Chicken Ramen
Emery G.

Was in town for a concert and picked this spot for dinner. Service was fast, luckily we were sat right away. Ordered beers and ramen. Took my a while to decide which ramen I wanted. Went with the chicken ramen. It was good, broth was flavorful. Egg was perfect! They opened a spot in Jersey which I have to try.

I rarely write reviews like this, but the service here was beyond frustrating -- it was gaslight-the-customer bad. I ordered the karaage (Japanese fried chicken) and asked for a lemon wedge -- a totally standard pairing. The waitress looked at me like I was asking for plutonium. "It'll be sour," she said. Yeah... that's the point of lemon. But the real disaster? The ramen. The noodles were clearly undercooked -- not firm, not al dente -- just stiff and chewy, like biting through raw pasta. I mentioned this, and the waitress actually agreed they were undercooked -- and then immediately said, "That's how it's supposed to be." No offer to remake it. No apology. Just... gaslight city. When I pushed back politely and asked that it be taken off the bill, she argued again. Finally I had to say, "Take it off my bill and give me my check." I didn't even finish the meal. It's one thing to make a mistake -- that happens. But it's another to double down and try to convince the customer they're wrong about something as basic as properly cooked noodles. Avoid this place. Plenty of ramen joints in Brooklyn that know what they're doing -- and don't treat their customers like fools.

It's ok but I got take out so the soup got kinda cold. But it could be better hot. Seemed kinda small portion though. It was ok but not jumping up n down over..

We picked this place for late lunch based on the reviews when we were in the area. We were seated right away. It was a cold day so perfect for a bowl of ramen. I ordered a Spicy beef ramen. The broth was beefy and flavorful. It came with sufficient toppings and beef. Our food was great. Just a note, only cash or Zelle. But you can use the ATM that is located inside the restaurant.

Went for lunch special. Ten ichi ramen was mid. Not a lot of soup and soup itself was bland. Pork gyoza was mind and soggy. Quick service though so a reasonable spot for quick lunch. Does not accept credit card. Only venmo, zelle, cash, etc.

Best ramen in NYC. I had the Rayu Beef Ramen. It was so flavorful and delicious. Broth was made from scratch. Servers were friendly and attentive. Great ambiance too. Highly recommend if you're in the area. A must try ramen spot in Brooklyn.

My favorite local ramen spot! It's so cozy in here and everyone is so nice. Delicious, flavorful ramen, pork buns, apps, poke. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

4.5/5 Tenichi Ramen (22nd Bowl out of 100) Ten Nichi Ramen - $15. Broth: 4.5/5. Has a very nice black garlic and fatty taste, however just a little overly oily. Chashu: 5/5. Has a nice charred flavor, fatty chew with the meat falling apart. Noodles: 5/5. Wavy noodles. Has a very bouncy chew even after being submerged in the broth for four minutes. Side Note: Egg: The egg had that nice deep soy sauce flavor. Appetizers Aigamo Bun: $5. Duck bun. Tastes like if you were to have a Peking duck bun but instead of hoisin sauce, it's with spicy mayo. An interesting combo and twist. Buta Bun: $5. Pork bun. Slightly thicker slices of chashu compared to the ones you get from the ramen. It was very delicious, plus there was a lot of juice in the meat. Shishito and Rock Shrimp Tempura: $10. Baby shrimp and pepper covered in tempura batter. Average, nothing special. Too much batter on the shrimp, but then again it is baby shrimp. It was fun eating the shishito peppers to see if it was spicy or not. It was a hit or miss. Pork Gyoza Home Made: $9. This plate was the best appetizer out of the four ordered. Although, it was slightly overly oily but delicious nonetheless. Total: $47.91

We got the Tenichi ramen and the beef ramen. Both were amazing, you can taste the difference in their broth. The thin sliced beef on my beef ramen was so tender and well seasoned. Service was also great and we had an unexpectedly fun time.

Wanted to branch out from my classic go to spot Ramen Danbo and tried the Ten Ichi Ramen and the Rayu Beef Ramen. The ramens tasted good on a winter evening, but definitely not on par with Ramen Danbo. I did like the ambiance of the seats facing the window. The Ten Ichi Ramen: The broth was strong and tasty, though a little overpowered with the black pepper flavor. Loved the wood ear mushrooms and the bok choy, but there wasn't as much of them. The pork chashu was tasty and the egg was not cold. Overall, enjoyed this ramen. Rayu beef ramen: The broth was not too spicy and had a nice beef bone broth kick. The menma (bamboo shoots) were great, but wish there was more of this ingredient in the dish. The sliced beef was a little tough but flavorful, nevertheless. Overall, enjoyed it less than the Ten Ichi Ramen, but still a good pick! They don't ask which type of noodles you'd want or how firm you'd like your noodles, which would have been a nice touch. The noodles do come firm though, which luckily fit my preference.

Nothing too special - if you want an easy quick dinner, this could be a good choice. The shishito & rock shrimp tempura was good. The duck and pork belly buns weren't my favorites as you could barely taste the meats. The beef ramen had a nice kick, but did not have much ingredients included unless you added them a la carte. The Ten Ichi Ramen was normal.

We got the chicken ramen which was good but not fantastic. I've definitely had better, this was nothing special. The service was very good though. And it's a cute little place with nice seating and decor.

Average ramen served promptly in a clean environment. Will do in a pinch if you are in the area but not a destination restaurant.

Surprised I haven't been to this ramen spot earlier since it seems to be a pretty popular…read morerestaurant and staple in the Park Slope neighborhood. It's quite busy but the turnover rate is quick. The restaurant is small but has a good amount of tables and counter seating. But I've got to say I am disappointed by my overall experience based on how popular this spot is. You order from a menu you can write on, which allows you to customize your ramen selections (noodle thickness, broth, add-ons, etc). I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with spicy added. While the broth is pretty good, I think the overall ramen is a bit lacking compared to other ramen spots. I did not realize the ramen did not come with any ingredients besides the chashu meat and some scallions sprinkled on top. So this spot really requires you to customize and add on toppings. Usually other ramen spots already have selection of toppings in each type of bowl. So overall, my ramen was pretty standard and nothing outstanding. I do appreciate that you can add half or full serving of extra noodles for $1-2 if you want more. Also, like others mentioned, Ramen Danbo received a C health code rating. I didn't see this until halfway through my meal, but I probably would not have ate here if I saw it beforehand. Quite appalling for a restaurant that doesn't even have an extensive menu. Overall, the service is okay... I can't say I had any particular issues BUT I just felt like all the servers gave off the vibe that they just hated their jobs or something. It was just the vibe I got but it could just be me.

Kikusui red sake and Kirin lager available, among other japanese alcohol. Sesame garlic ramen with ground pork, extra egg, woodear mushroom, and side of chili oil: 5/5. A great bowl of ramen. Excellent broth with great sides. Among my favorites. Pickled vegetables: 3/5. My friend's choice. They were fine, not memorable. Crispy brussels: 4.5/5. Very tasty. My choice. Liked the peppers (jalapenos or something similar) with them. My friend had the soy ramen and he said it was great. This is one of his top ramen joints in the area. The base price of the Ramen is $20 (protein is not included in the price), then they charge for egg and 1 slice of pork ($5 each), so you could really be paying an upwards of $30-$35...God forbid I want 2 slices of pork!! This is a HUGE turn off for me, especially considering the competition. For example if you go to Tonchin, the pork and egg are included in the price ($23) and the ramen is amazing!!...and it's a Michelin star restaurant on top of that. I prefer more bang for my buck, so I don't think I'd order from here again.
