We came here for a Sunday lunch. We were seated at one of those private rooms for two. One can hail the staff by pressing a button attached to the wall. Much to our delight, we received complimentary matcha pudding for dessert upon Yelp check-in. Since it was a ramen kind of day, my partner ordered Kyushu Tonkatsu shio, served with pork chashu, bamboo shoots, wakame, half-marinated egg, nori, and corn in a pork broth. My eyes caught the "couple ramen" of black and white Tonkatsu shio and black garlic Tonkatsu served with pork chashu and half-marinated egg. The matcha pudding dessert was perfect after a ramen meal. We enjoyed our visit here, with delicious portion ramen together with great customer service, and we will come back. read more

Combo B2 was the perfect amount for me and my boyfriend! It includes the Tokyo Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen and Sapporo Miso Ramen with a side of Popcorn Chicken, Matcha Pudding w. Red Bean, Japanese Cherry Blossom Jelly, Thai tea and a refreshing lemonade! The service was neutral - they have a call button that they respond to in a relatively timely manner. Had to ask for water so note that it's not automatically given. We finished every bit of the combo and they do a fun slurp challenge where the bottom of every bowl will let you know to try again next time, or you have the chance to win free ramen/drink/chicken. Really like that we had a private booth that is covered although I will say it depends on who your neighbors are on how loud/quiet your experience is. I came here for dinner before heading to Barclays Center on a Friday night. I usually order their ramen but decided to try something different. I ordered the creamy udon with two shrimp tempura, mushrooms, and mentaiko (pollock roe). The udon was better than I expected. The sauce was creamy and flavorful. Came here on a Friday night but luckily didn't have a wait. I loooove the style of this restaurant with individual dining spaces separated by curtains for privacy. It felt very cozy and comfortable. I loved the booth tables at this location, it had shades and allowed privacy if need be. Those tables must be reserved, if you are a walk in, you must sit out in the open. I just discovered I was not a ramen girlie. I ordered the spring rolls and the shrimp tempura , both dishes come with chipotle mayo. I asked one of the employees if I'd be able to get sweet chili instead. The employee responded that I'd be a 5 dollar charge for the sauce. It's also pretty narrow inside but clean and they have booths like all the other Kyuramen locations. I tried their Amazing Lemonade which is sweet, tart, and has cucumber too. Their Yakitori Platter is a great pick to try a variety of Japanese skewers. We also ordered the Popcorn Chicken before diving into their Yin Yang Ramen and Curry Ramen with chashu. The Yin Yang is a bowl with two ramen options so you can try both flavors and it has chashu pork and shrimp tempura. The curry one has a thick curry sauce and isn't spicy. The ramen is just okay. It's not mind-blowing. They also have the popular omurice here which comes with demiglaze or curry sauce. The Tonkotsu Omurice comes over a bed of fried rice and the pork cutlet on the side. I hated the taste of the fried rice. It was really bad. We ended with a Matcha Mille Crêpe cake slice which was decadent and yummy. read more

Even though I was pretty full, the desserts were a nice touch to end the meal. The pudding and jelly weren't all that special to be honest, but they're so pretty and cute. My cousin and I paid a visit to Kyuramen recently on a cold rainy night. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by a smiling gentleman who showed us to our seats at the bar. I was excited to try a new ramen spot because it one of my favorite dishes and Kyuramen didn't disappoint. I had the curry Tonkatsu ramen with a side of kimchi and a Thai tea. Maybe it's just their takeout but I didn't like this place. The steak skewers were super tough and the portions were very small. It tasted like shoe leather and was almost inedible. The pork buns were fine but also a small portion of meat compared to bun and a bit sweet and bland. The ramen was pretty good but again skimpy on the portions and not that much depth of flavor. Then we had the new steak ramen (way too cooked) and chicken ramen. The broth was too oily that it was upsetting my stomach. The ramen noodles had a funny taste, just didn't taste fresh at all. My brother's ramen meal (the chicken ramen), the broth was bothering his throat and he is not allergic to anything! I ordered the yin yang ramen bowl, which is half spicy tonkotsu and half miso shoyu. Also got a spicy tonkotsu and made it into a combo, which comes with Thai iced tea and pork bun. Ramen is good but standard and more Americanized than the real deal. I've had better. It's a gimmicky chain so I understand why it's popular. I remember the service being okay. So I said why not! Since we didn't have a reservation we couldn't sit in the booths where there's a curtain which was fine! I love the ambiance in Kyuramen. The service was good. The pan fried gyoza was AMAZING! I got the spicy chicken Ramen minus the bamboo shoot and it was MID.
