Great food. I ordered one vegan and one regular sushi and the chef personally came over to ask if I was aware of the regular - since everyone else at the table was vegan. So that was really thoughtful to realize and ask. The place is cute, and quite a large space. Very casual. Alcoholic and non alcoholic. Chili miso soup is a must

Pretty good, nothing out of the ordinary. Got the job done, I was satisfied! Clean place, comfy area, staff was nice!

Really love this spot. My boyfriend and I were looking for a cozy place to get ramen on a rainy night, and this popped up on yelp and google. As a lifelong vegetarian, I really loved all the options, as ramen places usually only have one veg option! And double points for a meat option for my bf. We got the veggie gyoza, a mocktail, a boba tea, a spicy vegan nugget ramen and a pork ramen, and everything was really tasty. I especially appreciated that the boba was made with nondairy milk!! The gyoza was perfectly fried and crispy and the ramen was flavorful and decorated beautifully. The ambience is really nice- warmly lit, cool decor and cozy! Service was fabulous, they're so friendly and welcoming. all in all, a top notch spot. we will definitely be back!

Amazing as usual, this chicken bun is great, I hope they keep it. The service and ambiance are always great and consistent,

@buntopia offers diverse menu and exclusive vegan option like vegan sushi to Asian-inspired meat dishes like Korean Fried Chicken Buns, Braised Chicken Massaman, Shrimpatation, Takoyaki Balls, Teriyaki, Ramen and many more. For vegans, their offerings redefine plant-based dining. They have beautiful Japanese Zen garden backyard dining space where you can enjoy your meal while sipping sake, soju and Asian cocktail.

I ordered delivery from here. I love that they have a plethora of vegetarian and vegan options! The tandoori potato tots were tasty. The tandoori flavor was subtle, but it's hard to go wrong with crispy, melt-in-your mouth potatoes. I also enjoyed the vegan golden nuggets. These were also quite crispy with a bit of seasoning, and tasted like classic chicken nuggets. I tried the oyster bay buns. They were a little messy to eat and some of the mushrooms were hard to chew. I loved the slight sweetness of the bun. Very filling and could be a meal on its own. The behind the hell ramen was also pretty good. The broth was a bit tangy. They provided a good portion size of noodles and the ingredients were flavorful. I wish they offered the option to add spicy paste and egg. Everything arrived hot and fresh.

OMG THIS PLACE. Perfect if you are craving for a really good vegan spot in NYC/ Brooklyn! You have to check out Buntopia. They serve colorful Asian-fusion dishes that are fully plant-based and incredibly satisfying. Everything we ordered looked amazing and somehow tasted even better. We tried the Starry Lovina, Jimbaran Sunset, Oyster Bay, Korean Fried Chicken Buns, Vegan Pad Krapow with Ex Yo-egg, Tom Yam Kai Ramen, Mango Tango, and Sunset Blvd, and honestly, there wasn't a single miss. Very well balanced, and super comforting. Definitely one of our favorite vegan spots in Brooklyn. Highly recommend if you're plant-based or just looking for great food.

This place was awesome. Very affordable We ended up getting two sushi rolls since they were so cheap but still tasted so fresh. The bao was also delicious. Super flavorful, awesome texture, fresh ingredients. Super cute on the inside too Will def go back if I'm in the area again!

Came here for dinner with my friend on a Saturday night. Staff members were really friendly and helpful. Interior is clean and decorated with fake floral arrangements. We ordered the Classic Guabao and Shrimpatation meal set. The sweet potato fries were really fresh and crispy. Overall a great dining experience, would come here again.

Buntopia is a pleasant surprise, a great find on Yelp! Ordered food for delivery! The food arrived quickly and hot! A win win in the delivery world! I love that they have Vegan options available in over 70% of their dishes. And they also have Gluten Free Dishes as well. Their menu highlights all of these items! Yay for catering to the different dietary restrictions. I ordered the Tandoori Potato Tots! YUM! There's something about these crispy tots that keep you going back for more! Rubbed with Exotic Indian Tandoori Masala, just makes these one of the most crave-able items on the menu. Be sure to get a couple orders because they're that good! I love a good Bulgogi Beef Rice Bowl! Bulgogi Shredded Beef, Kimchi, Mozzarella Cheese, Edamame Beans, Avocado, Baby Tomato, Pickled Carrot and Radish, Scallion. This was super flavorful and tasty! The Bulgogi Beef was perfectly cooked! I think the only weird part of this rice bowl was the mozzarella cheese! For some reason it just didn't go with all of the flavors in the bowl. I'd omit next time. I love cheese, but not on this bowl. This is a great go to spot to put in the rotation! Sushi, Ramen, Rice Bowls, and Bao buns, what more can you ask for in one spot! Don't sleep on Buntopia, their food is fire!

The quantity of sauce. I did my best to use them sparingly.

I dont know if this was an off day, how they do take out or just the quality they strive for. The sushi looked like scraps from uneaten plates of food and tasted as such. The "crispy" tempura was stale af. The fried rolls (harumaki) were soggy and sitting on rotting lettuce. The dumplings, although the only decent portion of the order, had chewy filling and didn't have much flavor. Seeing as they didn't provide much sauce (about 1/2tsp for the harumaki and gyozas), ginger (not that I'd want more the table scraps tasted foul) or wasabi (they added 1/16th tsp of something green but I didn't dare to venture more); I think they may be on their last leg. Because there is no other for stealing someone's money and serving them straight up dookie. Overall I'm mad this was the only affordable thing I could find. I was starving and had no other food available but I think I was better off sleeping my hunger away.

I adored this restaurant. So beautiful inside and in the backyard Brooklyn garden. We sat in the Japanese balcony room. Heated and all. We had all the glittery and sparkles colorful mocktails. All were good. 1. Sunny lovina 2. Matcha matsumi 3. Jambalaya Sunset We ordered the vegan sushi rolls. I loved these. I dont enjoy real sushi and I could eat these forever 1. Rajivn tiger (tempura peanuts and my favorite) 3. Mango tango (loved the fresh mango) 4. Over the rainbow (seaweed caviar) 5. Vegan pad krapow excellent. Slight hint of spice, beautiful and fun vegan egg yolk running over the rice and mixed with the dish perfectly. Hands down get this. 6. Vegan salmon lychee curry was great for people who dont like fishy fish tastes and love lychee in a sweet curry sauce 7. Bao mania a. Oster bay (yummy) b. Shrimpataion (yes) c. Korean fried chicken 8. Raspberry cheesecake (vegan) The artwork was beautiful and so meaningful. This restaurant showcases 9 years of loving his community.(Sean the owner) I'd go back again and again.

This place rocks! It's a casual vibe with 10/10 food! The chicken katsu was crispy (veggies were slightly lacking) and flavorful and the sushi was fresh Not to mention our server was really sweet.

It's quite busy but the turnover rate is quick. The restaurant is small but has a good amount of tables and counter seating. But I've got to say I am disappointed by my overall experience based on how popular this spot is. You order from a menu you can write on, which allows you to customize your ramen selections (noodle thickness, broth, add-ons, etc). I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with spicy added. While the broth is pretty good, I think the overall ramen is a bit lacking compared to other ramen spots. I did not realize the ramen did not come with any ingredients besides the chashu meat and some scallions sprinkled on top. So this spot really requires you to customize and add on toppings. Usually other ramen spots already have selection of toppings in each type of bowl. So overall, my ramen was pretty standard and nothing outstanding. I do appreciate that you can add half or full serving of extra noodles for $1-2 if you want more. Also, like others mentioned, Ramen Danbo received a C health code rating. I didn't see this until halfway through my meal, but I probably would not have ate here if I saw it beforehand. Quite appalling for a restaurant that doesn't even have an extensive menu. Overall, the service is okay... I can't say I had any particular issues BUT I just felt like all the servers gave off the vibe that they just hated their jobs or something. It was just the vibe I got but it could just be me.

My daughter and I loved our entire experience--everything from the food to the local neighborhood vibe to the incredibly friendly, attentive staff. Everything we ordered was fresh, cooked to perfection, and reasonably priced. We had the gyoza, edamame, Hamachi Lover, Ebi Shu Mai, and the $15 Beef Set (three beef skewers), accompanied by hot tea and Ramune. The beef skewers were a highlight--tender meat with seasoning that was spot-on. Warm, welcoming, prompt, and super efficient. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating, and our waiter was extremely helpful in guiding us through the menu. Top-tier service all around. The space is small and cozy with a simple, comfortable design. Seating is a bit tight and close to neighboring tables, but there's nothing wrong with being snug, rght? The tonkotsu and miso ramens were good, but not particularly notable. Kyuramen is a chain after all, so the food quality gives that same vibe as comforting when you're just craving some. Second: Got the yakitori platter, beef ramen (seasonal) and curry ramen and I'd personally pass on all of them. Their meats are over cooked which makes them tough. Both times the service was fine, I appreciate the call button so both don't have to wait for awkward timing issues. I do like the aesthetic of the place, especially with the privacy of the room shades/dividers. p.s. don't forget their slurp and win program! Our set included roasted cod, white rice, miso soup, tamagoyaki, tsukemono, and seasoned vegetables. Every single item tasted fresh and well-balanced. Between the quiet setting and the quality of the cooking, it was a standout morning.

Came here a long time ago bc I heard how good their sushi sets are. If you are a sushi lover and…read morewant something homey you will definitely like Okonomi. It's nonfussy, and although not the cheapest sushi, it's definitely not super expensive/omakase level. It's a small space with a giant bar for seating and maybe a few tables - the owners are definitely passionate about Japanese cuisine and you can definitely feel that as you chat with them a bit. The menu is small, but dedicated to quality, and you will make your choice quite quickly. All the fish was fresh, large pieces, and really really clean tasting. The soup was delightful and paired wonderfully and everything was presented quite nicely. The grilled fish was also tasty and really tender.
