    The Smashburger. Outstanding!
    Kirby W.

Was my second choice because George's was closed. Said "Why not?" and was glad I did. Had the Smashburger and it was just awesome. Juicy, tender with a great flavor. Very good!

I loved the packaging of the food and attention to detail. I ordered the single smashed burger which was tasty and the regular fries. I got 2 different sauces which were good. The fries were bland so the sauce helped. This was an uber eats order and I would try again.

Burger Bhai is a great spot to grab a burger with a different flair, but it is still very tasty. Opening in the small take-out only spot once occupied by another way more expensive burger joint, Burger Bhai hit a good spot with affordable burgers and God taste. While it has recently opened and a few kinks are still being worked on (no way to order via phone or in advance), thr service is great and the folks running this place are friendly and provide great service. Their signature smash burger is a classic taste delight, cooked well. They also have a Chicken Tikka burger, which I will need to order next time. The only drawback is no seats, but no problem, get a burger and have a drink across the street at Highbury Pub and enjoy it with your beverage!

Bhai ka Burger + extra patty
    Jade M.

Came here and ordered the Bhai ka burger, decided to add an extra patty (cost extra). The burger was very well seasoned and definitely fulfilling. I prefer a burger like this over a random McDonald burger any day. The service was nice and it did take time to make the food but it was worth the wait. I also decided to try the masala fries and they have a hint of spice without tasting like they were over seasoned, definitely worth trying if you don't mind a little kick. This is a place I would visit as a treat or when I want a really burger.

We had a very full day before visiting Burger Bhai late at night, and it was almost capped off with utter disappointment when we nearly missed getting our burgers before closing. When we called in just to make sure we could make it, we were reassured--when we arrived, they were awesome in how accommodating they were for how close to the edge we were on time. Their burgers were great, with great flavors all around; the only criticism I would give is a matter of personal taste: the special sauce--to me--was a bit too tangy, and could use some more savory flavor to counter it. Their rose limeade is similar: I personally liked it a lot, but as it is, it's a bit of an acquired taste because it is quite heavy on the rose essence. My highlight though, food aside, was without a doubt their great service and conversation. You can truly tell that the owner and staff are all-in on it, and for good reason. Keep it up, and I'll be back!

Let's start with the good - the service and ambiance were on point. I went on a Sunday evening around 7pm. It was busy inside, but since I was a solo diner I was seated immediately by the bar. The servers were friendly and attentive. Probably 3-4 different people checked in multiple times throughout the meal. Where I struggle is with the actual burger itself. As a non-resident New Yorker, for me $22.50 is a lot to spend on a burger and fries. It needs to rock my world at that price point. And it just didn't. I got the B&B Burger. The onion ring tasted like it had been refried a second time to make my burger. The bread was crumbly like it was on the verge of going stale. The actual beef patty itself was decent - good flavor. Usually I can overlook an okay burger if the fries are top notch, but these fries were under-seasoned and also 'just okay'. I also got a side of Chicken Tenders. These were good - no complaints here. I really wanted to like this spot, but not sure this would be a return visit for me.

Friendly waitress greeted us and sat us immediately. Menu's came out and they recommended a pizza and burger. We agreed and ordered. Place started to pick up and get busy immediately after we ordered. Food came out pretty quickly. We each had a burger. Not a lot of options on the menu but we all tried the emily burger. It was worth it. Think, juicy and with an amazingly unique taste. The ingredients were high quality, the burger cooked to perfection. The table also split the modern pizza (I think). Not sure what to expect from this one but turns out it was perfect, unique and delicious. The cheese taste really shined through. Overall, we were super happy with the food here. Stop by if you have a chance.

Today however it wasn't pizza that brought me here, it was the famous Emmy Burger. To begin with the atmosphere of the restaurant is dim lighting a few tables with a reasonable sized bar in the middle of the room. They also have an open kitchen concept where just past the bar you can see the cooks working. My server Inda was polite and knowledgeable about the menu. My burger was excellent, normally I don't eat my burger with a knife and folk, but in this case with all the cheese and sauce oozing down the sides, not to mention the caramelized onions, it was necessary. (If I were home I wouldn't mind having burger juices running down my arm, but other people were eating in the restaurant also). The tiny pickles which I can't remember the name of were an added treat to the burger. I decided to order mine with the loaded fries. Just imagine the ground burger with all the toppings covering french fries and add melted white cheese. Since I was alone I didn't order a pizza because how would I eat it all, but next time I will try the pizza. I don't mind paying extra for a burger when it's aged beef and the taste is great. I definitely recommend this location. There is a fast food burger restaurant next door to Emily's but I can't imagine there burgers compare. I will try them another time and let you know. That's all for now, see you on my next review.

Both restaurants have been in business for well over half a century with well-deserved accolades. Despite having grown up in Brooklyn, I hadn't been to either before this year. I read reviews and actually asked ChatGPT what to order at R-N-R. We went with its suggestion: medium roast beef with cheese, onion rings, root beer and lemonade. My sandwich was more well-done than requested. They don't offer 'rare'. The few bites with red meat were infinitely better than the rest of the sandwich. The roll, as everyone points out, is baked in house. Though light and puffy, it didn't outweigh overdone beef. Onion rings were great, root beer average, and lemonade -- per my husband who loves lemonade -- excellent. While I wouldn't balk about returning, my vote goes to Brennan and Carr, though truly, when cooked as requested there is no substantial difference. If you take the train, get off at Sheepshead Bay Road and head south. Turn left at Emmons Avenue and keep walking. Twenty minutes all told.

I ordered: * Truffle Maker ($11.59) * Truffle Parmesan Fries ($6.50) * Chicken Bites with BBQ sauce ($8.05) * Large Yuzu Honey Lemonade ($4.00) Truffle maker was pretty good and I was glad I was able to remove the caramelized onions and truffle aioli (I'm picky). The bun is soft and sweet and the burger has a good amount of sautéed mushrooms. Truffle Parmesan fries were pretty standard, but still very good. Yuzu honey lemonade has bits of citrus at the bottom of the drink and it was refreshing. I saved the chicken bites hours later and it was still pretty crispy after being microwave. Texture was reminiscent of Taiwanese popcorn chicken, nicely seasoned. Overall had a pleasant experience, I definitely want to return and try the rest of their menu.

The taste of their burgers is different from most of the burger places I have tried before. I have also ordered Yuzu Honey Lemonade. I was trying to taste the honey in the lemonade. I guess I was expecting too much. The drink was refreshing. I may try the Matcha Yuzu Lemonade next. I met a gentleman who goes by the name Ten P aka 10pushups on IG. He recommended that I try his cola shake. That is what I got, plus the whipped cream. I was honestly looking for the taste of Coca-Cola because Cola is in the name. Regardless of what I expected, the shake was pretty good. I am not a shake person, so when he asked me to try it, I made an exception. Overall: I plan on coming back to Bun Haus. This was good eats.

We both went with rare roast beef, cheese and onions. T asked for his double-dipped in gravy. Yum! Short of five stars, but yum nonetheless. We ordered two unhealthy sides which added to the decadence of our lunch: corn fritters and onion rings. If you only get one, go with the fritters. The place is busy.
