Haven't been back to an ichiran in yearssss and finally went to one. So happy. It was delicious and i slurped up all the broth. The bowls were wierd though bc they made it like the bowl was deeper than it actually is which i didnt like. Makin us think theres more food. Service was great and fast too. Huge space for people to come eat too or eat alone depending on your preference. Matcha pudding was strong end literally to our meal.

I like that they have individualized seats for solo eaters and that the partitions are movable so that you can move it aside for when you want to talk to your friends. Service is quick since you don't have to interact with waiters. The seats have hook for your bags and there are also additional hooks on the wall behind your seats where you can hang your coats. The broth tastes average, ramen does not come with marinated eggs, very disappointed. My bowl of ramen came with 5 pieces of meat mean while my friend's came with 2 pieces. It is not standardized. For almost $30, it is not worth it.

Ichiran Brooklyn is my favorite location across all their shops. The experience is so much more pleasant--fewer tourists, and easier street parking. The seating options where you can choose traditional tables with good company or their signature ramen booths, which offers space to focus entirely on your bowl and nothing else. Also kids eat free with dine-in, which is a nice touch if you're bringing family. If you're in Brooklyn and craving authentic ramen, this location delivers.

only complaint I have is having to pay for a tiny noodle refill but I guess since they don't accept tips , it evens out. definitely the best TASTING ramen ever nbs. service was on point shoutout to Jessica. The ambiance feels like Japan at 3am in a tiny alley.

I've been craving this Japanese staple since I left Japan so when in Brooklyn this week we decided to check it out. The inside experience was very similar to the location in Tokyo. You order at the counter and then you can sit in individual booths where they serve the food. The food was good (of course not as good as the 4 times we visited in Japan) but it was a close second. The broth in Japan felt like a warm hug every time we experienced it. This location was good but the bowls they served it in felt shallow and like we didn't get enough of the broth. Overall the experience was good and an enjoyable spot for Ramen in NY.

Love the ramen here. You can custom order each ramen to your taste preference by picking, richness of soup, spice level, firmness of noodles, garlic, scallions etc. Once you order, they will give you the tickets and ask if you want to sit in the main dining room or at the booth. ICHIRAN is famous for the individual booths where Japanese people in Japan can go for a quick meal and slurp their noodles as loud as they want. Once you sit at the booth the server will open the window from their side and you hand them the tickets. You eat in private and if you need anything else from the server, you just ring the buzzer. Otherwise you just finish and leave. Easy, hassle free meal. The soup here is so flavorful and rich. Best ramen soup in the city if you ask me.

Probably the best ramen I've ever had (having never been to Japan) and the best environment to have it in. You order your toppings, broth, drinks, etc. on a screen and then are seated in individual cubbies/cubicles. The staff serves you discreetly through the cubicle without any face-to-face interaction or conversation. They're very polite as well - bowing and all. The pork broth (the only broth I've ever ordered) is creamy and hearty and very delicious. The pork itself is also very tender and flavorful. It's an all around fantastic experience with delicious food!

So glad to be able to enjoy Ichiran in the states! The broth was very rich and creamy, full of flavor. Loved how it came out pipping hot- just how I like my ramen. The servers are nice and responsive. You have to option to sit in the individual booths like in Japan or regular dining tables. Definitely satisfied the ramen craving.

Finally dropped by Brooklyn Ichiran - we were seated very quickly in booths. The ramen was decent and service was quick and smooth. You place your orders on and ipad before getting seated. Water is self service and the signage in the booths were very cool to read. It was also great to be able to open a wooden slit/dividers to connect neighboring booths for our party of more than 1. Although the experience was the quintessential ichiran experience, the price however was a downer. 26.99 for the ramen with all the toppings. It's just a little too pricey for me feel that it was worth the cost. We did it once, and probably won't come back again. Still a nice spot to get ramen if you don't mind the hit on your wallet.

This place is michelin guided for a reason. Came on a Sunday at 5pm in the middle of a winter storm and there was still a line. We ordered and sat in 20 mins. Love how the ramen bowl is totally customizable. I got the tonkustu and got everything how they recommended it. This ramen was amazing. Also love how the interior makes you feel like you're in a ramen shop in Japan.

Super yummy ramen and I love the concept of being able to eat privately. I have no complaints other than the "spicy" broth option not actually being spicy. The restaurant is clean and service is friendly!

I love Ichiran! Their ramen is a bit pricey at around $20 but it always hits every single time. I ordered the veggie ramen made as they recommend and it's delicious. I love that you can taste the oil and garlic in the broth, and the texture of the noodles is also soft and satisfying but with a bit of chew. The depth of flavor is perfect and on a rainy or cold day there's nothing more cozy. It was our first time eating at the table area instead of the flavor booths, and we enjoyed the more casual atmosphere and being able to chat freely and not feel the need to be quiet. We've been here a few times already and will definitely be back!

7 years since we last visited and it is still just as good. So worth the price. Kids eat free and my 2.5to devoured her noodles, pork AND soup and asked for a second serving of noodles lol. It is THAT good

It's quite busy but the turnover rate is quick. The restaurant is small but has a good amount of tables and counter seating. But I've got to say I am disappointed by my overall experience based on how popular this spot is. You order from a menu you can write on, which allows you to customize your ramen selections (noodle thickness, broth, add-ons, etc). I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with spicy added. While the broth is pretty good, I think the overall ramen is a bit lacking compared to other ramen spots. I did not realize the ramen did not come with any ingredients besides the chashu meat and some scallions sprinkled on top. So this spot really requires you to customize and add on toppings. Usually other ramen spots already have selection of toppings in each type of bowl. So overall, my ramen was pretty standard and nothing outstanding. I do appreciate that you can add half or full serving of extra noodles for $1-2 if you want more. Also, like others mentioned, Ramen Danbo received a C health code rating. I didn't see this until halfway through my meal, but I probably would not have ate here if I saw it beforehand. Quite appalling for a restaurant that doesn't even have an extensive menu. Overall, the service is okay... I can't say I had any particular issues BUT I just felt like all the servers gave off the vibe that they just hated their jobs or something. It was just the vibe I got but it could just be me.

Everything we ordered was fresh, cooked to perfection, and reasonably priced. We had the gyoza, edamame, Hamachi Lover, Ebi Shu Mai, and the $15 Beef Set (three beef skewers), accompanied by hot tea and Ramune. The beef skewers were a highlight--tender meat with seasoning that was spot-on. Warm, welcoming, prompt, and super efficient. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating, and our waiter was extremely helpful in guiding us through the menu. Top-tier service all around. The tables are a bit small and tight though, so they brought out our food in courses. We started off with the Kaishin Don ($45), which was perfectly plated over a bed of rice. This one came with a good amount of uni, which was much appreciated. Then we had the Ozakaya Donburi Set ($49), which is such a fun one. You have a raw egg to mix into your seafood bowl accompanied with some pickled veggies and sliced sashimi. Once you've ate more than half your bowl, you can get a broth that finished cooking your fish and turning the rice into porridge. The broth is savory and tangy, which gives it such a nice and refreshing flavor. We enjoyed both of these dishes a lot and it was fun to make your own handrolls. Then came the Mentai Pasta ($19), which is sadly one of the worst things I've ever ate. Not only was there barely any Mentai flavor, but the mayonnaise completely overpowered everything. I couldn't get over how I might as well have ate a spoonful of mayo on its own; that's how rich and heavy this dish was. The bacon was overcooked as well but somewhat cut all the mayo. I even tried to add some soy sauce but there was no saving this pasta. We ended up tossing the rest of the dish and I am not one to waste food. I even tried to complain to the waitress but she just ignored it. It was unfortunate because the other dishes we had were amazing. Luckily we were still able to end on a good note as we ordered the Oshiruko ($12) for dessert. This came with two scoops of matcha ice cream, grilled mochi, and red bean. Everything went well together and the matcha was strong. It's wild how good and bad some of the dishes were here. Definitely stick to the sushi and rice bowl dishes and whatever you do, DO NOT order the mentai pasta unless you love mayo.

It's nonfussy, and although not the cheapest sushi, it's definitely not super expensive/omakase level. It's a small space with a giant bar for seating and maybe a few tables - the owners are definitely passionate about Japanese cuisine and you can definitely feel that as you chat with them a bit. The menu is small, but dedicated to quality, and you will make your choice quite quickly. All the fish was fresh, large pieces, and really really clean tasting. The soup was delightful and paired wonderfully and everything was presented quite nicely. The grilled fish was also tasty and really tender.
