I am so excited that this tiny take-out only Mexican spot opened up right near the train station. This area was in dire need of new eateries. I have been here a few times since, it's been opened and usually I had a good experience. The second time the cashier seemed overwhelmed and tried charging for things I didn't order. Another time, they were training someone to make the food. I usually get the same thing because I am a creature of habit and it's delicious. I love their chicken tinga tacos ($2.75). They are filling and full of flavor and less than $3! I always get the chicken tinga nachos ($12) and I love that's its a huge serving and depending who makes the order, they are generous with the toppings and meat. When I am craving nachos, this doesn't disappoint. A few times I went, they didn't have any dessert options available but, I have tried their pastel tres leche cake ($4) and thought it was okay. It wasn't my favorite but, I might get it again if I was craving something sweet.

This place is a hidden gem! What may seem like a simple Mexican spot is actually packing some really delicious and authentic Mexican food. The tacos are exceptional and very reasonably priced. The guacamole and chips are amazing! I don't think you can go wrong ordering anything here. Credit card and cash accepted. Staff is following all COVID precautions. There is no indoor seating but definitely great to grab a bite and go on the train or bus!

Five Star Meal. I believe the first time I ordered here, I got chorizo nachos. The meat was chopped so finely and layered on top of my nachos with the right proportions. I truly think I have a love affair with Mexican food. The other day I was hungry again and figured I would show up for pick up via bike. My oh my, I dont regret this decision one bit. Birria is not on the menu but they serve it here. I didn't try it but I saw them make someone else's order and woosh. I can not wait to go back to try it. The tacos I got during my most recent visit include: Chicken Tinga Barbacoa Squash Blossom version of beef. Everything was amazing. The barbacoa is seasoned so well ... The horchata yum yum. IF you like tacos authentic ... come here.

Absolutely disgusting! Ordered lengua tacos. Didn't have it. Asked for fish instead and it was horrible. Asked for sauce on the side. They put it on top. The Bach I chips tasted like cardboard and the guacamole was BROWN! And this isn't the first time. The Department of Health should put this place out of business. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!!

Receipt to prove I'm not lying.

Wish I can give 0 stars. Long time delivery customer who decided to try Too Good To Go. Steer clear of this place if you use Too Good To Go. Ordered online using the app. Paid for it. Went to pick it up. Was told there was no food available despite TRAYS OF FOOD STILL OUT. When I questioned him he laughed at me and said no more food. Nasty attitude. Will not be going back after being treated like an idiot.

Got torta nortena instead of cubana.

If you love Birria tacos, you're at the right place. It's a little spicy but great tasting, never disappointed.

We didn't even care that we waited a little longer than expected - we are extremely understanding of restaurants being shortstaffed because of covid!!!

I went on a Friday evening around 9:30pm. It was still fairly busy inside, but it was mostly people grabbing to-go orders. After ordering I snagged a spot at the counter. There's extremely limited seating, so I wouldn't bank on eating at the restaurant when it's busy. Be prepared to take your food to go. I got the Nene's Deluxe, which comes with a taco, a mulita, and an empanada - all with Birria of course. It was all delicious. The mulita was at the bottom of the box and got completely soaked with Birria. It was extremely messy to eat. Get plenty of napkins. I also got a side of fries and nacho cheese, because it was a long week and I deserved it. They had a seasonal strawberry horchata as well. This was okay. I also think I might just not love horchata in general. This meal definitely hit the spot. The Birria and consommé were top notch. I would return in a heartbeat.

I tried something different than my usual and went with the Adobada Tacos (Pork Al Pastor). The meat itself was spicy and a little rough, which leads me to believe it was maybe old meat. Instead of cubed, the pineapple was shredded which offered a nice touch. Unfortunately the actual taco got soggy by the time I ate it so I just picked out the meats and pineapple. There is plenty of avocado green sauce placed on top, which moving forward, I will request to be on the side to prevent the taco from getting soggy. Overall I probably should just stick to what I know/like so I'm willing to give this location another shot!

Our reservation was for 8:30pm, but we arrived early and Alejandra, the hostess, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Even though she was ready to seat us, we decided to hang at the bar until the rest of our party arrived and that was the perfect move. Alkarys behind the bar was top-tier. She recommended the Siempre Reposado, and let me tell you... smooth, clean, dangerously good. If you're into tequila, that's a must. Now let's talk about the food. We ordered the quesadilla, rajas, tamales, tacos, and the queso fundido and every single dish hit. The queso fundido came out bubbling, rich, perfectly melted with that pull you want when you scoop it up. The tamales were moist and packed with flavor, wrapped beautifully and clearly made with care. The rajas had that perfect balance of roasted pepper sweetness and savory depth. The tacos? Authentic, well-seasoned, and layered with flavor, no shortcuts. Even the quesadilla stood out, crispy on the outside with that perfectly melted interior. Everything felt traditional, elevated but still true to its roots. You can taste the authenticity. Service was attentive without being overbearing, the ambiance was super casual and laid back, the kind of Brooklyn spot you pull up to for a real dinner experience, not just a quick bite. Highly recommend this place if you're out and about in Brooklyn. Definitely coming back for the tequila, the queso fundido, and round two of those tacos. I'm gonna try eating at the bar to check out the spot in the front of the house.
