**Delivery Review** When it's Monday, and you realize your lunch is sitting in your fridge at home, you order lunch with your work mom to try to reset the tone of the day. We opted to order for her, the chicken teriyaki with shumai combo, and I got the spicy kani salad, with their ever popular Magic roll. Overall, this was a pretty no frills option for quick sushi that was passable at best. There are many options around the area, and this is good alone, for just the price, but the quality could be brought up a notch. The spicy kani salad was very soggy. There was more cucumber than kani, which is always a red flag for me, and the portion was a bit insulting for the price. Maybe it was 2-3 tablespoons worth of salad? Again, you can tell a lot from a place by their kani salad, and this wasn't it for me. The Magic roll didn't put a spell on me in any way. It was good tasting, but didn't have a WOW factor that I was hoping to experience. The spice was good, and the flavors were there, but it needed something more to be magical. My work's mom chicken teriyaki needed more sauce than what it was packaged with. Also, unlike most traditional sushi places, this place served chicken thigh meat than breast meat, so if you would rather one over the other, I would let them know what you want exactly. It was good, but didn't grab me. These pieces were more like hibachi bites than anything else. The shumai were very standard; probably something that was previously frozen and then microwaved. This place has potential to be better, but I think there's opportunity for them to improve, if they choose to. read more

This review is for a delivery order I placed. The reviews of this place were glowing, so I felt confident when I picked this restaurant for dinner, but my faith was not rewarded. In all my history of sushi-eating (and I've eaten quite a bit), I've never before seen such poorly made rolls. I ordered a simple salmon roll and a yellowtail jalapeno roll, with two pieces of white tuna sashimi. There was just so much rice. The rice to fish ratio was ridiculously off balance and the rolls were so sloppily constructed that they didn't even close together. Eventually I just gave up and started eating the fish. That's when I realized that they pieces inside were tiny! Thin and short pieces packed into an overabundance of rice. I will not be ordering from here again. read more

To be honest it's really hard for me to write this review because I want to keep this place all to myself. My partner and I ended up here on a rainy day a few months back by chance and fell in love with the place and now go back 1-2 times a week. Came in last night around 10:25pm, google said they closed at 11pm but to our pleasant surprise they stayed open till 11:30 pm on a Monday night. The deluxe bento boxes are the best $15 you will spend in this area, and one of the best value $15 meals in the city. The salmon teriyaki deluxe bento is my go-to. It includes: miso soup, salad with ginger dressing, a thin but delicious salmon steak atop white rice, a California roll, perfectly crispy vegetable tempura AND a shrimp tempura. It is absolutely enough food for two meals, or one big meal for a really hungry person. Every time I've ever been in-person there, they are busy, which is a great sign and also a sign that everything they produce is fresh. The sushi is serviceable but not an amazing - I suggest one of the Maki combos which come with 3 rolls for around $14. If you're in ordering range, I suggest calling them directly versus using one of the delivery services - prices are higher on the apps and you can pay in cash to the delivery guy if that's your preference. If you're dining in, don't expect much. They pivoted to all take-out and delivery during the pandemic so the dining room is more or less a waiting area for delivery drivers now, but works in a pinch. read more

Seamless: Ordered delivery and had the worst delivery driver experience. The man called me 7 times in 2 minutes and left a silent voicemail. I picked up on his 8th call, and he immediately started to aggressively shout and be rude. He demanded I come down to meet him as "he was very busy," but would not tell me what entrance he was at (my building has two entrances not that close to one another). Despite me trying to buzz him in he refused to come up. I canceled my order, but then he shows up and starts banging on my door and repeatedly pressing my doorbell.
