. If you like pics for social median you can definitely catch some nice pics in there. It was a Sunday afternoon, and it wasn't crowded. We were seated upon entry. The host was also our table help and she was really sweet. I appreciated that she let me sample Mole before I ordered it. I think I basically made up my own meal and they accomplished it. Lol. It wasn't on the menu but I told them what I felt for and they hooked me up. The Guacamole was good! I can tell it was freshly made. So good! The chips seemed made in house. So that's a plus. The food was tasty and a good experience. Ithijg was bland that's for sure. I loved the black beans (but I love beans. Lol) I would recommend and will be back because the cocktails look great. The day I went, just wasn't a cocktail kinda day for me

I've been here twice, once for brunch and once for a friend's birthday dinner. Both times, the food, drinks, service, and ambiance were excellent. For dinner I ordered the grain salad and it was delicious and filling, especially for a salad. For brunch, we got an array of brunch cocktails, all of which were unique and enjoyable -- but I'd recommend skipping the espresso martini, which was a bit watery. All of their other drinks infuse Mexican flavors and are much better anyway. For food, we got guacamole, the fried fish sandwich, and the pork tacos. The pork tacos were good but the fried fish was excellent. It also came with fries which had a rosemary seasoning and were surprisingly great. The guacamole and chips were a little salty for us, but you could shake enough salt off the chips to solve for it. For dinner, our servers accommodated a large dinner party with no issues and quick/friendly service. For brunch, our server was very helpful with drink recommendations and ensuring our party's food allergy was handled without any issue. The ambiance of the place is festive Mexican and it has nice outdoor seating as it gets nicer out. Would definitely recommend this place for some of the best Mexican food in park slope!

The food was delicious and the classic Margaritas were great also. We did the Jamaica flavor and was excellent. The service was attentive, polite and friendly. The ambience was good, great music. Definitely recommend this place for drinks and food.

I had walked by Casa Azul a million times on 7th Ave, and always wanted to try it out. The cool blue building exterior, the big windows looking out onto the street, the impressive looking bar, the beautiful and colorful decorations...definitely a spot that felt a bit more like an ~experience~ rather than just a place to grab dinner. I loved the atmosphere inside the restaurant, and we received great service. The drinks were delicious and they have a huge variety of tequila, mezcal, cocktails and wines to stock. All of the food we ordered was really great! Flavorful, not too spicy (I could have used a little more kick, but the level was nice), great combinations of ingredients. And the presentation was gorgeous as well! I would love to return, but will probably save this place for occasions rather than a casual weeknight dinner.

My friend and I each order a cocktail, and are catching up. I'm from Brooklyn, however I no longer live here, and this was precious catch-up time with my friend. Then I get interrupted mid-sentence by the old-timer DJ from his low seat in a corner behind the bar. I had bumped the bar with my wrist (bumped my wrist watch as well, not deliberately) and then placed my hand down (granted- more than placed but definitely not slammed), and he decided to warn me that I COULD HAVE made his record skip. It was the Eagles or Santana (far from eclectic, but that's just me). I'm also 99% certain he turned the volume up afterwards, making it even harder to enjoy the company. After that interaction, I struggled to pick it back up with my friend, because I found that distraction very effing rude. When this "4th wall" gets broken down with service, it is hard to then enjoy the space in an uninhibited state. I am all for the Tokyo Vinyl Bar vibe, and I'm also for also giving talent an outlet to share their collection, but this interaction colored my experience, and I closed out after one drink and went elsewhere. I mentioned this to the bartender, and he was kind to offer a buy-back of a rare whiskey, which I did accept. 5 stars for the bartender, but 1 for my experience. I don't like to be harsh or unnecessarily cruel, but this is what it is. I have visited in the past and enjoyed myself. Nonetheless, I certainly won't be coming back.

I've made it a point to visit every vinyl listening bar that I learn of in town, after enjoying the shared experience of someone curating a select vinyl list in intimate spaces in Tokyo. Few have been able to replicate the experience, but Honeycomb Hi Fi Lounge comes close. That the space is narrow with just a few seats along the bar and a few tables mimics the Japanese experience best, where you can almost have it so the whole room is having one conversation together. The music is the focus. The cocktail menu is rather simple, and my Stormbringer drink, with dark rum and ginger beer was not anything to write home about, but $15 is pretty low for cocktails these days so I'll take it. If they introduced new cocktails to the menu with more interesting ingredients I'd be more inclined to return, but the vibes overall are pretty good and the staff really nice.

It's this almost speak easy vibe behind big dark doors, you enter into a quaint space with small cocktail tables for seating and bar room. The cocktails were simply outrageous. Sure the place was hitting the nail on the head for any speak easy, specialty cocktail seeking person's dream. But the fact that the bartenders were straight ripping through putting out eclectic drinks, with a smile on their face that was genuine was most impressive. Unfortunately this place fell very flat. Leading with what we liked: Their mocktail offerings were good, promising a 0.0% ABV which is hard to come across when mocktails are offered. They serve oysters, which adds to that aphrodisiac experience of the oh so 'wow this is a former brothel!'. The bartenders and servers were fast and very sociable with the more sociable customers. The immediate entrance is very tight, and it was uncomfortable navigating the space. We expected there'd be more seating in the back, which there was, but it was limited and not offered to us until we asked for it. We honestly had no clue where it would be and only asked because of how this place was advertised. While it was comfy once we made our way back there, it was reminiscent of a lounge style bar space that almost any bar could replicate with the right room and budget. We didn't feel as though this hit the spot and were let down by this experience. I'm not sure if I can judge the menu of drinks/ foods as expensive, but we left hungry bc we couldn't justify some of the prices. In addition, I've seen a lot of complaints about the volume of the music: it's definitely loud at the front but a lot lower in that back lounge space. It's as loud as any bar's music level would be, but truth be told we were expecting music that matched the vibe of what was advertised and yes, at a lower volume.
