I have been ordering from this establishment for quite a while, with no problems! Unfortunately, today was a NIGHTMARE! I placed a delivery and the entire order was Incorrect! I called and requested the correct order and was told to wait until they deliver me a new order. After waiting for 30 minutes, I decided to call to see the status! The women on the phone hung up on me twice as soon as I requested the status while laughing! The driver finally arrives with the food but is missing the fries and drink. When I called to let them know, a very angry man answers. He stated he was "too busy to talk and has 40 orders" and hung up! Theres some really great food at this joint!! They have one of the best burgers I have had in a LONG time. I have tried many burgers from many fancy restaurants and I have to tell you nothing surpasses this delicious juicy burger. Also try their chicken tenders. These too are so good!!!!! Also I ordered the vegetable soup which BTW has tons of delicious chicken in it. My daughter loved it. You gotta try this place!! I wish I could give this spot more than five stars! The food, service, and atmosphere are all a 100/10. I am surprised that they do not have more customers with their delicious food. It is worth the price; in fact, it is worth more. Everything is fresh, from the meat to the vegetables in the burger, which taste like they have been just plucked from a garden. The bun is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The meat has an unimaginable level of flavor since it is grilled on open flame, instead of a griddle, and makes you want to keep taking another bite. The burgers are big and the sliders are a perfect size. Their chicken tenders are fresh and juicy. I would recommend the avocado chicken wrap. Actually, I would like to recommend everything on their menu. There are large portion sizes, all for just the right price. read more

I'm writing this as the issue is happening. I place an order online for lunch at work. I order a steak salad which as the pic I have provided is described as 'Grilled slices of prime beef on a bed of lettuce'. $18. Worse than midtown prices (I've worked in midtown and still only spent $15). Mind you this is going on just as it's ok to eat certain kinds of romaine lettuce. I, along with a few of my co workers place my order and their meal comes with lettuce. Mine is with all the veggies I ordered my salad with, plus the steak. NO LETTUCE. Last night I ordered seven burgers from Brooklyn location for me and my workers we were working at construction Night Shift. I strictly told the guy when I made the order that I would like to get the food nice and warm by the time the driver arrived. The food was very cold. French fries was missing Burgers were disgusting impossible to eat it. I've had decent food from Retro before. Today I ordered the "greek chicken cutlet" in a wrap and the "classic steak sandwich" in a wrap. The chicken wrap was white meat with very basic seasoning. It was dry. It's advertised as "marinated in olive oil, oregano, lemon, and fresh dill". It was just basic chicken breast with salt, pepper, and paprika thrown on the grill. The steak wrap was tasty with great seasoning (I think some cumin maybe?), but the meat wasn't tender and there were a few hard to chew pieces. Way too overpriced for the size and general quality of the burger. Burger skimped on the meat, but it was an okay tasting burger. (3.5 of 5 stars quality) Fries Sucked. Corn Dog sucked...just slightly less so (expensive for what it is...$3 for a crappy corn dog?). Fries looked unappetizing, and tasted even worse. Didn't even finish them, and was so compelled at how bad they were, that I decided to write the review. Dry, burnt and tasted like burnt, old grease. Overly expensive for a burger and fry joint. I have no choice but to update my review cause this place, once established, has been going downhill, especially with non existence customer service, bad attitude by the order takers and cashiers, so cheap on the sauces, crispy chicken fingers are soggy, steak sandwich is chewy. Once their image was built, they raised their prices, which is acceptable, but not when the food and service has been downgraded. It is a pity cause the place still has some good food left on the menu but if I complained 3 times in 10 days [and was promised a call from management] and no one bothered calling back, then I guess it is time to stop eating there. read more

I was so excited to finally see a Beyond Burger option on their menu, however, when I took a bite of my "Beyond Burger" IT WAS REAL MEAT! This is NOT okay. This evening, I ate at Retro Grill, one of the many meat kosher options in Brooklyn. First off, let me start by saying that I eat at this restaurant a lot, as they have really good burgers, in my opinion. I decided to get myself a burger special, which includes a burger, fries, and a can/water bottle. I ordered the burger medium rare with lettuce, pickles, and their signature sauce (their special sauce). The burger was cooked to perfection, the meat was done as specified, the burger was a square patty. The french fries were really crispy, thinly cut, and under-seasoned. Though, personally, I love under-seasoned dishes because I get to add the salt, rather if they'd add too much salt, it would leave me 'salty'. Puns.. For all this, I payed a total of $15.24, a real bargain in my opinion. To finish off, I really enjoy eating here! For what you are paying for, I think this restaurant has great options, especially if you eat strictly kosher dishes. Five stars from me! read more

Used to order a lot from there. Not because it's great, just because they deliver to my area. One time I asked them to leave my food on the porch because I wasn't home. I always tipped the drivers, and this one was paid by credit card and tip was also left. Took me 45 minutes to find the food. It wasn't where I expected. Apparently the guy that always deliver to my house, decided I moved a few houses away. Delivery guy wasn't helpful on the phone in helping me find it. I call the next day just to be screamed at. Than owner called me, apologized and promised credit on the account. Something he failed to deliver. Asking me not to write a bad review. We either go to, or order from Retro Grill maybe 3 times a year. This place is excellent. I've never yelped them and was surprised to see a few poor ratings. While i'm sure everyplace has their off nights, i'd argue that they are grossly mistaken in low ratings. Retro Grill is excellent. Wide variety of foods and I find the prices to be very fair, especially the all day combo of burger, fries, soda for $13, i mean, how much lower could they go. Burgers are always cooked very nicely, juicy and stacked with your choice of fixins. Sauces are also delicious and can come on burger or on the side.Burgers are HUGE too but no sacrifice in taste. Special note to the burger salad which includes a chopped up burger on top, somehow they manage to keep that meet extra juicy as well. On to sides/apps...The freshly dipped corn dog is not to be missed, batter is amazing and just super fun to eat. Onion rings are good but not my favorite item (though we always seem to order them). Fries are also nice and crispy, with some texture to them. Anecdotal note, we ordered delivery and they forgot the fries. To remedy, they made a special trip over right away, before we'd finished eating (we're about 10 min drive away to begin with), and they were piping hot. Pretty good! Grandma and I got chicken vegetable soup that was good. Grandma liked her hot dog. My pulled beef burger was good but heavy. They didn't play around with lettuce and tomato: just meat and bun. Mom's salad came without dressing, but she said the sauteed onions gave it flavor. We all liked the fries! Service was a little slow, the high stools were hard for my grandma to get into, and I wish they had ranch dressing. I love their brisket, pulled beef egg rolls, and rice krispy chicken. The sauces are amazing. I love the garlic mayo and occasionally the chimichurri. The brisket has a very beefy flavor, and is amazing. The burgers have a unique Middle Eastern taste, and are mixed with spices and bread crumbs, so these may not be for everyone's taste. I haven't had fast food in a while but tonight we ordered in retro grill (Brooklyn) and I am so happy we did. Delivery was quick about half hour-40 min. The food arrived hot and was so so good. I got the pastrami burger that was juicy and bun was nice it held up. It was also very large so you're def getting your money's worth. We also ordered crunchy chicken fingers which were amazing. So crunchy on the outside and so soft on the inside. I had them with the bbq sauce and garlic mayo which were both on point.
