My favorite taco spot love it!!! Fresh, and delicious. Great flavor nice lady in front. highly recommend!

Still the best *seared* fish tacos in Brooklyn! There are a few places similar to Fatty Daddy that do nearly an identical taco, but none of them are as good. Fatty Daddy really packs the fish in and never skimps... some other taquerias are much lighter on the fish. Fatty Daddy also makes the most amazing chipotle mayo, and again - doesn't skimp! I order the fish tacos here usually twice a week for their lunch special, and it never disappoints. If you're a fish taco fan, you need to give Fatty Daddy's seared fish taco a shot!

Lunch Time Finds! If the weather is nice I want to be outside!! After a nearby appointment, I hit up my trusty Yelp App to see if there were any Lunch Specials in the Carroll Garden Area on a Saturday. Lucky enough Fatty Daddy Taco has a lunch special daily. I got the 3 tacos and a soda for 10 bucks which isn't bad at all. I got the Carnitas, Al Pastor, and Chicken. There wasn't anyone in the shop so I sat down to people watch and enjoy. The Food itself was okay. Standard. It has flavor but i needed to add my own spice and the tortilla wasn't my favorite. It took about 10-15 to get. If in the neighborhood I would probably try again.

I tried the fish taco and the chorizo taco. I liked the chorizo taco better but both were good and packed with plenty of meat. The tortilla got a bit hard and dry on the second taco by the time I ate it. Im not sure of the prices b.c my friend picked up the order through grub hub. I know it was ready right away. I liked the lime and radish that came with it

Great lunch today! Ordered from Fatty Daddy Taco for the firat time and I am a happy girl! Delivery was super quick and food is great. Ordered the Chicken quesadilla lunch special, nice portion and it is generous with cheese and nicely seasoned chicken. The salsa for the chips tastes fresh, chips are great too, not salty so they compliment the salsa and the creamy guacamole very well. Will definately order again!

I spend a fair amount of time at bars on Smith Street. Mostly because (1) I live right off Smith Street, and (2) I like to drink alcohol. Fatty Daddy is conveniently located directly between the bars I spend my time and my home where I unfortunately do not have hot and tasty burritos waiting for me. Now I can't prove that Fatty Daddy scouted me out before opening their second location right here, but if my suspicions are correct, it was a brilliant business plan...because when I am stumbling home from a bar at an embarrassingly early hour, chances are I will need to shovel something into my fat face. Fatty Daddy provides the fatty, cheesy, unhealthily loaded and greasy gutbomb I need in either burrito or quesadilla form, and they are extremely efficient. When they are on their game, not only can you be walking out their door with your burrito in under 10 minutes (that's if you didn't have the drunken foresight to order ahead of time as you leave the bar), but they will put your sour cream and guac inside the quesadilla itself, which is really just a more efficient way to get all this fat into daddy's mouth. Plus, if you (just a for-instance here) want to hide the fact that you stuffed an entire burrito into your face from your wife, you can probably eat it on the walk home...but not if you have to apply guacamole and sour cream to your food as you go. ____________ Unrelated thought: I would like to propose we give beans a new nickname. The"musical fruit" moniker is outdated; let's call them the "thing that makes it smell like things have died inside me."

I came for an early dinner and the food tastes pretty good, but price is high in my opinion. I think the lunch specials seem like good value, but I probably wouldn't come at any other time. Tacos have a bit more veggie and less meat compared to other places. Burrito is definitely filling and I'd probably try a bowl next time. Rice and beans w/ cheese are what you expect and tasted good. Service and people were nice and friendly.

I got the Al Pastor burrito and it was amazing! Comes with a soda/bottle of water as well (not listed on menu so it was a nice surprise!) My friends got a steak quesadilla and chicken burrito and both loved their food. Well priced, (a chipotle burrito would have cost the same if not more since I would have had to get the drink separately). Good selection, has vegetarian options (salads). Great for casual dining. Will come back again!

Fat Daddy can make me a taco anytime! Came here for the lunch special (they have several but I chose two tacos and a drink) and split some chips and salsa. Everything was more or less Baja style, no mole or tomatillo with more fresh herbs and ingredients and less sauce, which is my fav! Good Mexican in the NYC area, or possibly even tri-state, is hard to come by-I'm glad I can walk to this location!

I've had better food at multiple Mexican spots in the neighborhood. I've tried it twice, a burrito and tacos, and I won't be going back.

My favorite was easily the pastor as it was so well balanced. The tacos are self dressed, so you can decide what toppings to put on it. Something to note: the tacos are definitely on the smaller side compared to other places like Los tacos no. 1, so get an extra to account for that.

Taqueria Ramirez is a popular, authentic Mexico City-style taqueria in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, known…read morefor its tacos like al pastor, suadero, and tripa, often finished with a blowtorch for a crispy texture. Owned by Giovanni Cervantes and Tania Apolinar, the spot stands out for its real flavors, busy small vibe, and unique options like nopales and a rich dipping sauce. The owners opened it in 2021 to fill a gap in NYC's taco scene. I was in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, to pick up an order from the popular fish spot Piscator. I wanted to check out the food scene there and did some research, which led me to Taqueria Ramirez because it's so popular. When we got there, there was a line, but it moved pretty fast. The place has an open kitchen where you can see all the food being made. They offer toppings, but you add them yourself from a table of condiments. I got two Pastor Tacos, a Suadero, Longaniza, and the famous Tripa taco, which is pig intestines. The Pastor tacos had big chunks of meat that were super tasty and flavorful. The Suadero tasted similar to the Pastor, but it was still packed with flavor. I wasn't really a fan of the Longaniza; the flavors didn't do much for me. If you like bold tastes, you might like it. I also didn't love the Tripa -- the texture was off, and it was too soft. They blowtorch the Tripa to make it crispy, but I didn't really get the crunch I expected. Overall, this place makes some really good tacos, and I'd definitely go back to try their Gringa Al Pastor Tacos, which are only available on Tuesdays.
