    Whiting fish and fries

Small, cramped but busy store! They sell fresh fish, shrimp, scallops and I think I spied frozen lobster tail in one of the freezer chests! Ordering is confusing, butbthe choices are many and the prices are WOW. Fish and chips:2 Whiting fillets and french fries aka "chips"=$4.99. #5 combo;2 whiting fillets 2 shrimps, 2 scallops, potato wedges, and fries=$6.50 plus a free can of pop! Amazing prices and the portions are large.it's a quick walk from where we were staying. And its first Griday of Lent. They were busy at 3;30pm. Cant imagine how mush busier they would be around dinner time!

They just re-opened on May 4th after closing for a period of time due to COVID19. The place was clean when I walked in. Just started cooking food again on May 6th. They offered fried and steam food options. You can pick your seafood and vegetables that are cooked.

    Fresh fish!

Hot. Fresh. Delicious. Made to order. One of my new favorite spots. Fish and chips are ridiculously cheap!

Love this place. It's only take out food but everything is cheap and delicious, plus the staff is quick and very helpful.

I've only had food from Puerto Plata once and it was to go. I had to wait over 4 hours to eat it…read morebecause we had it catered for a Poconos outing. That was a year ago and the food remains on my mind. The service is perfect Beverly and the other waitresses came over to check on us often. We drank. We laughed and oh boy did we eat. I had the chicken chunks fried with bone w/ tostones and a side of garlic sauce. I stole a shrimp off one plate and a corn from another, finally a spoon of mash and I was spent. At the end of the night Rey came over with a hookah and it was perfect! We danced in our seats and at the end of the night we made sure to thank everyone for a wonderful evening. The food was delicious. The drinks were boss! If you want seafood you have to go next door and order then bring it to your seat. They call you when it's ready to be picked up. We didn't mind that at all. It was worth it. Every thing is made with love. Please go it really feels like a homely spot. You won't be sorry - promise

A deep dish aluminum pan filled with shrimp, lobster tails, corn and potatoes was good NOT great. The seafood was a tad bit bland. The shrimps were large but a bit undercooked for my liking. I ordered some sort of side sauce but that was also lacking. It didn't taste like anything- no spice, no buttery flavors. Nothing. Big plus was the amount of food that you get for your money. I would get food from Puerto Plata but in person. I believe that if I'm present to tell the cook just how I want my food seasoned and prepared, I'll have a greater taste experience.

It looks like you're in a cozy kitchen that's fully stocked with insanely fresh seafood and delicious meals. I read that this was the best place to get seafood and decided I needed to trek to their market and try it. The staff are all kind, can answer any questions you can imagine, and are very patient. You can tell the people working there are passionate about customer service and knowledgeable about seafood. I picked up some salmon for my family, knew nothing about the right cut or type I wanted and left with quite literally the most delicious seafood meal I've ever eaten. I would trust this fish market with seafood for the rest of my life. I was also not a fan of muscles before I tried these. Life changing. I needed to order a ton so my family could try them as well. They were fresh and super meaty- not a bad price either! The corn was a really cool concept- I loved how you can add your own seasoning. Their bay seasoning was fantastic. My favorite had to be the salmon and the sweet potato. So tender and juicy and flavorful. Seriously need to come back here and try more of their seafood options. The food is super colorful, the space is clean, and the seafood is fresh.
