So it's late night in Brooklyn and I decided to come here and I only ate here once which was about 2 weeks ago for a breakfast sandwich which was pretty good, I did feel like it was a lil pricey, $7 for a sandwich ?? It was good but $7 lol Anyway tonight I order a Philly cheesesteak with fries and when I say that was the best Philly cheesesteak I had in a long time, he definitely made my food with love, I honestly wasn't to big on the fries due to me liking crispy fries. They've got a great selection of all the typical deli stuffs including bagels, chips, drinks, etc. And they slice up some amazing sandwiches. My favorite and a must try for all of you: the jerk turkey club with bacon. Smoked turkey rolled in jerk seasoning and bacon together create a crazy good combo. Add in the cheese, crisp lettuce, a tomato if you wish and a warm soft roll and you've got a perfect lunch sandwich. And it's only $5.50 for roll. Not a bad price for perfection. read more

Ahhh, Finally after 5 months of extensive renovation, Nostrand Express has reopened. The deli now has a large seating area and many more showcases that serve different variety of foods. Their main food used to be Sandwiches but now they have branched out into the "Halal" foods too. They have, falafals, Gyros and Shish Ka Bops. But I must say, Sal still makes the best sandwiches in town. He will toast the italian bread and begin laying out his masterpieces one hogie at a time. His portions are very generous and he only uses prime cold cuts. It really makes a huge difference in the final product. Yum. Yet, he still manages to keep the prices very low. (Sal is a great humanitarian as well) Inside, Sal has completely redone all the countertops with granite and used real wood to display candy and snacks. The entire store is brightly lit with new hologen lighting and even the beverage showcases are new. There are only a handful of upscale delis of this kind in Brooklyn and in this area , this is the only one. So do yourself a favor and trekk down to the Brooklyn College area for the best deli in Brooklyn! read more

Love this deli, very conveniently located near Brooklyn college and always my go to if I forget to pack my lunch. Deli sandwiches, wraps, salads, and all sorts of snacks available. But hands down they have the best wraps and are pretty reasonably priced, too. Their grilled chicken wrap is so juicy, fresh, and satisfying; I just had it today and I'm craving it already. Hard to find a beloved deli like this one. I will reiterate that the food is good, qucik and the staff is usually very friendly despite the crowd this place usually has. There is even a few clean tables and chairs for you to sit and munch on your eats should you care to in the back and they're well stocked with a lot of beverages, chips, candy, cookies, etc. read more

The cook who prepares the food needs to slow down and stop rushing so much. Everytime I ordered something that involved bacon, after I opened the sandwich and looked at it; the bacon would be raw and uncooked, and I would wind up throwing the whole sandwich in the garbage - completely wasting my money, because who would want to eat uncooked bacon. The go to spot in the BC area for a good sandwich. Go with the Philly Cheese Steak if you want something hot. The service is lightning fast considering it can be crowded. If you know what you want when you order (I, duh, want, duh- not a great idea), keep it simple (asking for a complicated sandwich doesn't make you clever, it delays everyone else and makes you sound like a great big dick), and tip-it makes it even faster. DO NOT EAT HERE. This place gave me food poisoning. I got a chicken cutlet sandwhich which was the only thing I had eaten all day and two hours later I was sick.
