So few good Asian places around Bushwick, and this place is no different. The good: quick delivery and low prices. The bad: chicken is all dark meat and slimy, would not even attempt to eat it. It is literally purple in color. The fried rice is really just 75% onion and rice with a sauce on it. Ordered the tofu teriyaki and it came with FOUR pieces of tofu. Also there was hair IN my tofu. Short and dark and therefore I know it was not mine. Avocado and peanut roll had minimal avocado, like barely visible. Due to the limited reviews, I'm not sure if this place is new, but I do know that I will not be ordering from again. Maybe it was an off night, but way too off for me to try again. read more

This place opened very recently, maybe a month or two ago, and I have since ordered from here at least 5 times. Even two nights in a row. I was amazed when my food showed up literally 12 minutes after I placed my order one time. The spicy salmon and tuna sushi tastes fresh and delicious. The sweet potato roll was still warm and crispy when I got it. The bento box deluxe gives you a huge amount of food, can easily be split between two people. Great value. Not to mention they even hook me up with Eat24 coupon cards every now and then. Very thoughtful. It's hard to find good Japanese over here in Bed-Stuy. I came by with a friend around 2 on a Friday, and it was pretty busy. Great news for this new addition to the neighborhood! They seem to get a lot of business from Woodhull Hospital across the street. I ordered 3 rolls for $9 off of the lunch special - mango avocado roll, shrimp tempura roll and spicy tuna roll. They arrived relatively quickly and were delicious. The standout roll was the mango avocado roll for being light and refreshing. I also tried the peanut avocado roll, which was different and delicious. The restaurant had a bit of a hole in the wall feel but that was okay. There were about 6 tables, along with additional few chairs by the register to wait for takeout orders. read more

I work near this sushi place and a lot of times order their 2 roll spl for lunch. They are very busy in the lunch time so def need to order about 15-20 min in advance. The quality is decent for the neighborhood, prices are ok. They have a pretty decent selection on their menu. It's a small place with a few tables to sit. Well, you do sort of get what you pay for. Orders the 3 sushi roll lunch special (says it comes with miso soup or soda) when I ordered, she didn't offer this to me, so I asked if I could have the miso. She said yes. They def don't go the extra mile in the customer service department, but not mean or anything. Was ready in less than 10 min. Took the bag home and.. no miso.. but whatever. Had the spicy tuna, eel avo, and chicken tempura. Tempura was at least mildly warm. Spicy tuna on the rubbery side. Eel even more so, while the rice was sort of hard in places. But, for only $8.95 it wasn't terrible. More like the fast food version of sushi, I'll bet very similar to what would come packaged at Food Bazaar, maybe 2% better. Still, it doesn't taste old or make me feel like I'm eating old raw sushi and should feel scared. Not that bad!! I wouldn't take a special friend on a date here, but it does the job when you are working on a lunch break and are tired of the standard garbage fast food in the area. There really is no other option for anything healthy right next to the hospital, so it sort of fits that job when you don't want Little Ceasars pizza or Burger King. Yes I will come back, since I live across the street and like the convenience of it when I'm starving and have no room in my day to cook lunch. read more

FOOD POISONING AND REFUSED TO REFUND. My boyfriend and I are frequent customers and love the sushi! I ordered the sashimi entree while he ordered the teriyaki chicken combo. Within a few hours, he experienced severe discomfort and nausea which resulted in violent food poisening. Because we never experienced this issue before and go there often, we contacted the resturant just to let them know. They got defensive and refused to refund us and apologize. We were totally dismissed and the report was TOTALLY ignored which makes me fearful for other customers. I instantly reported them to the NYC Board of Health. Their food may be good a majority of the time but they clearly dont care about their customers. Never agin. read more

I ordered online with Mirakuya. I asked for the combo to make the yellowtail roll not spicy. They called to say that was going to be extra. So the fact that I wanted to have a cheaper product was going to cost me more? I have never heard of this as any other place can easily make the change. There is always something weird about eating bargain-priced sushi. You're a little scared but sometimes you do it anyway. I got their 3-roll lunch special (salmon mango, spicy tuna, and eel avocado). The salmon mango roll was a knock out. A really interesting combination that I had never had before. The salmon was actually really fresh too! The spicy tuna was not great. It was more about the texture and temperature of it - it didn't seem fresh or flavorful to me. And the eel avocado was fine but the eel wasn't super fresh tasting as well. We ordered Sunday dinner delivery off of Seamless from here and it was very quick, great value for the amount of food, and most importantly it was very tasty! We don't have any options for sushi, or many Asian foods in general, in our neighborhood of Bed-Stuy so this was a big win. We will order from here again very soon! read more
