Service was very friendly we were able to just walk in with it reservation for an early dinner. Other than the fighting couple beside us, we enjoyed the ambiance. We shared the Nozawa Trust Me and that was plenty for 2 people to share without leaving extremely full. My favorite pieces were the yellowtail, toro hand roll, and the specialities bites we ordered.

My favorite sushi restaurant in New York! We went for lunch on Friday at noon and it was pretty empty which was nice because everything came out so quickly. Always get the Trust me!!

One piece of a five course meal...

Absolutely the best sushi ever I've ever had. And that saying something. Were their horrible meals, for $76, and it is the most nice watering sushi from the sashimi, rice meal I've ever had..

i got the trust me set and was super disappointed. i left sugarfish feeling full but the sushi was just not good... my favorite item in the entire set was probably the edamame which i think speaks volumes. the fish tastes rubbery and the nigiri fell apart so easily when i went to pick it up. literally the rice crumbled before my very eyes with every other dish. top it off, they don't taste apple pay which is on me for assuming. the server was nice about it and let me leave my phone behind to grab my wallet from my office but the lack of mobile pay is just really surprising for such an establishment, especially when other locations in the city do have that option. wayyy overhyped and you can get better sushi elsewhere in williamsburg

I'm mostly familiar with the sugarfishes in Los Angeles but was thrilled to be able to visit in Brooklyn. Lived up to the memory.

I used to love Sugarfish but then they raised their prices and decreased the portions and now it's more of a factory that doesn't really care about the customer experience. They have expanded and have so many locations that they are spreading themselves too thin. The fish quality is always good so three stars for a solid sushi lunch in Brooklyn with my daughter last week. It's always enjoyable to see her and she likes Sugarfish so we indulged hers

We walked in on a Friday evening and it was very busy. We put our name down and walked around the neighborhood. There is a decent amount of waiting space in the restaurant too. We ended up waiting longer than the waitress told us but were glad that we were able to sit and wait inside. The ambiance was dark and service was friendly. There were 2 restrooms and separate soaps to use before and after eating. My friend and I both ordered the Nozawa Trust Me which was the right amount of food. The quality of the fish is okay and the price is reasonsable considering it is a no tipping restaurant. In order from my favorite to least favorite: Toro Hand Roll Bluefin Otoro Sushi Salmon Sushi Japanese Yellowtail Sushi Blue & Dungeness Crab Hand Roll Tuna Sashimi Albacore Sushi Sea Bass Sushi New Zealand Sea Bream

went on a Saturday evening around 7pm and barely waited 10 minutes for a table. When you are a party of two it's really easy to get seating at places that dont do reservations- especially on a rainy day! the inside is dim light and no music which is good because it allows for us to have conversations without having to scream over music and other table conversations. plus i always love a dimly lit dinner - creates a cool environment We ordered the Trust Me and Nozawa Trust Me. Everything came our super fast and well prepared. For the pricepoint the quality is very delicious - and theyre rice is super delicious. I do have to note that the rice isnt packed like normal omakase so its really easy for it to falll out. everytime i tried dipping in soy sauce i would drop a ton of rice into my soy sauce bowl BUT otherwise seriously this spot is super good to satisfy a sushi craving and not break the bank. def recommend to come for a solid sushi dinner!!

Sugarfish in Williamsburg is amazing for sushi. There's an option that's like omakase, but served at your table. I'd heard about it before and should have tried it sooner. The sushi is very fresh, way above other spots in the same price range. Service was quick and friendly, and the dining environment was perfect. I absolutely cannot wait to come back

Whenever I go to LA my first dining spot is always SUGARFISH. They have unparalleled quality fish and perfectly prepared omakase bites. If you are into California rolls this place isn't for you - go outside the box and taste perfectly prepared pieces well worth the price point. They don't take reservations so I suggest going on opening or off hours.

Just stopping by to update my review! This is now the 4th time i've been to this location, and i'm SO happy that everything was as I remember and KNOW this place to be. Service was exceptional, fish was buttery melt in your mouth delicious and everything was just on point. The last time we had a little blip but everything has been resolved, thank you endlessly to the RM and the AM along with the staff for making our return so welcoming. Came to celebrate my boyfriend and couldn't have asked for a better experience and better quality fish. Can't wait to keep frequenting sugarfish as it has always been our go-to whenever we want sushi

Great addition to the area! My boyfriend and I stopped in for a speedy hand roll dinner and were able to walk in. We grabbed seats at the counter in the back and tried the blue crab hand roll, toro hand roll and scallop hand roll. The scallop was my favorite, followed by the blue crab. Toro was solid, too.

Wow. Me and my friends came here (some returning some first time) and we were all so satisfied with the quality and taste of everything. I'm very picky about raw sushi and I hate when there is even the slightest fishy taste. On their menu it states sushi should never be fishy, so I immediately knew I was going to love this place. I love this place so much that I would literally clean dishes in the back for 12 hours if they paid me in their sushi every day. Just wow. The only negative is that it's a no tip restaurant and you can tell the staff doesn't care much about you and they roll their eyes when you want to order more or need them for anything. This aspect brought the experience down a notch but I quickly forgot about it when I was eating because the food is that good. I recommend getting the Nozawa Trust Me because the cuts of fish aren't the biggest.

Literally can walk to this place and I will do so more often…read more Great playlist Great vibes and even better hospitality (shoutout to Angelic (I believe that's her name, manager) for consistently checking up on us and hitting us with the extra top tier service.) The food... -waygu steak : cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. Huge fan of the mushooms that accompanied the steak and could of easily been a dish in itself -shrimp tempura roll was decent but nothing mind blowing. -miso ceasar salad was savory and creamy. Everything you want in an exceptional salad. -karrage fried chicken PERFECTION, we ordered another for the table. I wanted to lick the spicy mayo out of the bowl but didn't want to embarrass myself. -koruto cheesecake served with black sesame ice cream, the combo was heavenly. Cheesecake wasn't too sweet with the semi savory sesame ice cream was the perfect bite. Had a few drinks -A5 which had a waygu infused bourbon miso almond and blue cheese. Savory with a hint of sweetness and went down smoothing -fujiko Martini...think of Coquito but elevated with a hint of coffee. If you havent already pulled up to this neighborhood gem do so NEOW.

While wandering through Bed-Stuy on a weekday evening, my husband and I decided to try out this new…read moresushi spot. It wasn't terrible--but I had a lot of mixed feelings. Food: 3/5 I'm a huge sushi fan, so I was excited when I saw a deluxe sashimi set on the menu. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark. The scallop was thinly sliced and lacked the rich texture I was hoping for. The salmon and other cuts were decent, but short and oddly shaped--chunky yet small, which made the whole presentation feel a bit off for something labeled deluxe. We also tried to branch out and ordered the short rib entree. For $21, it was shockingly small--definitely a single-person portion, not sharable. I added extra ikura to a salmon donburi bowl for $2, but it was barely a teaspoon's worth--just enough to say it was there. Oddly, the salmon slices in that bowl were thinner than the sashimi we had just eaten, and overall, it left me still hungry even after sharing a maki roll. Lastly, my husband ordered a green salad, which somehow took the entire meal service to arrive. When it finally came, it was just plain romaine, cucumbers, radish, and dressing. For a dinner that clocked in at over $150 (after tip), we definitely left underwhelmed. Service: 3/5 This part wasn't bad, just confusing. We were seated quickly, but the pacing of the meal was strange. Our seaweed salad and soups came out promptly, but the green salad came last, after the hot dishes and nearly after my husband finished eating. Also, a small thing--but when I'm paying $16 for four oysters, I want to know what kind they are. The menu just said "West Coast oysters," but our server couldn't tell us the variety or origin. Not a huge deal, but it added to a general lack of polish that didn't quite match the pricing. I don't think I'd return. For the price, there are better sushi options in Brooklyn with higher quality, better portions, and clearer service. Still, I appreciate new spots opening up in the neighborhood, and I'm always happy to try something new. Hopefully they refine the menu and service with time.

This fit the bill exactly. We started with the salmon belly carpaccio which I'd say isn't really a carpaccio because the salmon isn't sliced as thinly as you'd expect. But! I mention that just to set expectations. Nomenclature aside, it's an excellent appetizer. Served in a truffle and ponzu sauce, the salmon is lightly seared which yields two different textures to the fish. It practically melts in your mouth. Highly recommend this dish. For my entree I went with the trio don, which is 6 pieces of sashimi served over your choice of plain or sushi rice (sushi rice for me). The fish was fresh and flavorful. The portion was perfect for me. My boyfriend ordered a yellowtail roll and enjoyed that as well. We also shared a carafe of the cold house sake. I'd definitely come back and try more items on the menu. It's great for sharing and trying new dishes. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the prices were very reasonable.

Lots of people came in and out for takeout orders so that seems to be more of the target audience. Service was quick and polite, we were there until 9:30 and they definitely seemed ready for us to be out of there before the 10PM closing time. As for the specialty rolls, there were some pretty creative options - don't shy away from seemingly odd combinations because the flavors really do work well together. I appreciated the rice:fish ratio on all the rolls, the rice was a thin layer letting the flavor of the other ingredients really come through. The plain spicy tuna roll on the other hand was filled with spicy tuna mixed with something crunchy - maybe puffed rice? It seemed to be an unnecessary filler, I would have preferred just fish. I enjoyed the Lovers Dream and Golden Sunset roll the most. While I was debating it while ordering, in hindsight I would definitely get two rolls per person, maybe more if you're really hungry.
