Best sandwiches in NY! The Nicky chicky parm is the best sandwich. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. The workers were super nice. Everything was also a great value. It was a ton of food for a great price! They had a decent amount of seating but it's all bar seating, keep in mind there are no tables.

Eeek, so happy I tried this place out! Ordered take-out and was so so pleased. Ordered the Alyssa Milano (small) and dang, did that sandwich pack a punch. I added garlic to it as well and that probably wasn't needed, as the sandwich already had so much flavor packed it. Can honestly say that I can't wait to try other sandwiches next time I order. All the ingredients were super fresh and delicious. Ps: Get the sour cream and onion chips to accompany your sandwich. SO good.

If you're from the west coast, this sandwich shop might remind you of Cheba Hut, but dare I say, even better. The quality of ingredients was incredible. The meat and veggies tasted so fresh and the bread was really unique! Perfect for a big sandwich, but you definitely need to be prepared to open wide and get messy! Can't wait to go here again and try another sandwich!

This is a great option if you're looking to change it up from Court St Grocers or are missing the superb sandwich stylings of Troppo Stretto (RIP). While this isn't quite on the level of TS, it's a close substitute. Big Lucca is enormous and fantastic and I will be back for more.

The good - Had the Super Gobbler Thanksgiving Sandwich. It was great on flavor and their packaging is cute. The bad - almost $16 for a small size (roll). The sandwich had wayyy too much cornbread stuffing, which made it a bit mushy. Less stuffing, more turkey. That way, the sandwich doesnt break apart when you bite into it. I think $16 for a small roll is a wee bit over the top. I understand inflation is a MTF but you will gain loyal followers if you do right by them.

Delicious sandwich, good bread, Fresh ingredients. Chicken cutlet was fried perfectly. It was a big juicy sandwich I ate half and brought the other half for my daughter who's also a goody like me. I heard about Mission from IG and j always wanted to try it and it did not disappoint. Looking fwd to another trip to try another sandwich. Clean shop, friendly staff and good eats

On vacation to NY. A fan of Chef Brian and Frenchy on SYWGFvideos. From California so I'm familiar with Ike's sandwiches and the concept. I got the Steve Byrne and my wife got Vegan Annie Oakley. Looking and eating the sandwiches you can tell the ingredients were good and lots of care was put into it. Down to the pop open box with your personalized sticker with name. Chef Brian beat Bobby Flay with his bulgogi recipe so I had to get the Steve Byrne. My wife always gets vegan eggplant sandwiches so Vegan Annie Oakley was the choice. I love the bulgogi and lunches pairing. I'm used to my bulgogi being a little sweeter but that was my only critique. You do need to eat it right away or the kimchi and bulgogi juice will make the sandwich soggy. Chef Brian was nice enough to take a picture at the end. Heading over to Le Rivage before heading home.

I have been to Mission Sandwich with my boyfriend a number of times and it never disappoints! Mission should be crowned the best sandwiches in NYC! I keep changing up the sandwich that I get and each one has touched my soul! During my most recent visit to Mission Sandwich my boyfriend and I ordered the Tommy Cutlet, he had his as is and I had mine with the vegetarian chicken; the pesto and the burrata were oozing out the sides and each bite took me to euphoria! I have dreamed of this sandwich and my boyfriend and I agree that our lives have been changed for the better because of it! If you are looking for a California style sandwich on Dutch crunch bread that will blow your mind, look no further than Mission Sandwich! Thanks for continuing to uphold quality and for always changing my life with each and every sandwich.

On the way home I stopped by Mission Sandwich to grab an early dinner. Upon entering I was greeted by the owner. Decent vibe inside. Plentiful options for sandwiches. I went with the turkey sandwich. Ingredients were fresh and bread was flaky and soft. Overall I enjoyed my sandwich and I'm definitely going to return to try others. Highly recommended!

A solid spot for a filling sandwich -- I appreciated that they have vegetarian and vegan substitutions for a lot of menu items. This is a classic California-style sandwich on Dutch Crunch bread. It's a casual spot, would grab-and-go. I got the Raging Bull, overall loved the roasted eggplant but there was a comical amount of arugula.

chubbyemu special. it was the bomb.

Chef Brian Tsao made the best sandwich i ever had. the Chubbyemu was packed with fries, steak and chili crisp, the cumin mustard sauce added a surprise into the flavor, i mean in a very good way. tomato soup was acidic and hearty, very tart. perfect pairing to the bread that comes with the soup.

I've been waiting years to finally try this place and it exceeded expectations in every way possible. The criticisms of this place I feel are very unfair. Yes, it's expensive, but it's one of the best sandwiches I've had in years and I had 2 meals out of it. Yes, the sandwiches are so big, it's nigh impossible to eat neatly, BUT THATS THE POINT! I actually sent this as one of 3 choices for lunch to a friend visiting and it was no contest: must go to Mission. The bread is fantastic, the topping combinations are truly unique, the service is great, and they really do a swift and delicious business. The David Byrne was stellar. Bulgogi, mozz, kimchi, and fries with ranch - I'm so glad this was my entry to this incredible sandwich shop. I will be back. I can't wait.

Instantly obsessed with this place that I told everyone about it! It lives up to the hyper for sure. The sandwiches were MASSIVE! The photo doesn't do it justice to the pure girth of these bad boys. I will be coming back to try more but probably just get the half size. It was so unique and flavorful. I wish I could give this 6 stars

Today, I got a PISILLO panini with ciabatta bread and it was so damn big! I had half of it for lunch and the other half will be saved for my dinner! This panini was just too long and big. I had to open my mouth really wide to take bites out of the big panini and it was annoying. It tasted good though! I love the balsamic dressing, arugula, tomatoes, and bufula mozz cheese the most out of the whole sandwich! The dressing made it really good and soften the ciabatta bread for easier chewing. My poor mouth and teeth! The whole panini cost $22.21 including tax in cash. There was an atm machine by the entrance in case you don't have cash. The whole place was very cozy and tight knit chairs and tables on both sides of the restaurant. The staff was very fast and I got my panini in not time. I did not have to wait that long. I was just amazed at the size of the ciabatta bread. They had many different types of bread that I can try next time like the focaccia, sfilatino, and semolina bread that looked really good behind the display glass. Every visit reminds you why Parisi has survived since 1903 while trends and neighbors came and went. Let's talk about The Dennis--the undisputed star and a true signature sandwich. This thing is a monster, built on Parisi's legendary fresh-baked bread that somehow stays crisp, chewy, and perfect no matter how much goodness gets piled inside. You get a crispy breaded chicken cutlet layered with thin-sliced prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, and (if you know what you're doing) roasted red peppers. It's all brought together with their house balsamic blend and basil herb spread/pesto--bright, savory, and completely addictive. I cannot confirm or deny that the sandwich is named after me, but I can confirm it's flawless. Pro tips: * Cash only, old-school rules apply. * Come hungry or plan ahead--this sandwich is big enough to share or save half for later, and it still eats beautifully round two. * Tip the sandwich makers. These folks are artists, and the tip box deserves some love. Beyond the food, Parisi is living New York history. From its origins as an Italian bakery on Mott Street, to feeding generations of locals, to being famously beloved by Frank Sinatra (yes, the bread was shipped to California), this place is woven into the fabric of Little Italy/Nolita. Legends like De Niro and Scorsese are fans, and you can still feel that old-world soul--right down to the original brick oven relic resting in the basement. Parisi isn't just a deli. It's continuity. It's tradition. It's proof that when you do one thing incredibly well for over a century, people keep coming back. And once you've had The Dennis, you will too.
