this meatball sub might be the best one I've had in nyc so far omg…read more the meatballs were perfectly cooked and the sub came out MASSIVE and nice and hot the only thing is that I waited for my friend to get their food and in 15 min I guess the steam got parts of the bread soggy so nezt time im going to dig right in when I get it!! 10/10

I had just finished a side quest in Bushwick and haven't eaten all day. I randomly stumbled upon…read morethis business and decided to give it a try since it holds my favorite type of food ever, pasta !! It's a very small shop with just a few seats, a menu that's kind of hidden above to the right and a hand written menu (with specials for the day) on their drink fridge. I stuck with my gut and got the spicy vodka rigatoni (includes ground pork in the sauce) and fried chicken cutlet on the side with a drink and chips, the chips were free since it was between their lunch special time (12-2pm). The worker that helped me was very informative and answered every single question I had. I waited no more than 5-10 minutes for my food, it was piping hot and FRESH... everything was perfectly made. I really couldn't stop eating it. The fried cutlet was cooked just right and the pasta was an al dente texture to be appreciated. I've also never had a Spellegrino before, it definitely complimented my meal. I will be returning to try something else (or maybe the same thing lol) when I'm around that area sooner rather than later. Pasta: 10/10 Fried chicken cutlet: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Pricing: Fair

xia ($19) - my number 1 recommendation because after trying…read moreeverything else, this remains the best - something about the combo of shrimp, egg, and cheese just makes the flavor super well rounded; nothing fancy but a good basic - it always comes hot, fresh, and crispy with jumbo snappy shrimp pastrami beef tongue ($21) - my number 2 choice if you want something less basic! - it was heavier with more flavor than the shrimp; it also felt fattier in a good slutty way because the meat was super succulent rousang ($16) - this is where i start questioning their menu only because this is still scallion pancake but half the portion of the xia - regardless of the portion, i loved the flavor and texture; it got a good amount of rousang paired with egg and cheese - scallion pancake itself was super crispy but a lot thinner than the one above san bei ji chop'd cheese ($21) - this was not bad but flavor wasnt as good as the 3 above - i didn't really taste the 3 cup fan tuan ($7) - i cried when i saw this because it was the skinniest, shortest, tiniest fan tuan ive ever seen in my life and most expensive... - fan tuan is supposed to be so massive with lots of rice and filling that your blood sugar level spikes like crazy ok; this wasn't enough to send me to a coma so it was a fake fan tuan - it breaks my heart seeing them sell this because you cannot call this fan tuan - i will give credit for them for serving a crispy 油條 (chinese fried donut?) though red date cake - really yummy super moist and not too sweet bolo bao - too expensive and ordinary; just get it at a regular asian bakery mochinut - very dense mochi donut! So so chewy your jaw will have to get to work; i can see how some ppl wouldn't like it bc it's too chewy and dense but i loved it rating: 4/5 - if i take into consideration of the whole menu, this would probably be 3/5 but since i always just get the scallion pancake and pastries, and they have consistently been delectable, it's a solid 4! - i just love the texture and flavor a lot especially the xia - the ambiance is super hippie and chill; it's a perfect spot for breakfast and quick bites; they also got this bar section with a tv playing old school films giving retro vibes - their pastries were all delicious with some unique selection - service has consistently been amazing; workers there were all happy and chill vibes - definitely give it a try but start from the xia and pastries for sure IG: @nom.noms.only
