    Beef Nachos

The food tasted very authentic. I felt like I was in Mexico. The service was quick and the lady was so kind and friendly! The restaurant is cute and small, but very settling! Highly recommend.

I was craving nachos all day so i ordered from here for the first time for pick up. The place is small but it has a good amount of seating. I was kind of expecting more from how good these nachos look but they we're still pretty good. I think it was lacking because there was barely any cheese.

It's easy to be average Mexican food but it is very hard to be superb and authentic. Papi's Grill has a phenomal food and a reasonable price. It captures the classic authenticity you want from your local Mexican restaurant but can cater to any taste bud. The portions are above average. Highly recommend the chicken hurache which has a tangy flavoring that softly folds into the tortilla. Also perhaps a bit american but try the ground beef taco---beats any fast food taco for the same price. Plus this place "fits" in a neighborhood that is quickly moving towards luxury eateries and condos. In the day of $10 designer tacos, Papi, is worth the price and the food is worth more. food was great and fresh, came out in 5-10 minutes. the chips were crunchy and the green salsa was amazing. the lady at the counter was extremely kind even with my poor pronunciation of the food. the store in general however was hot and a bit uncomfortable , with limited seating but it wasn't terrible.

Al pastor torta almost no meat.

Just ordered for take out. The Al Pastor Torta tasted good but had close to no meat on it. For $9.00 a total rip off. I try to support and boost up local businesses but overall very disappointing...

Grilled steak platter, I think I love you...

My new local favorite. The quality of their carnitas is the best in the neighborhood, and I love the fresh horchata.

Everyone that works there is super attentive and for how busy they are they always make sure to check up on your table. Their tacos are extremely delicious, they don't hold back with make sure each taco is full of any kind of meat that you get! Full of flavor and just looking at them reminds you why they're the best. Some other notable things that you should get is the quesadillas and the nachos they have. I'll have to keep coming back to try other things. Great place for sporting events as well as I was here with a group to watch Brazil vs Morocco and stayed to watch the Knicks win right after and become champions!

This neighborhood gem offers an industrialized minimalist form of decor with pops of color and art. Cozy but roomy, the bar area had mostly 2 seater tables and a few with high chairs. We recently went for a birthday brunch. Restaurant Week was still in effect but we decided to choose from the regular brunch menu. Place was low key and giving neighborhood vibes. The service was 10 STARS! Our waitress was extremely attentive and kind. We were also checked on by a second staff member who I think may have been a manager but cannot be certain. We started with cocktails and they serve chips and salsa gratis. I had the Jalapeno and Hibiscus Margarita and my friend ordered the Pepper Margarita with Strawberry and Chipotle. Mine was a bit on the sweet side without a hint of tequila. My friend's drink definitely was the better of the two. Not overly sweet and definitely a flavor of tequila was present. We also ordered a guacamole. I must say it was quite small and barely served 2 people. I suggest if more than 2 guests are part of the experience, order more than one. For my entree, I requested a market salad and 2 veggie tacos with a side of birria consume. Salad was very fresh and I am sure was made to order as opposed to premade a week prior and waiting in a fridge to be served. My tacos were average but satisfying. The consume was a bit disappointing as it was more of a water/broth based and not of a typical gravy consistency. It was not exciting. My friend's entree was the highlight of the experience. She had the brisket quesadilla. Never have I seen a quesadilla with a crispy outside such as this. A culinary masterpiece indeed. She consumed it all and not one complaint afterward. Delish. We did receive a complimentary Churro plate for the birthday celebration. They were drizzled with caramel and berries. Served warm, they were a dream for the palate. I did use the bathroom which was a single stall. It was clean enough but not well lit. The biggest downfall of my experience was the temperature of the restaurant. I understand it is summer, however, there was no A/C and the inside was extremely hot. I sweated through my entire experience. Even the bathroom felt like 100 degrees. We did not complain but our waitress noticed and brough a fan out to circulate the air. They do have ceiling fans but honestly I did not feel them. The management/owner should consider more temperature control methods during the hotter months as it was quite uncomfortable. To sum it up, I thought this experience was mostly positive and would patronize it again.

Most of all, what I really appreciated with every bite is that I wanted more and that it was so unique compared to anything else that I had ever tried. I thought the tasting menu was a really good deal, but you should also consider booking just a la carte because everything was so solid. You can tell when the chips served alongside the guacamole are so delicious and so unique that the rest of the meal is going to be incredible. I will say that it did seem slightly understaffed. Our waiters did the best they could, but dinner took longer than expected. It was still a great experience for both those on dates and those there with friends!

I loved all the sauces that they give to each table that I couldn't decide which one I liked more. The drinks were very good as well. We got the deconstructed margarita and I really enjoyed it as well as the pina colada cocktail. Service was a bit on the slower side but to be fair, there weren't many people working the tables. Also one of our dishes got served to the wrong table and then never came :( definitely wanna come back to try the tuna tartare which was the dish that didn't get delivered.
