The inside doesn't have much seating (only window seating), but they have seating on the outside. On top of being a sandwich spot, they are also a deli and sell a variety of supermarket goods. I got their breakfast burrito and turkey club. Both sandwiches were pretty solid, and good for the morning. This spot was such a good find! My friend had been recommending this spot for a while and I'm glad I finally tried it! We got there around 11, there was quite a line but I moved pretty fast. Loved the Della club! It has great flavor with a kick of spice. I love that the bread is toasted, the bacon is crispy and the lettuce is fresh. Will order this again! The wifey tasted a little too fishy. I like white fish but this one wasn't my favorite. I liked that there were slices of potatoes and egg (almost like a do it yourself egg salad). I would recommend to order online. I paid upfront so my order was ready within 15min and I skipped the line and grabbed my paper bag. Updated Review: I used to give Foster Sundry a 4/5. The coffee was good and the sandwiches were pricey but very good. Welp, as of Jan 2019, the quality of the sandwiches has dropped substantially while the prices have remained the same. For instance, I had the Thai Basil sandwich last year and it had plenty of beef, basil, was on good bread and everything tasted like quality. I got the same sandwich today and it had half the amount of beef, too much mayo and almost no basil. I had the pulled pork sandwich a few weeks ago and it was the same experience. It's like they started skimping on portion size and good ingredients, but kept the price the same. Sad! The coffee is still good though. read more

Okay so I do love this place - it's a really sweet specialty store with great quality items. Awesome cheese, amazing meat. But I gave it 4 starts because of two reasons: it's super pricey - like the lamb chops were over $70.... I think the quality is high but it's sort of like you're paying New York wild prices. Also, every time I go there, the staff is super unfriendly. I usually don't like to write negative reviews for any business, but we go there at least once or twice a month for something small, and the women behind the counter have been so noticeably rude, it's super odd. Came here because of yelp good reviews and also, it was after 8pm and everything was closed (I'm taking about butchers shops). The shop is very nice and clean. The men at meat counter was super supportive and helped me to pick different meat and also gave instructions how to cook. Delmonico steaks were having small gray color on both sides, and that fact made me sad. After I fried it was ok. All another cuts were amazing, fresh and delicious. Personally I think this store is little overpriced, and even in Manhattan I can buy meat cheaper. But we will come back here definitely. read more

Great food, pastries, and coffee served with the worst vibes. The lady with the bangs working the cashier needs to go. I don't really have any expectations for being serviced when I'm out getting food, I'm glad this spot doesn't make their employees fake their enthusiasm at work but this one lady consistently looks way too irritated when I ask for anything. She also stabs at the pastries with the tongs whenever I ask her for one and it gets all mashed up while she carelessly stuffs it in the takeout bag. I think Foster Sundry has a lot of cool things to offer to the community which is why I find myself back there time and time again despite it being a woke white hipster cafe cliche. Just wanted to flag this one employee's attitude because the pretentious white lady with short thick bangs making customers feel dumb for trying to order something trope might work in Portland, not in Bushwick where people can find the same kind of cafe run by the same kind of white folks who don't make you feel stupid when you walk in there. read more

The people working there are knowledgeable and patient with all the absurd customers they have to deal with, but the self stable products are absurdly marked up, the meat costs are atrocious and not worth the quality. I stopped by because of raving reviews for the breakfast sandwiches. Service was super slow, which was kind of a bummer because I was in a rush. All the chatting would have been nice if I had been in the mood for it, but I really just wanted to get out of there. I ordered the honey and ham biscuit after much humming and hawing. I really wanted something NOT on a biscuit - just based on personal preference - but that seemed like the most satisfying thing on the menu. Who can turn down ham, cheese, AND hot honey?! The sandwich itself was delicious! Small - but delicious. I think I finished it in about four and a half bites. It was definitely made to order, and all the components tasted fresh, including the biscuit. I found it a little too greasy for my liking though. Don't ask how many napkins I used to wipe off my fingers and my face... I definitely wouldn't have one of these sandwiches every day or even every week - besides the fact that it would probably break the bank, it would probably also clog up my arteries. I would recommend stopping by if you are looking for a quick breakfast or coffee to go. There isn't much in terms of seating, so don't expect to find a spot at the counter top. The grocery items were all ridiculously expensive - yes, farm fresh, but expensive - so I shied away from that section. Foster Sundry is a cute shop on Knickerbocker that has a mini grocery market, butcher shop and cafe all in one. My favorite menu items are the biscuits! They offer delicious biscuits and I love the ricotta and jam option or one of the breakfast sandwiches. They also have a variety of lunch sandwiches that I haven't tried. I like this spot, though I don't go a lot because their food can tend to be on the pricy side. They do have high quality products so it's definitely nice to treat myself once in a while! read more

I'm like Toucan Sam when it comes to certain pleasures in life like cheese, bread, beer and coffee and Foster & Sundry has most of these things. There's a curated selection of cheeses! And the bonus is they normally have a little sample area highlighting one of the cheeses. There's fresh fruit that looks so perfect that it almost doesn't look real. Extra fancy pantry items from high class salts to decadent hot chocolates. I love that this specialty shop also serves as a coffee shop serving up steaming cups of Parlor coffee. The counter has there gorgeous packaged beans, with a Virgin Mary candle and a small bouquet. And the fun doesn't stop there, there's homemade caramels and candies at the check out too. And like s mouse lured by the cheese, I am always snatching up a load of L'Imprimerie bread also laid by the coffee counter. Was super helpful to bag it up with an extra plastic bag for freshness. And even though this lovely shop is ahead of its time with the neighborhood I'm looking forward to treating myself with nice ingredients. By far the best breakfast burrito i've ever had. moved from bushwick recently and i find myself craving it at least twice a week both versions of the burrito--the (house-made!!) chorizo and the mushrooms-- absolutely slap. it's comfort food on steroids. i've had a few other sandwiches, all fantastic, but it's the breakfast burrito that does it for me. also love their rotating cast of seasonal greens and products. genuinely fun walking out with a loaf of fantastic sourdough and four different varieties of green onions to cook with also really respected and appreciated how they've handled covid in general. wonderful business that's def worth checking in on read more

Bad attitude staff - never welcoming it was becoming a trend and it was for asking for gf bread because my partner is celiac. We came one time at noon on a weekday they told us they sold out and told us to call ahead and when we do they sound annoyed we asked. The last two times I went they got my sandwich wrong. They took the sandwich back and gave me a coffee but at this point it's not an easy nice experience, I wish they would get a little better energy because we were avid customers but it's not worth it anymore. read more
