Cheesesteak with cheese fries
Christopher N.

I've always heard how Federoffs is one of the best cheesesteaks in NYC.. and I will say, the hype lived up to expectations! Ordered for delivery and it arrived hot and cheesy. The steak has a good flavor, there's just the right amount of cheese, and the onions give a nice soft crunch for texture. The fries still had a nice texture even being delivered. The cheese sauce did solidify a little bit but I liked that it was stretchy.. felt like real cheese rather than processed cheese. I was happy with my cheesesteak and would absolutely order again.

I don't think I've ever had cheesesteak out of Philadelphia before so this was an interesting experience. We shared 1.5 large sandwiches between 2 people and I think that was more than enough food. - Cheesesteak - I don't know how I feel about this sandwich. Although there is a lot of meat and a lot of cheese, they felt a bit like separate ingredients. Although I will give it to them that it does taste quite similar to the ones in Philadelphia. We ultimately had to eat this sandwich with a fork as a lot of the ingredients were falling out. - Italian Hoagie - Unfortunately they didn't have any of their Roast Pork sandwiches left so we decided to try this one out. I feel like you can get this combination at a lot of other delis for cheaper but this was a solid italian hoagie regardless. I appreciate how much different cuts of meat they had even though the bread was a bit wet. Overall, okay sandwich place. I might go to a deli instead next time. I will say that all the workers here were extremely nice and accommodated all of our very specific slicing instructions which was very generous of them.

I can't believe I didn't know about this place sooner and I've been living in this neighborhood for a few years now. Better late than never, this is pretty close to what I've had in philly. Their cheesesteak and roast pork sandwiches are so tender and juicy. My friend and I shared so we got to try both. This is definitely the move. Pro tip, if you're going to Brooklyn Brewery nearby and wanna being food. Take these sandwiches there!

I got the sandwich delivered via Uber Eats so I can't provide a proper review of the service or ambiance. The sandwich itself though was very good. The steak was finally chopped and well covered with cheese whiz. The hero itself was good quality and held the food well without getting the sogginess that is common especially after delivery. The sandwich was well packaged which I think helped the flavors combine. The only slight on Fedoroffs is that it is pricey. At the end of the day, you will be satisfied and this will fill any classic cheesesteak fix you have. Best that I've had in Brooklyn / queens so far.

You can ~literally~ get a Yankees ticket with a beer and a hot dog and have money left over.

Criminally expensive. Go to a nice steakhouse instead. Fill up your tank and just drive to Philadelphia at this point.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? I waited a long time for this and it DELIVERED!! Mr. Born in So. Philly - thank you sir! Roast Pork Special 14 Hour Roast Pork, Sharp Prov, Broccoli Rabe. Cheesesteak CREEKSTONE FARMS PRIME STEAK, sliced in house daily, cheese whiz, onions. You can sub provolone, but IMO, cheese whiz is the way to go! Parking is a bit challenging but its not a sit down spot so grab a wingman and do the drive by. Thank me later!! I did get a Mr. Spina's Italian Hoagie Sharp prov, capicola, sopressata, proscuitto, lettuce, tomato, onion, oil & vinegar - that me and my wingman destroyed while double parked - regrettably forgot the pic. MUST TRY!

Easy walk from the Bedford station and fast service. I ordered the roast pork sandwich ($18.95) and cheesesteak ($19.95) and a birch beer to go (absolute must). Two medium 6" sandwiches between two people was our lunch and dinner. Sandwiches are made to order and were still warm by the time I made it back home to Queens. Definitely make sure you have napkins on standby because eating gets very messy but it's so good. Loved the broccoli rabe and the slight kick the roast pork sandwich had. The cheesesteak was very savory and had lots of onions and cheese wiz. Worth checking out if you're looking for a hearty meal or share a sandwich.

OMG... Have been following on IG for years and years, Hubby and I were driving home from a NYC weekend and something popped in my head to go try them... So I jumped on the site & ordered online... Have never been so I jumped on here quick to just get a gauge of size and they all seemed GIANT, so I ordered One sub thinking it would be big enough to share and in the event we didnt love we wouldnt have 4 subs (I normally have a tendency to over order everything). We get the sub and its not BIG... I think I was looking at a jumbo catering sub pic, now I know for next time, BUT OMG... IT WAS GOOD - Better than places Ive been in Philly good, and Ive been to many (I have fam there)... Was bummed I didnt get 4, LOL Next time will def order a bunch and then see if theres a possibility to get a Broccoli Rab on Steak vs Pork also (Hubby is Muslim and we dont do pork)! But cannot wait to come back, truly a great, messy, gooey cheesesteak!!! Order more than 1!!! And now I dont need to drive all the way to Philly when I have a craving!

I wanted to love this place look cool old school from the outside. We got the Italian and Philly cheesesteak. I don't mind overpaying for something good but $22 for a Philly and water when you get not much cheese or anything extra in it wasn't worth it. It wasn't bad but nothing special. The Italian was mostly soaked break with vinegar and oil and I usually love that. The only problem was barely any meat in it. This place has real potential and a good feel by the looks of it. I wish my stomach taste buds and wallet felt good about it.

Man, how did I take so long to come here? We come over this way once a month or so for Simpsons Trivia, and this is on the way if we take the L train. The cheesesteak and the roast pork sandwiches were delicious - if a little pricey. It was a Tuesday, so my husband got his cheesesteak for about $13 instead of $18. The taste was on par with one of my favorites in Philly, Max's - but the portion ratio, not so much, considering you can get a giant sandwich there for $26. Alas, this is Brooklyn, and the gentrified, hipster part at that - so I suppose the price is to be expected. The old school menu board and soda fountain labels were a treat.

Food: Everything at Fedoroff's is amazing -- from the cheesesteaks piled high to the perfectly cooked fried onions. The flavors hit just right every time. I got so hooked that I started coming every Friday for a cheesesteak with cheese fries on the side. Ambience: The place has a cozy, welcoming vibe from the moment you walk in. It feels like one of those spots you just can't help but come back to. Service: The staff is friendly and efficient, always keeping things running smoothly even when it's busy. You can tell they take pride in what they do.

Service was friendly!! Cheesesteaks were good!! Steaks were delicious but the cheese whiz that they use is pretty salty!! Get ready to get MESSY!! Give it a try regardless!!

It's fine for cheese steak but not amazing...not sure if locals in Greenpoint were just desperate for a cheesesteak or if the quality has gone down. The meat is good but not as high quality as Danny & Coop's. The cheese seems to just be Cheesewhiz, which is authentic but also seems like a lack of trying. The fries seemed frozen and lacked much discernible character. And the seating was counter style but the ambiance felt like a truck stop. Service was friendly and prompt. So overall, not bad but certainly not great.

Steak with white american cheese with the works (onions, peppers, and hot peppers) There's an option for mayo, I'm not sure who's getting mayo on their cheesesteak but hey, you do you! The owner comes to the front and I tell him I saw this spot on social media. Everything looks amazing, I can't wait to try my sandwich. How long have you been in business? I'm expecting 18 months, he tells me over 30 years?? Wow! Not only is Philadelphia Grille a sandwich shop but they're also serving pizza for decades. I must point out, Philadelphia Grille is a very small spot. Walking inside, you're faced with a small counter. Once you have your food, they have tables and chairs in a covered lanai. I'd be a chilly Billy eating my sandwich so I took it to go. Once I get back to my Brooklyn Fortress of Solitude I dig in. The cheesesteak my way? Dynamite. Italian bread from Brooklyn wrapping up a cheesy meat fest. Philadelphia Grille did everything right in Brooklyn! I can't wait to come back and try the roast pork. Allow me to put it in perspective, this is gas station food on steroids. Located in Red Hook (and all it takes is to go outside and see you are in Red Hook), this nondescript bodega serves up one heck of a sandwich that will have you thinking, did I just eat that? This is not your ordinary New York bodega, this is the shop of General Ock, who sells various sandwiches in his renowned Ocky Way. So what is the Ocky Way? The Ocky Way is not just a sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and onions, it is also about presentation and style. The sandwich is made loudly with a flair for the dramatic, from the time your food hits the flat top to when it is center cut and put in a clamshell container. What about the food? It really is pretty good! I got the Chopped Cheese the Ocky Way and it was something I really enjoyed. I recommend you get it with the Jamaican Patty as that is what makes the flavors work best. You can also do it with a waffle or pancake or whatever bread you like. All you have to do is scarf it down. You can also put your own toppings on your sandwich if you want for an extra premium à la Farmer in the Deli style. Farmer in the Deli is another well known bodega in Fort Greene, known for finely chopping their meat into a sandwich, one I highly recommend as well. Even after writing this review, I still cannot believe what I ate here. Before I finish this review, I have to say one more thing. Neva neva neva forget to get a drink with your order!

Fedoroff's is great but pricey, and I remembered Olde City wasn't bad the last time I had it years ago, so I trekked in. Mistake. I should have stayed home. Garlic Parm wings were big and well-sauced, but when I bit in I found they were a bit drier than other wings I've had. And $19 for a plate of wings seems high. Italian fries were the same story - seasoned well, but tough. Nothing like the great ones at Yankee Stadium. When I get tough food I always wonder if they served me reheated leftovers from yesterday. For the cheesesteak, I ordered the "Authentic" which is supposed to come with your choice of cheese (Whiz/American/Provolone/Cooper Sharp/Ghost pepper jack); but I absentmindedly forgot to specify my choice and the server didn't ask me. It was only when the food came and I saw the Whiz when I realized. I would have appreciated a prompt so that I could have gotten Cooper Sharp. It was his first day so maybe he didn't know better. There was another server behind the bar who he was training under. I will give the servers props for giving me the combo price without me asking for it ($18 for cheesesteak, fries, and soda/water). But overall, stuff could have been better. The place was dead. I was one of three people in there but still felt ignored. There's a lot of TVs and a lot of beer options so I can see it being a good place to drink and watch a game. But the food is just ok. Very different than what I remembered.
