When i first walked in, the owner was really nice and very respectful. It has a welcoming atmosphere, with lots of decorations on the wall which is cute. The food was good. I had got the miso soup appetizer, a spicy crab roll with shrimp tempura and the presentation for the food was really cute. The miso soup is literally so delicious only thing lacking is tofu in my opinion. The owner was really excited to show it off. My girlfriend and I had the specialty roll and salmon maki. They were both okay... but 24 hours late we both had bad food poisoning and it is the only thing we ate in common. Not sure if we got unlucky or if this is a one-time thing for Sushi King but we will not be eating there again. read more

Food: 1.5/5 Found this new restaurant so I decided to give it a try. Their menu seemed decent. They have sushi bowls, dons, a la carte, bubble tea etc. I ordered the sushi and sashimi for 2 for takeout. I had two issues with my food: 1) I took a picture of the menu because I was planning to post it on Yelp and I'm glad I did. According to their menu and what I ordered, I should have gotten 18 pieces of sashimi, 10 pieces of sushi, a chef special roll, a california roll and a miso soup... but that's not what I got. Of course I didn't notice until it was too late and I had already left. They didn't give me my miso soup and they only gave 6 pieces of sushi instead of the advertised 10. I was pretty bummed. It's been pretty cold lately and I was looking forward to my warm soup. 2) The food was just bad. The chef roll was decent but it had fried tempura in it. I would MAYBE recommend this place for rolls or anything nonfish related. The sushi is not fresh here. My tuna was more brown than red and it was almost rubbery. The sashimi wasn't fresh either. I was extremely hungry and I still ended up tossing most of my food out. I guess they did me a favor by shorting my order because it was less food for me to throw in the garbage. Service: 3/5 Decent service at the establishment. They were friendly while I was there ordering but when I had called to complain about my missing items, they didn't try to rectify. Sushi was decent. Not the best but not the worst I had. I ordered Kani rolls which came in correct. I ordered salmon avocado rolls and they just gave me salmon rolls (seaweed and salmon) no rice in them or anything. I ordered a taro bubble tea and it tasted like cinnamon and a ton of sugar. Ordered from Uber eats thinking the 2 sushi roll for $12 would be a good idea since it usually is...when it's from a different place. As someone who rarely gives out 1 star ratings, the food was just so disappointing. Not only were the portions tiny but one of the rolls were 90% sliced cucumbers?? I love their sushi! They had a great special today for a typically $12 sushi, Island Coconut Shrimp sushi, for $8. I am a huge fan of their bubble tea as well; I don't think I have had better across the city to be honest. I always get the passion fruit green tea (no milk) and it has real passion fruit seeds in it which make it so crunchy, and full of incredible flavor. Definitely recommend. Also family owned which makes it feel super warm and welcoming. read more

I feel obligated to write this review because the customer service from this restaurant was so bad, the people working there were so demeaning and they don't deserve anyone's business. Order was completely wrong and when I called to correct it I wasn't listened to before the female on the phone started screaming at me. She just kept yelling over me so I couldn't get a word in, then hung up the phone. Completely unprofessional and rude. Food is mediocre, fish tastes like it was previously frozen, wasabi tastes like dyed mashed potato. This place does not deserve your business, but if you do decide to order, may I suggest the following approach: Order from somewhere that doesn't suck. They've forever lost my business. read more

Picked up sushi from here. Delicious. I had the eel Avacado roll and the Avacado and eel chunks were big and fresh.

Just stopped in for a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised by the freshness of the sushi. The sweet potato roll was delicious, filled up to the brim and very tasty. The Philly roll has a generous amount of cream cheese but not too much. The Eel cucumber was also fantastic. The volcano roll was one of the best special rolls I've had in a while - crunchy with just the right amount of spice. The miso was also some of the best I've had in Brooklyn, with nice pieces of cooked tofu (not soggy) and served with pieces of crab. You can ask for no crab if that's not your thing and it's still delicious. Also the bubble tea is only $2 if you get 3 regular rolls! Really great deal. I was so happy when this sushi place opened up in the neighborhood a while back! I come here pretty often and the sushi is solid every time and always sates my craving. Plus the place is always clean and open late-ish so I'm still able to get some sushi coming home late from my job, and the staff is always super sweet and efficient. I ordered from here, the order took much longer then I was told it would, they did not provide wasabi at all when I made sure to request it under notes for restaurant when ordering. The customer service is horrible and my avocado rolls were rotten. The avocado was brown. I will never order from this place ever again. I know some places you can have a bad first experience with but the restaurant usually tries to make it right but the manager there is rude and so unprofessional. great sushi. really good. and you have the special where you have three rolls for like not much money, plus you can get a bubble tea for cheap. this place looks cheap, but the sushi is really quite good. My one concern is they don't provide low sodium soy sauce, which I prefer. The one with the green top.
