5 stars- I had a great experience sitting at the bar inside. Last time it was summer and sat outdoors. Sanny our sushi chef made the experience extremely memorable. He was very friendly, made us feel special and explained the preparation of each dish. On Sundays they have some specials which include $5 hand rolls and drink specials. All the dishes were super fresh and Awesome!! We had several of the hand rolls including a few blue claw crab rolls, lobster rolls, spicy tuna rolls and scallop rolls. We were also treated to the Chu toro Nigiri and the salmon crispy rice. We ordered half spicy tuna and lobster crispy rice. We also had a bowl of edamame and the tuna mushroom chips. Really nice presentation and everyone was great in terms of customer service. The restaurant is beautiful decorated, has a chic vibe and offers a great beverage menu. You cannot go wrong, and I highly recommend them. I'm sure the other sushi chefs are great but ask for Sanny!

The fish here was quite delicious. It was fresh and had a buttery, rich texture. Their twists on the nigiri are well crafted to elevate the taste but also subtle enough to not distract from the flavor of the fish. Every piece of nigiri that I got was very enjoyable as well as the waygu. The crab hand roll was a popular item but honestly not that impressive. It sort of reminded me of a tuna and mayo deli sandwich, but still good flavor. The staff here were really friendly and accommodating. It is a countertop only restaurant which is nice since you get to see them make the rolls. A rather simple space though with not too much ambiance.

I came here with my coworkers and we had an amazing time. The food was delicious and we kept placing order after order, and it was quick to come out. All the servers were quite friendly and happy. The menu is simple and not overwhelming, and the place is very cute. I was able to hear my coworkers and was not drowned out by music as that one is one of my pet peeves. Great job Bondi sushi.

went this past sunday & got there $5 hand roll special & a lychee martini. the handrolls ordered were lobster & yuzu, yellowtail scallion, hot & spicy blue crab, & toro scallion. the hot & spicy blue crab is a must! i also appreciated that the lychee martini came with fresh lychees, it was so fresh & sweet. definitely will be back again for this special!

came here for a handroll making class. i thought the fish quality was good but not mind blowing. my friend got a piece of bone (???) in her slice. the service was friendly and ambiance not bad. the class was likely for people who never touched sushi/handrolls in their life so i felt a bit out of place for sure. anyways decent place

Absolutely love bondi as well as this location in Williamsburg. The staff is very friendly and attentive and the ambiance is gorgeous. The happy hour deal is hard to beat with $5 hand rolls that include lobster and crab and they have now also expanded the offers from my last visit to include crispy rice more variety of hand rolls as well as more cocktails such as the honeydew! This is well worth the price and we tried the creme brûlée for dessert and it was tangy and sweet! Of course I will stop by again!

$5 handrolls all day Sunday. Amazing deal. Ricee portions are small, but the fish portion is not. Amazing quality and deal!!!

Yes yes yessss! Honestly such a good neighborhood joint. Top quality. Chef is so nice and quick. $5 handroll on the HH 2-6. Wagyu only $14 and the best I've ever had.

Closer to 4.5 stars. Stopped by for takeout, which is around the back of the restaurant. Got the unagi bowl and the $5 lobster maki roll special. The quality is really good, loved the pickles in the bowl. The portion is not too big and it's a bit on the pricier side when you compare to other takeout places but the quality is definitely there. The restaurant had good vibes and looked really cute. I also liked the packaging of the takeout. I'll be returning to try their omakase!

I enjoyed my experience at Bondi Sushi! The restaurant only has bar seating and the service is very friendly. I highly suggest the crispy rice with Spicy Tuna & Salmon - so good! Slightly disappointed with the hand rolls, but everything else was very nice!

I was happy to finally enter this location to try the food. Although the food was okay and looked fresh it was super small and pricey. The service was good they were attentive and explained the food options they had. The ambiance was okay it was empty when we went, we were the only ones in the location. The prices are too expensive for what we got. 60+ for two drinks, a small appetizer and small hand rolls.

The menu is pretty diverse with various appetizers, sushi, and also ramen/curry so your standard izakaya fare. One of my favorite dishes here has been the chirashi. The fish was very fresh and it's pretty affordable. I've only ever been here in groups of two and I probably would recommend it for smaller groups because the space itself is small and most of the tables are two-seaters if I recall correctly.

It's been open for a few years, so clearly it has a good enough formula to keep the neighborhood happy. I have been here once before, but returned last week after dining several meals at Tomoni in Jackson Heights. Apparently, the owners are friends. Nonetheless, I needed to make the comparison. After my first few bites of their Tora Don and Chirashi Don, it was clear that this restaurant has the better quality seafood. Each slice of sashimi had vibrant colors, clean taste, and the proper texture. Tomoni is not bad, but fall slightly short of this caliber. With that said, there is an even farther gap between their rice quality. Though Tora is very good, Tomoni produces nearly perfect texture and acidity for my taste buds. Other than the best omakase restaurants in NYC, Tomoni shines as one of the best versions of sushi rice in the five boroughs. Service is good and space is cute. If I have a craving for some decent Japanese food, I would drive 20 minutes here for a meal anytime.

He ordered the Honey roasted duck ramen and I ordered the spicy salmon miso ramen. Before our ramen came out, we ordered our drinks which were a Thai Iced Tea (can't go wrong with that) and he ordered the Lychee Iced Tea. For apps we had the Veggie Spring Rolls and the Edamame which were so crunchy with just the right touch of salt. We may have visited on a slower day since it was raining, but I can tell that it is a popular eatery and can get busy and packed. We lucked out and were seated immediately and didn't wait long for our food. The server kept refilling our water glasses which was much appreciated. I thought my cup was half full and i'd look up and all of a sudden theres even more water poured. Overall it was a cute restaurant and would be perfect for a lunch. I don't know how to describe it quite, beyond that everyone at the table agreed the food was delicious to the point of being nutricious to the soul. We got the katsu don, yakiniku don, and chicken katsu curry. We shared and they all had unique, amazing flavor. They were even able to accomodate my friend's request that the chicken katsu be made with dark meat! The service was fantastic. The cocktails were incredibly balanced and a real treat with the meal. Also one of the BEST broths I have had in New York. It is comparable to some in Japan with how good that beef broth is. The chicken broth is excellent as well and worked since my friend has a dietary restriction. Sadly could not try the karaage since they sold out! Get it if you can. Food (5/5): probably some of the best ramen you can get in Brooklyn! You take a sip and it has so much rich flavor you can tell they took a long time to cook it. Just the right amount of salt that leads to explosive umami flavor with everything else included. Only downside is that the egg is an additional 2-3 dollars boosting the ramen price to 20 per bowl. Other than that, it's a great bowl of ramen I will be going again. I heard the steak was good from my friends but we got the okanomiyaki, it's pretty big, delicious, but only get it if you are a large fan of them. It's pretty pricey for what it is. Cucumber salad was delicious and fresh, nice hit of spiciness. Service (4.5/5): The person helping us is super nice, though there is a language barrier and that might cause some misunderstandings. I only brought it down half a point because you aren't going to get that understanding but they are very nice and try their best. Nothing wrong but it does get busy and you might have to call them for refills or other issues. The chefs are also very friendly. Cleanliness and interior (5/5): you can tell it's rather small, but modern and chic. Great for a night out to eat as they are open late. Great casual dinner spot and has a fantastic Lofi jazzy playlist that adds to it. Combined with the unforgettable beef broth, and you have a night to remember. J's Parking Advice- it's pretty packed at night because there is a lot to do around. Parking garages are a little far off too but everything is walkable once you find a spot. There is a street parking but it's hard to find, you might have to park far and walk there or public transport. We did take around 10-20 mins to find parking. So good luck! Overall: it's a spot I have to go back to especially since they sold out of the karaage! If that doesn't tell you how good it is not sure what else! Definitely a local favorite and a hidden gem
