It was the best Torta I have ever seen and tasted.. The Tortas here are Big..I got a Torta Cubana and added string Oaxaca Cheese ..it had Egg and Salchichas or as they say in English hot dog wieners or franks.. avocado..onions..Lettuce..tomato..beans..milanesa I believe ..ham and Jalapeños!!!..it was Big and definitely worth whatever I paid for it. I also got a Burrito and that Burrito was Big as well..I got a Carne Asada with black beans but they called it just Asada..in Cali we have to say Carne Asada cause if you say Asada its incomplete..anyways..delicioso!!! I highly highly recommend this place ..its not attractive from the outside but the food is GREAT!!! I am so excited that this tiny take-out only Mexican spot opened up right near the train station. This area was in dire need of new eateries. I have been here a few times since, it's been opened and usually I had a good experience. The second time the cashier seemed overwhelmed and tried charging for things I didn't order. Another time, they were training someone to make the food. I usually get the same thing because I am a creature of habit and it's delicious. I love their chicken tinga tacos ($2.75). They are filling and full of flavor and less than $3! I always get the chicken tinga nachos ($12) and I love that's its a huge serving and depending who makes the order, they are generous with the toppings and meat. When I am craving nachos, this doesn't disappoint. A few times I went, they didn't have any dessert options available but, I have tried their pastel tres leche cake ($4) and thought it was okay. This place is a hidden gem! What may seem like a simple Mexican spot is actually packing some really delicious and authentic Mexican food. The tacos are exceptional and very reasonably priced. The guacamole and chips are amazing! I don't think you can go wrong ordering anything here. Credit card and cash accepted. Staff is following all COVID precautions. Five Star Meal. I believe the first time I ordered here, I got chorizo nachos. The meat was chopped so finely and layered on top of my nachos with the right proportions. I truly think I have a love affair with Mexican food. The other day I was hungry again and figured I would show up for pick up via bike. My oh my, I dont regret this decision one bit. Birria is not on the menu but they serve it here. I didn't try it but I saw them make someone else's order and woosh. I can not wait to go back to try it. This place used to be my favorite spot for tacos, until they insanely raised their prices. not only did they raise their prices, they are now charging more money for the little sauces. the atmosphere is not that bad but with the prices of this place it makes no sense is not worth. they're charging for sit down resturant quality food while serving casual food. 2nd Update: RIDICULOUS restaurant. Do not order from here unless you want to starve. It was supposed to be delivered at 1:30 pm. My order was not even made at 2:10 pm. The same guy I spoke to said something that sounded like puta(b*) in Spanish and they won't be replacing the torta. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and wasted my time and money for all this bull. Update:Got a call at 10 pm from guy trying to deliver my missing item. Informed him it was cancelled and refund was requested. A lovely lady from the restaurant called to follow up and she was given a brief version on what happened. She said a refund can only be done if cc was used in person in the restaurant. She offered to send the right torta and missing item with my next order. Will revise and update review when order is received. I ordered through Ubereats for dinner and was missing an item and got the wrong torta. I contacted Ubereats and they couldn't help so I called the restaurant today. I was able to get a cordial gentleman and arranged to have the items delivered tonight at 8 pm. I decided to add more to the order now since I will be tipping the delivery guy already so I may as well order more. I had another person contact the restaurant on my behalf because the guy I spoke to had a difficult time hearing me. Guy that answered the call asked if I still have the torta and he was told I have half of it left because I dropped it.(I was a doofus because I took a pic of it without the top bun while lifting it up to show the incorrect content and I dropped it.) He then told his coworker, "N* she said she don't got the torta." I decided to just get a refund for my missing item due to the back and forth. The guy said "Alright then" and immediately hung up. I came here after work around 3PM. After paying extra for cheese and sour cream, when I asked for extra cheese because they barely put it I had to pay more money. The cashier also said this with an attitude. Please stop ripping us customers off! It's not fair! Even with the store completely empty they do not have the ingredients to create the advertised food. I ordered the steak nachos and observed the employee adding toppings to my nachos without melting the cheese, I inquired about why the cheese wasn't melted (as I paid extra for Oaxaca cheese) and he stated they didn't have the proper appliance to melt it. I then observed him adding huge slices of avocado on top although the menu says guacamole--I asked why wasn't he putting guacamole and he stated that they ran out and it would be a 10 minute wait. If I wasn't observing I would not have know my order would be completely wrong--communicating with the customer is important as I would have ordered something else. Terrible service. read more

The food is made really well as it's all made to order, and the horchata and tamarind drinks are sweet enough but not so over the top that you get sick of it; the large sizes of those drinks are great value. The tortas nortena and cubana are really filling and can keep you going for the rest of the day, with the nortena being the lighter of the two IMO. I'd suggest them as a lunch option - at least you'd be able to digest it and burn off some of the calories during the rest of the day as opposed to nighttime, when there's high risk of getting the itis and just plop down on the couch and belch for the rest of the night. read more

If I could leave this place zero stars I would, and I almost never post a negative review. I'd rather try to wiork it out with the business. This place made it impossible.My husband and I ordered from here earlier this week due to my sister-in-law 's recommendation. When we went to pick up our food the place wasn't exactly immaculate but it was well into dinnertime/rush hour (it's right by the train station) so I didn't think to much of it. My husband and ny daughter only had items with cheese - they were okay. Honestly, while they said they liked the food better from Paraiso across the street it was oretty good. My son and I ordered chicken dishes and there had to be something wrong with it. We were both up all evening sick from the food. The funny thing is WE didn't make the connection since there's a stomach virus going around. It wasn't until the next day that my husband went to eat my leftovers and spit the food out of his mouth. He said it tasted off. This WAS the next day, but truly fresh food wouldn't have spoiled in less than 24 hours, especially refrigerated. When I told my sister-in-law what happened she told me that her coworker ordered the same day, had the chicken, and also got sick. When he called the restaurant the person who answered the phone, who spoke English just fine all the other times they called in orders, suddenly did not. They asked me to call, and when they pretended not to know English I started speaking to them in Spanish (I'm bilingual and translate at my job) the phone line went dead.
