Sometimes when you accidentally get on the wrong train and get off the wrong stop, you'll come across a gem of a shop and think it was kismet. Such was the case for me at 9:30pm on a Tuesday evening, cold and hungry after my workout class. I had recognized The Munchies from Julian Mu's TikTok series, Late Night Bites, and so had hurriedly stepped inside to order some food for the ride home. Even though it was late on a weeknight, the small corner space was bustling, with a line almost to the door. But, the staff moved quickly and efficiently, and I received my order within 10-15 minutes. The menu is quite expansive and offers everything from classic halal cart platters to fish and chips. The portions are extremely generous, especially for the price too and I can definitely see why this is such a popular spot for late night eats. I ordered a lamb and rice platter ($10), which comes with two sides of your choice (I picked hummus and salad). While the white sauce was a little creamier and eggier than I was used to, I really enjoyed the lamb platter which was enough to feed me the next day too. They take Apple Pay too! This is really my go to place for Halal. The food is fresh. Great price. The store is also big enough for abundant of people to be in there. The only thing I would say that would need a little improving is the seasoning. This is me referring to the chicken (mostly the chicken) and lamb.
