A tiny place with a laidback feel where the only thing missing is a bar. Taking full advantage of their lunch menu, I got a grilled chicken, stew chicken, and grilled fish taco. I didn't prefer one over the other because they were all greatly seasoned, not dry, and very well proportioned. I guess they don't get a lot of business because the cashier watched Twitch in addition to taking my order but aside from that, I didn't mind paying $12 for three tacos that came with a drink. read more

I am VERY happy to say that you are back to being as awesome as you always were The last few orders were on Point! Thank you for taking your customers opinions seriously. I really do hope you stay around for a VERY long time to come. We have people that come to our house and say... "Hey, can we order from Fatty Daddy!?" One of them says she starts craving your Fish Tacos as soon as she knows she's coming to visit me, lol! Thank you again guys... xoxox read more

Fatty Daddy NY: BK: Cobble Hill 2pm Sunday 23rd April 2016 Three and Half Stars I have been to the Park Slope location and it was unbelievably delicious. This new location was good but not at the same level. The place is cool looking. The wait staff was friendly. There is enough seating for a dozen people. I ordered three Tacos: Al Pastor, Carne Asada, and Chorizo. The food took a little bit but not too bad. The Al Pastor was tasty, but the meat lacked in a deep nuanced flavor. The Carne Asada was again cooked well but again didn't strike my tongue with anything special. The chorizo was crumbly, quasi cold, and not very appetizing. Its weird that all three of my tacos had the same lettuce and bland green salsa. I think I will just go back to the other location. read more

Really want to like this place as it's in my neighborhood and seems like others like it a lot, but very disappointed with a simple Al Pastor burrito order. After picking up and a 5 minute walk home, the burrito had leaked quite a bit of water (maybe from the pico de gallo?) and the bottom half was very soggy to the touch. Inside, it was about 75% lettuce, tomato, and white rice, with minimal beans, meat, or cheese to speak of. I couldn't find any onion, cilantro, or jalapeno, so the 'pico de gallo' may have just been chopped tomato by itself? The al pastor, for what it's worth, was solid, but there were several bay leaves & bay leaf stems mixed in with the meat as well (love the flavor bay leaves add, but they're not meant to be eaten!). In spite of all of this, I'd probably go back at a ~$10 price-point, but for over $15, I was definitely expecting a little more. read more

The customer service is great and the staff is very polite but the tacos are just not for me. It is truly a personal preference they didn't taste bad it was just not how I like it being made. I tried the steak, chicken and shrimp. They were all seasons well. The sauces that came with them paired well. read more

One of my favorite Mexican places in Brooklyn. They're food is always fresh and delicious, the customer service is great and the atmosphere is relaxing. They also have water available to pour, no need to purchase water, unless you don't drink anything other than bottled water. read more

I was referred to Fatty Daddy Taco by my hubby years ago. My first time trying their food was around 5 years ago in 2015 and I have been back to visit ever since. My favorite dishes are the Babe's rice and beans which are black beans over jasmine rice with melted Monterey Jack and cheedar cheeses. The spicy guacamole and crispy corn tortilla chips and my absolute favorite the spicy chicken bowl which comes with thick chunks of spicy shredded chicken, choice of beans, mexican rice, pico de gallo, melted cheeses and spicy guacamole. When I tell you that this place is too good to be a hidden gem I mean it. They do however have two locations in Park Slope; one on 5th Avenue and the other on 9th Avenue. If you are nearby any of the two locations check them out when in the mood for some good tex mexican food. read more

Stumbled upon Fatty Daddy Tacos and their lunch specials are great. I ordered the grilled steak bowl and guac and chips. My friends had several tacos and quesadilla. First off, the portion size for the steak bowl was enormous, great bang for your buck. However, the steak was quite dry so definitely order chicken or something else. Guac and chips were almost $8 and the size of the guac was almost shameful but tasty. The tacos were good, however, the corn tortilla was very crumbly and fell apart as you ate the taco. Ask for flour tortilla next time if they offer it. The cheese quesadilla was pretty good, solid flour tortilla with melted cheese. This is a solid Mexican spot on Smith St! read more

Quesadilla was fantastic!! Was in the neighborhood looking for something new to try. And this small shop caught my eyes. Fresh chicken quesadilla was so hot that I almost dropped the 2nd half even though I spent more than 7 minutes on the first half already. The part has less stuffing was crunchy, and the opposite was so cheesy good. Some salsa on the side for refreshment between bites. Should ask for adding some jalapeño inside next time. read more

Fatty Daddy Taco - Chicken quesadilla. Enough for a 200LB male - Mexican Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I deftly underestimated Fatty Daddy Taco at first--how hard is it to make a decent taco? Then I experimented with a few of the other taco joints in the neighborhood. NOPE--Fatty Daddy tops them all. The unassuming storefront can either deter or encourage you--either way, don't bother going anywhere else to satisfy your taco craving. Fatty Daddy Taco is always delicious, moist, and best bang for your buck in these parts. I always love a good steak quesadilla and fish tacos--and Fatty Daddy has some of the best. Whether I just want a quick meal, or I'm on my way to Trader Joe's on my Sunday errands, I always have time to stop at Fatty Daddy. Definitely keep that good stuff comin'. read more

Yummy tacos with authentic style. Hard to resist the pork options. Great place to grab a quick lunch.

Ordered Grilled Fish Taco and Spicy Stewed Taco Lunch Special. The grilled fish Taco was really well made however the Stewed Chicken was not up to my flavour standard . Had a bit of odd flavouring and smell for sure will not order it again however this place is good for Grilled Fish Taco and might eat here again when in the neighborhood. The food here is okay at best but there is a lady that works here who is very rude at the Bergen st location. I've been here and my friend went here but the lady who works has been rude both times. So don't buy anything if she is working there. If she hates her job so much she should look to work elsewhere. Whoever the manager is needs to check here and make sure she's not making her customers feel like shit and wasting their money here. read more

Ordered the steak burrito and it was great. All the ingredients are fresh and high-quality. Seasonings are authentic and balanced.

I've only ever tried the Fish Tacos at Fatty Daddy and that is likely the way it will stay. A fish taco needs three simple things to pass the taco test: be grilled (never fried), solid sauce and a flavorful taco shell. I've had at least 50 of these fuckers and have enjoyed every bite. I also enjoy the music they play, which does not affect the rating but is worth noting. read more

Customer service was great and I felt very comfortable dining at this place. The name was obviously what attracted me to dine here. They have a lunch special, but honestly, I don't see a point in it since it's only a couple of cents cheaper than the actual food items, if you purchase them separately. I got two fish tacos and a water bottle for $9.75; super pricey!!! But, the flavors and taste are all there!! read more

Lunch specials will save your coins! The girl who takes the orders isn't very pleasant bring your patience because she's short with attitude. I ordered the rice and bean burrito with a soda ($11.38). The burritos are largely portioned for the price you pay. Lacks flavor just add all the sauces on the table. Very filling! read more

At long last! I've been to the Fatty Daddy in Park Slope but have been waiting forever for a great taco joint to open closer to me. Very similar idea, and they nail it. I've already had the steak tacos and the spicy stewed chicken burrito -- both top-notch -- and my kids have devoured the al pastor tacos and chicken quesadilla. And they are tough customers, let me tell you... We've taken out, and eaten there -- both times food came quickly and service was great. These are folks who love what they do and it shows. Really happy they're here. read more

WE LOVE THE FISH TACOS!! Yum. People at the counter vary from super nice to self-important hipster youth. This is a Cobble Hill/Boerum Hill taco shop ---be warm and friendly. Ask to have them with guacamole. Some of the meat tacos can be dry and need more sauce/crema. The rice/beans with cheese is a nice side dish. Nah, these aren't your typical tiny street tacos. These are flour tortillas laden with generous heaps of whatever meat you got. While the flavors weren't out of this world, it was still good. And if you're looking for a quick fix on your taco / burrito cravings, this place will do it right. We got the carne asada and pastor and the meat wasn't dry but it definitely wasn't super juicy. Our friend got the chips with guacamole, and the guacamole was on point too! The taco's size is large though, and as a result, I was fine with two tacos. Great for those of you that want the most bang for your buck! One more thing for you hot sauce heads: They had the green El Yucateco hot sauce, which was a favorite of mine at an old taco joint back in California, so props for that! read more

This is a nice little local taco spot, I made it for the lunch special with was a grilled chicken quesadilla and a drink for 10$. Its not bad, also the portion size of the quesadilla is actually pretty big, it filled me up. The restaurant itself isnt too big but for a quick bite you can eat there. Next on the list is to actually try a taco, I saw someone with it and it looks delicious! read more

Went for the first time, and I had 3 tacos. I had 2 fish tacos and 1 steak. Not sure which one did it but I had that for a late lunch and then got on a plane to only find out my stomach began to feel ill. I didn't anything due to the fact that my stomach was in pain. I landed and was trying to hold it together by just drinking water. Had a small bite finally at dinner of bread and hummus, which then followed by a night long of vomiting. I'm not sure if it was either the fish or steak but I hope that everyone there is making sure to properly store their food. Food poisoning is no fun read more

WOW! Just wow! I have never been a big fan of this cuisine of food but they have made me a believer! I usually go on wicked food binges and thanks to ubereats I came across this gem! I ordered a steak burrito which was absolutely filling, steak tasted beautiful and savory, and just enough salsa verde where it didn't take away from the other ingredients but was just enough. I also ordered a chicken quesadilla which was AMAZING! The quesadilla was thick full of meat and full of cheese and you can taste the seasoning of the chicken perfectly! Lastly I ordered three chicken tacos I'm not a fan of the tortilla chip itself but once again it was filled perfectly to capacity where not one ingredient overshadowed the other. Im hoping consistency is a strong suit because I WILL BE BACK! Easily five stars! read more

Honestly, I'm confused why this place is rated less than 4 stars! When I'm craving fish tacos (weekly basis), this is my go to spot. Two tacos come out to $9 and some change which isn't the cheapest but also not the worst considering I definitely get full off of it. The fish tacos come on two soft corn tortillas. The fish is seasoned and pan fried. On top they put on crunchy cabbage, radishes and this flipping delicious red creamy sauce that probably adds 300 calories to the meal, but I'm okay with it because it tastes so good. I always get this to go and they serve a couple of lime slices on the side and some Cholula hot sauce packets. Food is made to order and comes out fast. As a former San Diego gal, I think this is the closest I get to the San Diego fish tacos I used to eat every Tuesday. Come here and you will definitely get your taco fix!! read more

The burritos here are well worth the price but the taste is just average. I got the grilled steak burrito and the best way to describe it, like others have already stated, is like the size (and weight) of a brick. It was almost 9pm and I was starving but I wasn't able to finish the whole thing because it was such a big portion. However, I also got bored of the taste of it about halfway through. It was really bland because there was no sauce and had very little cheese in it. Had to add some of their hot sauce just to give it some flavor. Another thing: we placed our order for pickup online via seamless and got a confirmation from the site but when we arrived at the restaurant 30 mins later they said that the order wasn't ready yet?? I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say that there was a glitch with the system but 30+ mins for a 6-item order for pickup at 9pm is kind of ridiculous. read more

The burritos I ordered were underwhelming. I couldn't finish any of them. The fish burrito isn't deep fried, just grilled. The Al pastor was like shredded pork and not so much Al pastor. Mushy unflavorful burritos. Would not order here again. read more

They have the worst customer service ever!!! This place deserves no stars....I ordered a steak torta with chips and salsa during lunch and the guy at the counter took down my order and over charged me. Then made a comment "its only $2.00." Really? He eventually refunded me the money. After waiting 15 minutes, they handed me the food in a bag that was stapled. I walked back to my office and there was no chips or salsa inside the bag, just the torta. I ran back to Fatty Daddy and told them that they forgot the chips and salsa. They gave it to me and did not even apologize. Went back to the office, to enjoy my steak torta and realized they gave me chicken instead of steak. I was so pissst...smh I took my co-worker, who was her first time there and saw the experience and said that based on the customer service, she won't order food from this place anymore.. read more
