Pricey but good. Annoying that their pickup pricing system is several dollars more per item than what you pay if you order in person, so it just extends the wait time when you get there. Also annoying that they don't offer shake-substitution options for their combo meal. Lunch for 2 with 2 basic burgers, 2 fries and a shake was $50. More than I would likely spend on the regular. Ordered Brooklyn Burger from here several times and they were all great l recently got their Classic cheeseburger to go and it was barely edible. It took 15 minutes for a single burger (no frills, no fries) to come out. I assumed the holdup was because they had other orders cooking. Nope. The place was empty, no one came in before or after me to pick up orders. I watched the "cook" standing with his back to the grill, leaning on a table, on his phone, oblivious. Another employee noticed I had been waiting a long time too and reminded him about the burger dying on the grill. When I got home with my order, I had hopes it wouldn't be a disaster but it was worse than expected. The meat was so over cooked and dry it was actually gray and crumbly. The bun was stale and hard, which I've never experienced before, ever. The dressings on the burger was just sad - paper thin slice of tomato, small lettuce leaf barely big enough to cover the patty. I went back to XO because I was craving burgers again and I had the worst dining experience. They screwed up my order, I paid for a hamburger with bacon combo meal and after 25-minutes waiting, they tell me they ran out of bacon. After I said to give me a regular burger, it took them another 15-minutes to grill a burger. Now I'm asking myself what is the Cook doing for a total of 40-minutes? The store wasnt crowded at all, or this Cook cant grill more than one patty at a time. Very frustrating lunch experience. I asked for a refund because I was charged for the bacon. They didnt offer a refund but they offered extra fries or an extra drink. And when I was leaving, I look back towards the kitchen grill and I saw all the workers on their cellphones. This shift of workers didnt care about customer service. Anyways I cant say I wont be back to XO but there are too many outstanding burger shops in New York City. The service and the atmosphere are great, and this place has the potential to be good. It's also 100% halal. Had the nuggets that lacked the crunchy to it. Couple things they should change about the hot dog. Take all that stuff off the top and reduce the size of the bread. The meat in the hot dog should be the star, not the other stuff. I've never had cheese fries like this lol. Good amount of slaw but not enough flavor. I love that parkslope opened up a burger spot right on 5th Avenue and 9th Street. Came in on a Thursday evening. The place is clean, nice and bright inside. Staff was very welcoming. We ordered the chicken nuggets, meat lover burger, and the XO classic burger. For drinks, we ordered cokes and regular lemonade. Once our burgers were served, our waiter asked us if we would like gloves, which I was confused at first he explained that the burger is juicy and to avoid a mess, he will give us gloves. Boy, was he right. The burger was super juicy. Cajun fries were well seasoned a little bit on the spicy side. So, for those who can't handle heat, just tell them to go light with the seasoning. Burger was super juicy. I would have liked a little more seasoning on the burgers but overall great burger. Chicken nuggets were ok, nothing to brag about. We did not like the lemonade it tasted more like a seltzer. The waiter saw we did not drink our lemonade and offered us something else. We got an oreo milkshake, which was pretty good. My family stopped into XO Burgers on 5th Ave between 8/9th today for a quick lunch. We had no expectations/prior knowledge and were assuming bare minimum fast food but it was *excellent*. Really fresh ingredients - crunchy lettuce, ripe tomato, flavorful patties/grilled chicken. Nothing was overly greasy or salty. They make the buns and fries from scratch and it shows. Also the prices are around the same as Five Guys, and they have a kids menu. We were so impressed. We're in North Slope so this is a bit of a trek, but is definitely our new regular burger spot. read more

Finally decided to check out this cute burger place in the neighborhood. It's spacious and super clean. I tried a few things on the menu and absolutely in love with the Texas rib burger! It literally MELTED in my mouth! Cajun fries were nicely seasoned and crunchy. The milkshakes are a must try! I had the pistachio vanilla.. the bits of pistachio is bomb. Both were completely overcooked and tasteless, yet somehow juicy enough that the bun disintegrated halfway through eating them. The Brooklyn burger was topped with something that was supposed to be bacon (I assume it was not since the place is halal) that was soggy and unpleasant. Found our Park Slope burger joint! Got 2 double beef patties at the price point that one costs at most establishments around here. Cajun fries are just the right balance of spicy. Great addition to the neighborhood! My son and I are big burger lovers and have been saying we wish we had a higher end "counter" burger option in the area. We don't always want to sit down for a waiter service burger and certainly don't want to eat McDonalds very often. This was just the place we've been waiting for. The classic cheeseburger was huge and had great condiments, perfectly melted american cheese, lettuce, tomato, crunchy pickles and a special sauce. The fries were the perfect thickness with the skins still on. As we sat and ate our meal, we heard other customers who were clearly repeat customers despite XO being open for only a few weeks. They said the steaks were great and the chicken sandwich was excellent. We will certainly be back to try some other items -- if we can bring ourselves to order something other than that excellent classic cheeseburger! read more
