    Lamb Gyro Combo

Holy shit! Have I even lived before today? I joined the munchies cult just now. I haven't even made a dent in this lamb platter. One meal will feed three people and it's delicious. They aren't cheap with the meat. Price is right! Service is quick and they r cool. I did ask for jalapeño tomatoes and onion . My son got a gyro and he's like they really packed this in!

Okay....new halal spot. I mean talk about pleasant! Walked in for the first time and they were super patient. They have endless wing flavors and you can tell they like people. It's bright inside too which is nice. Everything is clean and everything is super fresh. Support the people and head over!

I stopped in for a chicken over rice with fries platter. A good amount of food and it tasted good. Didn't end up having to hit the bowl like most places that have the white sauce. The place is clean, but the outside area is dirty because of the PJs around the area. Open late, which is good.

I got off the train late one evening, and I was extremely hungry. The lady on the train was sitting next to me and I would have an abbreath conversation and she told me to check out the munchies when I got off the train I went inside and it was bustling. You would have thought it was 3 o'clock in the afternoon, as opposed to almost midnight. There were drivers coming in to pick up orders. Locals standing in line waiting for their food to be prepared while a well-oiled machine of a team put together burgers, chopped cheese's, and a plethora of other dishes. I ended up going with a chicken gyro with less hot sauce. Coming in around $ 7, this thing was huge! I ended up having to put it on a plate and cut it with a knife and fork. The flavor was good, portions plentiful, and the staff was professional and efficient. Next tim, I'll get all the sauce on the side. It was a bit too much white sauce for me.

Every single one serve char siu and pork but not seafood. I will admit that upon entering this restaurant, I was a bit skeptical since the entrance was not very welcoming. They had their kitchen set up in the front of the restaurant which I thought was very unusual. I didn't even know they have seating in the back. The waitress let me go look. The back of the restaurant had about 5-6 tables. It was a bit too dark for my taste so I wouldn't be into sitting down to eat here. I ordered a Seafood Tonkotsu Ramen, Karaage and Chicken wonton ramen. The total came out to a little over $68. Very expensive but it made my mom and brother happy which was all that matters. They had a menu advertising first order 50% off on their app but it doesn't work and the workers knew that yet didn't bother to remove those menus. Bummer. All in all, I would come back to order take out but only once in a while since it was very expensive.

Every single dip was so delicious I wanted to take some home. The layers of flavor were amazing, and it was impossible to stop eating it with the freshly baked pita! The Yellowtail was rather ordinary. Although it contained a lot of spices, the fishy taste was still noticeable, so I wouldn't recommend it. The other dishes--North African eggs, steak, and Brussels sprouts--were just okay. The biggest surprise was the dessert--Lemon Frozen Yogurt! It was so delicious I wanted another serving!! The acidity was just right, refreshing without being too sweet. A bite after the meal was incredibly soothing. I must say, Mediterranean people really know how to make yogurt; they can make even a simple frozen yogurt look amazing.

We had a reservation for 5 initially so we're seated at a large round table near the bar. The staff gave me a nice card congratulating me on my engagement as well. It was quite cold inside all of our meal but that didn't stop us from getting cocktails. We ordered an espresso martini, a spritz and a Field Trip I believe. All good but the espresso martini was a little lackluster. We mainly shared food starting with 3 Dressed Big Rock Oysters. While the presentation was beautiful, they were a little too dressed for me. The Zou Zou's Dip Tower, however, was fabulous. Every dip was unique and delicious and had us consistently rotating between all of them. The bread that came with it was so fresh and warm and the crudo was good to use as dip vessels as well. Finally, we ended by sharing The Zou Burger and Roasted Brussels Sprouts. While it was good, the waiter forgot to remove the sumac onions like we had asked. We also had to wait long periods between being helped and the waiter didn't seem to really be that familiar with the menu when we asked questions about what we ordered. A stunning place with really good food, but for the caliber of restaurant, we shouldn't have to ask the bartender for refills or our check.

I had the classic Tonkatsu Ramen, with an egg - The pork ws seared and still so tender! The broth was very flavorful. My husband has a salmon rice bowl, and he loved it. He said the fish was cooked perfectly! We started with veggie gyoza, and they do them in a very interesting way. Very flat and all fried together. We were surprised when they brought them, but they were awesome! we were. fan of this style almost immediately! The waiter gently recommended the pork gyoza (his preference) but not everyone at the table eats meat, so we stayed with the vegetable. It also smelled heavenly. We decided to keep the good vibes going after the most fun night - BTS concert - since this was near our hotel, we got in line around 11:30pm? They're open until super late. Didn't even spend that long in line to be honest, or maybe I just didn't mind the wait? When you get closer to the front, the line splits into two - not sure what the system is logically but it does help with ordering faster. We got one platter for 2 people - Mixed Platter which includes rice, lamb, chicken, and a slice of pita. You also have the option to pile on some crispy french fries (why would you reject fries) and get a drizzle of various sauces. I very intelligently opted for the hot sauce on the side, and was so grateful for that because it does pack a punch! Gosh, this was so delicious. SEASONED, and everything on the plate mixed together so well in one bite. Also an excellent portion that would definitely last you at least 2-3 meals if you got it for one person. I'm for sure going back next time I'm in Manhattan.
