Guacamole
Tamika M.

I ordered delivery to my job downtown Brooklyn. Delivery is super fast. Tacos were still nice and hot. I ordered a grilled steak taco and a al pastor taco. I ordered a side of guacamole and chips. I like that the steak tacos come with grilled onions on it. The steak is well seasoned. The al pastor taco is my favorite. The pork is very tender and flavorful. The guacamole always tastes good. It's nice and fresh. The only thing I would suggest is for them not to put shredded lettuce in the tacos. It just takes away from the flavor of the meats. This is a great little spot if you're looking for a quick bite to eat that is serving fresh, flavorful food. I would like to try their fish tacos next. I heard they are really good.

Grilled Chicken Asada Burrito

We ordered from here for work. We ordered the grilled chicken asada burritos. Perfectly grilled chicken with black beans, rice, fresh plum tomato salsa, and melted jack cheese. We had it on a nice and soft tortilla. We had them add guacamole to it. It was an amazing burrito. The ingredients were fresh and had a hint of spice. The burrito kept to shape and didn't explode when we started to eat it. Fatty Daddy Taco kept to its name. It was delivered rather quickly. We will definitely be back.

My favorite taco spot love it!!! Fresh, and delicious. Great flavor nice lady in front. highly recommend!

Still the best *seared* fish tacos in Brooklyn! There are a few places similar to Fatty Daddy that do nearly an identical taco, but none of them are as good. Fatty Daddy really packs the fish in and never skimps... some other taquerias are much lighter on the fish. Fatty Daddy also makes the most amazing chipotle mayo, and again - doesn't skimp! I order the fish tacos here usually twice a week for their lunch special, and it never disappoints. If you're a fish taco fan, you need to give Fatty Daddy's seared fish taco a shot!

Lunch Time Finds! If the weather is nice I want to be outside!! After a nearby appointment, I hit up my trusty Yelp App to see if there were any Lunch Specials in the Carroll Garden Area on a Saturday. Lucky enough Fatty Daddy Taco has a lunch special daily. I got the 3 tacos and a soda for 10 bucks which isn't bad at all. I got the Carnitas, Al Pastor, and Chicken. There wasn't anyone in the shop so I sat down to people watch and enjoy. The Food itself was okay. Standard. It has flavor but i needed to add my own spice and the tortilla wasn't my favorite. It took about 10-15 to get. If in the neighborhood I would probably try again.

Chorizo bottom and fish top

I tried the fish taco and the chorizo taco. I liked the chorizo taco better but both were good and packed with plenty of meat. The tortilla got a bit hard and dry on the second taco by the time I ate it. Im not sure of the prices b.c my friend picked up the order through grub hub. I know it was ready right away. I liked the lime and radish that came with it

Great lunch today! Ordered from Fatty Daddy Taco for the firat time and I am a happy girl! Delivery was super quick and food is great. Ordered the Chicken quesadilla lunch special, nice portion and it is generous with cheese and nicely seasoned chicken. The salsa for the chips tastes fresh, chips are great too, not salty so they compliment the salsa and the creamy guacamole very well. Will definately order again!

Al pastor burrito

I spend a fair amount of time at bars on Smith Street. Mostly because (1) I live right off Smith Street, and (2) I like to drink alcohol. Fatty Daddy is conveniently located directly between the bars I spend my time and my home where I unfortunately do not have hot and tasty burritos waiting for me. Now I can't prove that Fatty Daddy scouted me out before opening their second location right here, but if my suspicions are correct, it was a brilliant business plan...because when I am stumbling home from a bar at an embarrassingly early hour, chances are I will need to shovel something into my fat face. Fatty Daddy provides the fatty, cheesy, unhealthily loaded and greasy gutbomb I need in either burrito or quesadilla form, and they are extremely efficient. When they are on their game, not only can you be walking out their door with your burrito in under 10 minutes (that's if you didn't have the drunken foresight to order ahead of time as you leave the bar), but they will put your sour cream and guac inside the quesadilla itself, which is really just a more efficient way to get all this fat into daddy's mouth. Plus, if you (just a for-instance here) want to hide the fact that you stuffed an entire burrito into your face from your wife, you can probably eat it on the walk home...but not if you have to apply guacamole and sour cream to your food as you go. ____________ Unrelated thought: I would like to propose we give beans a new nickname. The"musical fruit" moniker is outdated; let's call them the "thing that makes it smell like things have died inside me."

Babe's Rice and Beans with Cheese

I came for an early dinner and the food tastes pretty good, but price is high in my opinion. I think the lunch specials seem like good value, but I probably wouldn't come at any other time. Tacos have a bit more veggie and less meat compared to other places. Burrito is definitely filling and I'd probably try a bowl next time. Rice and beans w/ cheese are what you expect and tasted good. Service and people were nice and friendly.

Al Pastor Burrito
Sharon K.

I got the Al Pastor burrito and it was amazing! Comes with a soda/bottle of water as well (not listed on menu so it was a nice surprise!) My friends got a steak quesadilla and chicken burrito and both loved their food. Well priced, (a chipotle burrito would have cost the same if not more since I would have had to get the drink separately). Good selection, has vegetarian options (salads). Great for casual dining. Will come back again!

Everyone that works there is super attentive and for how busy they are they always make sure to check up on your table. Their tacos are extremely delicious, they don't hold back with make sure each taco is full of any kind of meat that you get! Full of flavor and just looking at them reminds you why they're the best. Some other notable things that you should get is the quesadillas and the nachos they have. I'll have to keep coming back to try other things. Great place for sporting events as well as I was here with a group to watch Brazil vs Morocco and stayed to watch the Knicks win right after and become champions!

This neighborhood gem offers an industrialized minimalist form of decor with pops of color and art. Cozy but roomy, the bar area had mostly 2 seater tables and a few with high chairs. We recently went for a birthday brunch. Restaurant Week was still in effect but we decided to choose from the regular brunch menu. Place was low key and giving neighborhood vibes. The service was 10 STARS! Our waitress was extremely attentive and kind. We were also checked on by a second staff member who I think may have been a manager but cannot be certain. We started with cocktails and they serve chips and salsa gratis. I had the Jalapeno and Hibiscus Margarita and my friend ordered the Pepper Margarita with Strawberry and Chipotle. Mine was a bit on the sweet side without a hint of tequila. My friend's drink definitely was the better of the two. Not overly sweet and definitely a flavor of tequila was present. We also ordered a guacamole. I must say it was quite small and barely served 2 people. I suggest if more than 2 guests are part of the experience, order more than one. For my entree, I requested a market salad and 2 veggie tacos with a side of birria consume. Salad was very fresh and I am sure was made to order as opposed to premade a week prior and waiting in a fridge to be served. My tacos were average but satisfying. The consume was a bit disappointing as it was more of a water/broth based and not of a typical gravy consistency. It was not exciting. My friend's entree was the highlight of the experience. She had the brisket quesadilla. Never have I seen a quesadilla with a crispy outside such as this. A culinary masterpiece indeed. She consumed it all and not one complaint afterward. Delish. We did receive a complimentary Churro plate for the birthday celebration. They were drizzled with caramel and berries. Served warm, they were a dream for the palate. I did use the bathroom which was a single stall. It was clean enough but not well lit. The biggest downfall of my experience was the temperature of the restaurant. I understand it is summer, however, there was no A/C and the inside was extremely hot. I sweated through my entire experience. Even the bathroom felt like 100 degrees. We did not complain but our waitress noticed and brough a fan out to circulate the air. They do have ceiling fans but honestly I did not feel them. The management/owner should consider more temperature control methods during the hotter months as it was quite uncomfortable. To sum it up, I thought this experience was mostly positive and would patronize it again.

We started off with a round of drinks. A Mexican Coke, two types of mezcal margaritas that were amazing! The one with the blackberry syrup and thyme was INCREDIBLE! Our table also had a mocktail and it was delish! We started off with some guac and fresh chips. VERY SMALL SERVING. I would skip this dish based on the serving size alone. It wasn't worth it. And it wasn't that great to be so small. We also had a bowl of black bean soup. It was great! My daughter and I shared a plate of salsa verde enchiladas. Chicken. We loved them! The salsa-SO GOOD! The only thing that was spicy was the habanero salsa. But it was overly good! I couldn't help myself! We also each had a taco. And had a shrimp taco that was topped with a cool, crunchy coleslaw. She had a Birria taco. Both were perfect! My husband order a steak torta. He's a man of few words. But he seemed to be happy. My son in law had the molcajete and raved about it. It certainly looked beautiful! Look forward to coming back! Service was amazing! Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, had great recommendations, and was absolutely the sweetest!

Most of all, what I really appreciated with every bite is that I wanted more and that it was so unique compared to anything else that I had ever tried. I thought the tasting menu was a really good deal, but you should also consider booking just a la carte because everything was so solid. You can tell when the chips served alongside the guacamole are so delicious and so unique that the rest of the meal is going to be incredible. I will say that it did seem slightly understaffed.
