I came in a large group, and we were able to try a bunch of food, and everything was great. - The crab cakes were amazing, especially when paired with their slightly tangy aioli. - The green curry mussels had great flavor, and I loved dipping the bread in the sauce. - The seafood paella was stellar, and both the hot and cold lobster rolls were among the best I've ever had. - The fried scallops were surprisingly great. I've never had anything like that before, but they were crispy on the outside and nice and tender on the inside. - The raw oysters and ceviche were also very good. My only complaint is that this place is quite expensive, but you do get what you pay for in terms of quality, and the portion size was decent. Our waiter was very friendly, and the ambiance inside was very nice, although it is a little tight.
Fresh fresh fresh Had a awesome experience at this restaurant. On a beautiful sunny sat outside and was helped by their wonderful waitstaff. First was the oysters delicious amd plump. I love seafood and my friends were hyping this spot so I wanted to try as much as I could So I also tried the shrimp tostada l, grilled shrimp, razor claims, crab cakes, my favorite that octopus salad! Everything was flavorful, fresh, and delicious. My friends said I should of tried the lobster roll, maybe next time . I will definitely return
Came here for a solo lunch and sat at the bar, I like that its an open kitchen. I came right at opening and was seated right away. I recommend getting their lobster roll and razor clams (not on menu). I would definitely come back for oysters
Definitely a place to go for seafood! Not sure if I'd return for pasta (was not el dente and a bit overcooked), but this is definitely a place to go to for clams, oysters, lobster rolls, and fish and chips. It's a very cozy restaurant with a separate store front to purchase raw seafood. There's perhaps about 6-10 bar seats, and maybe 7 tables tops. The lobster rolls and fish and chips were executed extremely well, and we even got to watch our food being freshly cooked/prepared in front of us. Definitely will return!
Super cute place really quaint great for a date night clean food oysters were good. Beers were good. Definitely a fun place. That ambience is great. The service was super super fast and it's just a cute little pop in place.

Really wanted the spicy salmon burger but they were sold out. On my list to try is their pot pie made with their fish of the day. Signs of a good place when a pot pie order will take 30min plus (made to order and made fresh). Only thing missing would be if this place also had a full bar. Beer, wine and soft drinks are a plenty. For a wintry Sunday night was happy to make it in here.
After a long hiatus I return to the local lobster roll spot. Now it's functioning as a full service restaurant, taking reservations and has outdoor seating. What a step up from the fish market seating of years ago! Lobster roll with fries 40$... standard lobster roll pricing throughout NYC GIVE OR TAKE A DOLLAR ... and definitely worth it since it's within walking distance. I had the buttered lobster roll... minus a star for the room temp of the lobster... I would have preferred it hot with butter as it's usually served elsewhere. However the buttered toasted roll was superb!!! Light crisp, buttery and not too heavy. Also double tuna burger with salad 28$ was a hit, amazing aioli type dressing and salad as an option. Also well prepared served on brioche and a perfect summer afternoon treat! Expansive seafood menu and can see this in my summer rotation... if you love seafood definitely worth a travel to try! Server was polite, attentive and described the specials well...
When I think seafood, I think Greenpoint Fish & Lobster. This place is truly a Greenpoint institution for happy hour, oysters, and amazingly fresh seafood. My go to's here are the oysters, shrimp cocktail, fried scallops (off menu) and the tuna burger. The seafood is always fresh and they have happy hour every day until 6pm which includes $2 oysters and beer/wine specials. The best time to go is in the warmer months where they have several tables outside.
Put our names in at 7:40 PM on a Friday for 2 people and were seated at 8:50 PM. (We were quoted 30 mins, but lol what can ya do). Got a drink and snack at Ask for Janice while we waited (highly recommended). The east coast oysters were amazing, which made up for the wait. Also loved the fish sandwich. Seated razor clams (special) and small Caesar salad rounded out the meal. Will be back for oyster HH and/or with a reservation!
This place is so lovely. When you walk in it's a fish market, then you see the open kitchen and seating area. They greeted us when we walked in, w head no reservations but were seated immediately luckily it wasn't a busy time. We order the lobster rolls Lobster bisque Clam chowder We order a lobster roll with fries and one with salad. The side were great, fresh cut fries are my favorite. Side salad came with a tasty vinaigrette. Lobster roll was packed with well lobster. Crispy toasted roll, very buttery. Honestly the best lobster roll. Lobster bisque was lovely, had some cinnamon & other spices in it, which added a depth of flavor I never realized lobster bisque needed. Truly unlike anything I've ever had before. Clam chowder was just ok.

One of my absolute favorite seafood spots in New York I honestly love this place it's become a go-to for me and my girlfriend. We came by on a Friday around 5 p.m. and tried all the specials for the day, plus some oysters. Everything was incredible. The seafood here always tastes super fresh and flavorful you can tell they really care about the quality and taste of their dishes. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the service is always on point, and the area itself is great to walk around before or after your meal. This spot never disappoints. Highly recommend! 5/5

What a great seafood restaurant! Greenpoint Fish & Lobster has a fresh seafood counter to purchase items as well as a full restaurant. Be sure to make a reservation, as this spot is popular, especially on a nice weekend. We recently had a weekend brunch at one of the tables outside. Everything on the menu sounded good, but we decided on a couple of their specials. Started with the razor clams, which were cooked perfectly and topped with fresh herbs. We also had the fried soft shell crab sandwich with the side of Caesar salad. The sandwich was well balanced with the crunchy crab and herby aioli. The Caesar was light and refreshing. The fish and chips came with two fried filets of white fish and a basket of classic fries. The fish was lightly battered and flakey. The house made tartar sauce was a good complement to it. One of my top meals this year so far! Perfect summer meal! read more
Came by on a Tuesday for happy hour, which appears to be weekdays from 4-6pm. There's ample seating outdoor and few tables inside, as well as the bar countertop. Their HH deals are pretty solid -- $2 East Coast Oysters, $10 select wines and $6 beer special. Grabbed a glass of Sauvignon Blanc as I waited for my friend to arrive, which they were very patient and accommodating for. As soon as my friend arrived, we ordered a 1/2 dozen West Coast oysters, which were not on the happy hour menu, and several dozens of the HH East Coast oysters. Our server did an excellent job explaining the origin of the oysters as well as the specials of the day. The West Coast oysters were Kumamoto (California), while the East Coast selection were called Bad Boys (from Nova Scotia, Canada). Normally I'm a big fan of West coast oysters, but the Bad Boys were delicious! They were plump with a bold ocean brine & crisp finish. My friend also ordered a cup of clam chowder, which he thoroughly enjoyed. One of the best oyster HH spots I've come across, because it seems to be harder finding good ones lately. Would definitely come back to try the other seafood dishes. read more
I'm so torn about this review. The food was pretty good but the full experience truly lacked I wish I could give another half a star. Going to Greenpoint Fish and Lobster on a weekend is truly a mission. If you don't have a reservation chances are you'll be waiting around for a long time. They estimated 30min wait and it turned out to be over an hour. We were ready to walk away 3 times but ended up sticking around as we were promised we were third on the list meanwhile more than 3 parties were seated before us (strange!). Once we were seated, we ordered right away having had time to look at the menu while waiting. Crudo, dozen of oysters, clam chowder + lobster roll. - Crudo was a bit sad with 6 pieces of fish lying on a big plate with an insane amount of salt flakes. It was fresh but don't think it's worth ordering. - East coast oysters were puny. Very mid especially because I've recently tried some at Upstate that were amazing. They're incomparable. - Lobster roll. Okay should've just gone straight for the roll because it was perfect. Buttery and fresh with perfect balance of lobster roll bread. The salad dressing also was delicious. So good! Definitely highlight of this restaurant. - Clam chowder. Also 10/10. Hearty, flavorful. Loved every bite of it. Service was average. They weren't profoundly interested in giving best service instead just chatting amongst each other and dropping off plates. Also they forgot about the clam chowder we ordered and asked if we still want it.. YES..that's why we ordered it. Overall if you don't pay attention to those details it's worth coming for some great seafood. BUT I highly recommend getting a reservation. read more

Absolutely love this spot. Upon walking in I saw a small fresh market with 2 lovely workers . The reso itself is rather small but they do have plenty of counter and outside space. I got the fish sando w/fries Togo and let's just say I almost ate the box it came in. Fish was fried perfectly with all the sauces, and potatoes were fresh as well. read more

Greenpoint Fish & Lobster have long been on my radar. I was meeting friends for dinner and we decided to meet here. The dining room is tiny and that's one of the negatives of the spot. It's not really conducive for a leisurely and lingering dinner with friends. On the other hand the food was very good. Excellent quality and very delicious even though it's a bit on the pricey side. I'd say 3.5 stars. If they got a bigger space and it was a more comfortable experience I'd round up to 4. read more

Had an amazing dining experience at Greenpoint Fish & Lobster! From start to finish, everything was spot-on -- the casual, laid-back vibe paired perfectly with the incredibly fresh seafood. The oysters were absolutely the highlight for me -- so fresh, briny, and perfectly shucked. You can really taste the quality, and it's clear they take a lot of pride in what they serve. I also loved how knowledgeable and friendly the staff were; they made some great recommendations that did not disappoint. read more

Absolutely delicious! 4 of us walked in (after putting names on the waitlist) on a Saturday at lunchtime and were seated right away outside. We were on a bit of a time crunch but service and food came quickly! Everything was fresh and delicious. The lobster meat in the lobster roll was absolutely perfect. Loved the $2 oyster special, too! Cute inside but small, so the outdoor seating was perfect. I do wish they had cocktails (maybe even canned options?) but otherwise everything was wonderful! read more

Love the midday happy hour deal here! For $2 each you get high quality oysters, incredibly flavorful and more fresh than most other oyster happy hours. Seating is a bit tight but in the summer they open up the patio which has a chill vibe and a great place to relax with a few drinks and seafood. Service is pretty decent and they have a surprisingly nice restroom too. read more
You must get the scallop! It's so fresh - just add a squeeze of lemon and the chives that are hiding under the roe. The roe is the star of the show - it is lightly seared so there is a chew but the inside just melts in your mouth. I would come back just for this scallop dish. The oysters are fun to try and freshly shucked to order! They rotate the type of oysters - we were lucky and got to try the "fat bastard" oysters which was plump and juicy. The front of the store is a market and the back has some small tables and a bar for dining. It is nothing fancy but the food is fresh. read more

Currently dreaming about their fish tacos topped with cholula and everything else that I ate there. Food was fresh. Staff was amazing. Walked right in around 3pm on a weekday so there was no wait time for the table and even if there is a wait in the future, I'd definitely stick around for this food. Sooo good! read more
The lobster rolls here compare to Boston!!! The lobster was so fresh and juicy and they served a ton on the roll - get it with butter so the taste of the lobster shines through. Thought the fish tacos with fried fish were even better!! Really liked the food but service was so slow and the waiters were rude even though it was 2:30 pm on a Friday.... read more

This is easily my new favorite lobster roll in NYC! Came here on a Saturday night - I would recommend making a reservation as tables are limited and there was a line when we left around 7pm. Inside has a few tables with a really nice space, but the majority of their seating is outdoors. Service was quick and attentive! We ordered lobster rolls (mine was with mayo and friends was with butter) and a shrimp cocktail to start. The shrimp cocktail was well priced and very fresh. I loved the touch of a bit of olive oil and salt! The lobster roll was overflowing with fresh plump lobster meat and I loved that the mayo one was not overdone with mayo, it was super light. Side pickle was perfectly crisp! My only complaint is that I wish the fries were more crispy, but other than that it was an awesome dinner! read more
The food was delicious and fairly quick! I had a craving for lobster and clam chowder, and this spot in Brooklyn really hit the mark for a seafood fix. The fish tacos and clam chowder were bursting with flavor--so satisfying. The bread that came with the lobster was a bit soggy and lacked taste, and at a whopping $35, I'm not sure it was worth it, though it did satisfy my craving. We ended the meal with a key lime pie that was simply divine!!! The service was fairly quick & smooth. read more

Got to visit this great spot the other night and I was highly impressed. I loved the ambiance of the inside area and I was seated within minutes. The wine list isn't huge, but they have some great options that pair well with the food. I'd recommend the Spicy Salmon Burger - super good with the right amount of spice! read more
sat outside at a little table that was pretty awkward. It really wasn't big enough and it was not stable . Our water spilled on us and it was just a little annoying. The place is very busy and the service is very, very good. I did not love the lobster bisque. I did love the razor clams special they had. The oysters were delicious. They definitely do not give you enough cocktail sauce, but we're very accommodating when I asked for more. The crudo was good but i'm not sure it's worth the price for what you get. The mussels are yummy. a bit spicy for me, but i can't handle any spice. lol. I would go back and sit inside. read more

This seafood spot is top tier!! It's my new favorite spot to grab seafood and some wine, the happy hour is perfection. We got the east coast oysters, some of the best I've ever had. The green curry mussels changed my life the broth was sooo yummy I wanted to drink it. The baby scallops were also incredible and perfectly cooked. Couldn't have asked for a better meal! They even had my fav Spanish sauvignon blanc and gave us their key lime pie on the house. The service, atmosphere, and food are amazing don't hesitate to try this gem in Greenpoint! read more
