It's alright, nothing too special. If you're craving a burger, it's a convenient spot to go to as it's open till late and has plenty of seating. Also, the service is quite efficient. Burgers are delicious with bold flavors great house sauce fresh crispy lettuce/tomato. I recommend this burger spot for everyone to try out indoor/outdoor seating. The Brooklyn location has a fountain drink machine so you refill as much as you want which is perfect for the kids. The curly fries are crispy seasoned come with smoky chipotle mayo. First time ordering the cookies and cream shake I felt like it was too much milk I like my milk shakes kinda thick. Craving shakes and burgers, Harlem Shake is the place to be. First come, first serve seating. We almost sat by the window, the seating was like an old school lunch counter but after approx ten minutes, we scored a table. Food is ordered and paid for the counter, then bought to table. We ordered the Jerk Chicken sandwich and an Impossible burger. We unable to share an order of fries because everything cooked in beef tallow so we order a small arugula salad with avocado. The chicken sandwich was crispy and flavorful, the pink slaw was crunchy and vibrant. The Impossible burgers also hit but adding the arugula and avocado to the sandwich made all the flavors pop. Recently visited here before a Nets Game. I do try to switch up my order but I know what I love here. The Hot Mess is so good. It's a classic burger topped with pickled cherry pepper & bacon relish. I'm obsessed with the bacon relish. I wish they sold it separately too. I also ordered the Jerk fries and added the jerk aioli which I'm also obsessed with. I did try my friends jerk chicken sandwich. I didn't love it as much as the burger. But overall the hot mess is highly recommended. If jerk is too spicy for you, try the truffle fries. I tried Harlem Shake and I must say it's a great late night delivery option and they also have a few different drink choices. The burgers were definitely tasty and the Frozé was refreshing. A great mix between young families and adults stopping in after work. It was my first time trying their smashed burgers, and I'm hooked the option to choose different seasonings really lets the flavors shine. I love a burger joint that offers gluten-free buns. Their smash burgers are really well-made and don't feel too heavy. I only wish their fries were also gluten-free, but unfortunately it's in a shared fryer. The milkshakes are also very tasty. Given the portion sizes and the freshness of the food, it is reasonably priced. The customer service is also really great. They are always ready to tell you about the specials, allow you to use the bathroom, deliver you the food quickly. I ordered the yam fries and a lettuce-wrapped burger based on the cashier's suggestion, and he was genuinely great. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. He deserves a raise or a promotion, honestly. The food itself was fine. I finished the sauce that came with the yam fries and asked for more to finish the rest of my fries. I was told only one sauce comes per order. No problem. I said I would pay for extra. The cashier said he would check with his manager. Manager said no. So let me get this straight. A customer is literally asking to give you more money and the answer is no? I went up to speak with the manager directly. He was on his phone, ignoring me. I had to ask the cashier to get his attention. When he finally acknowledged me, he repeated that it is one sauce per order and there is nothing he can do. I explained, from a business perspective, that it makes zero sense to refuse to sell a customer something they are willing to pay for. His response? He would "talk to upper management about it." Sure. Then I asked for a refund on the fries. He told me to bring them back. I did. Then he said, "Well, you ate most of it, so..." and tried to flip the whole situation. I never complained about the fries. I wanted more sauce. That is it. Do not twist the conversation. The cashier was the only person who handled this with any professionalism. He acknowledged the issue, apologized, and actually tried to help. That man should be running the store. The manager, on the other hand, argued with a paying customer over a cup of sauce and lost a customer for good. Won't be back. read more

We stumbled upon it yesterday and were intrigued (I grew up in Harlem but well before they opened their first one there). You order at the counter (Steph took our order, and he's a pleasure to talk with) and then take a seat while they prepare your meal. The Boys To The Yard lunch special (just $16!) gets you a double cheeseburger (the patties are from Pat LaFrieda!) or buttermilk chicken sandwich with fries and a milkshake (a nod to song "my milkshake brings all the..." ). Oh, wow! The burger was smashed, crispy on the edges and so juicy with pickles and onions on a Martin's potato roll - pure heaven! The chicken sandwich, also on a potato roll, with coleslaw and hot honey was equally good. The fries were a perfect complement, and the shakes were so thick and creamy - awesome! This is elevated fast food, reasonably priced, made from great ingredients that taste fantastic! I ordered this place for takeout because I heard they had good burgers and I'm glad I did. I had the Harlem Classic with beef burger and it was delicious and tasted homemade. Those beef patties were made with love and well seasoned. The bun was nice, soft, and buttery. I added onions and that was a nice touch. The curly fries were fresh and crunchy but the chipotle mayo was a little too spicy for me. Nonetheless, this still was a good side item. Lastly I had the salted caramel shake and added Oreos. There are so-so milk shakes and then there are the luscious milkshakes. He had the cookies and cream shake which was, rich, flavorful, frothy, a frozen perfection. My partner had a classic hot dog and we shared the fries. The fries were nice and crispy with, the skin on. I had the "Snoop Dog." An all beef hot dog topped with chili and cheese. I was all set to do the Hippy Harlem Shake and as u I started my rotation, the order arrived. Boy, my hips did an about face. Let's start at the top ( see my pics of what's delivered vs. what was shown on restaurant's website). The cheese wasn't melted, a few onions and pickles in a soggy "brioche" bun. Sorry but a complete rip off. The only plus was the burger taste was good. My friend ordered the Classic Harlem Burger, another listless flat burger with same condiments as Impossible. The curly fries were stuck together and the "spicy " chipotle mayo was bland. Here's the worst part, we both paid extra for BBQ sauce and what was served was I have no idea what taste it was but not BBQ. I also ordered the 12 oz Black and White shake.. that tasted like pure chocolate. Please take lessons from Shake Shack on how to make a proper Black and White.. I'll leave it there. Looks very retro and vintage and it's in the corner of Fifth Avenue of Park Slope. They have a location in Harlem and Park Slope. The Park Slope location has outdoor seating with a tent for shade and also a dog bowl for water in front of the restaurant. I ordered the Harlem Classic burger (beef patties with American cheese, onions, pickles, and special sauce) and Jerk Fries with Jerk Mayo for dine in. The burger came out looking very nice especially the bun is not wrinkly or messy. The beef is a thick cut and very juicy. Jerk fries on the other hand were kind of plain or bland. I couldn't taste the jerk seasoning and it lacked the spice. I should have opted for regular fries instead. Ambience is very casual and fun. Good for families and couples. Utensils and condiments are available on the counter so you don't need to ask the staff for ketchup or mustard or napkins. The bacon relish and pepper jam work so beautifully together with the heaping helping of melty American cheese, it's gotta be in the top three burgers I've ever had in my life. I ordered the Hot mess but fearing it'll be too hot I opted out of the relish because I'm such a weak girl with heat but after trying those delicious smash burgers I really wish I would've gotten it just to try it. I also ordered a chicken sandwich and it was well seasoned and fried. I can tell it was brined nicely in some buttermilk. Ordered the Hot Mess cheeseburger and my friend ordered the same without cheese. The kitchen mixed up our orders. I realized after a couple bites that mine was missing the cheese. When we brought it to the counter, they offered to remake my friend's order correctly, but refused to simply swap his untouched burger to me, even though that was the one made correctly for my order.
