Great neighborhood sushi spot. I hadn't been to Mura since they moved across the street, and I'm happy to say it's just as good as I remembered. I love the clean, modern look of the new space. The food is consistently excellent--I had the dinner combo with miso cod, and it was delicious. I'll definitely be coming back more often. After several dine in visits and deliveries with positive feedback, I am disappointed to downgrade my review. A delivery tonight resulted in one roll we couldn't identify since the one we ordered wasn't included. It must have been swapped for something else. A BOGO spicy Tuna was bright red and pureed. And a Blue Crab roll was flavorless. It seemed everything was pureed. On top of it all, so many rolls fell apart at the seams---one of my biggest gripes. Disappointed. read more

Ordered sushi from Mura the other day and was absolutely blown away! The quality and taste of the fish was unparalleled, filling was generous and delicious, the sauces on top were amazing. Portions were generous and the shrimp tempura was fresh and not heavily battered like it is in many other spots. I'm so stoked to find a new high quality sushi spot that I can order from frequently. Went during lunch time on Columbus Day about 1245. Was pretty quiet until of course families with whiny kids sat on both sides of me (previously enjoying the quietness lol). Service was kind and somewhat attentive. Place is chic zen. Two rolls lunch came with miso and salad. Miso soup was poured into a cold bowl so the soup was quickly becoming lukewarm. Then it took about 20 more Minutes before the rolls arrived (I was about to walk out). Food was coming for the families who say after me so I was getting concerned and annoyed. Was craving sushi and went for their lunch special. I usually have trouble choosing which rolls I want, but I noticed that wasn't the case for Mura. I was not impressed with their options, missing some of the classic rolls. Ordered the two rolls lunch special for $11.50. It comes with a miso soup and a small salad. *This review is for a delivery order from UberEats. We were searching for sushi delivery on a Sunday night and decided to give Mura a shot. On UberEats, they have limited tracking and just a general time estimate, so we were a bit fearful as some of our orders have taken up to 2 hours. Luckily, a few minutes into the time range given our food had arrived -- just about 45 after placing the order. The food was amazing. We ordered the sashimi platter and Mura roll. The sashimi platter was so fresh and tasty; it also included a bowl of rice. It was easily the best sashimi I've ever gotten delivered, and up there for great sashimi in NYC. We also order the Mura roll as it's description seemed interesting -- lobster tempura, mozzarella cheese, tuna, avocado and eel. It was so delicious. I have nothing but praise for this restaurant. I've gotten delivery from here a couple times - the first time was a year ago so I couldn't remember how it was but I just ordered again recently and remember it was pretty good decent sushi. The food is not bad - in fact, reasonably priced and good - but I wouldn't say it would be my go-to for sushi. It's good for filling that sushi craving. If getting chirashi, would recommend getting just salmon. I tried the assorted and although it was good, it had imitation crab and some thing I wasn't interested in. Took advantage of the buy one get one free deal on Uber eats and ordered two of the spicy tuna maki rolls. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the roll and thoroughly enjoyed it, however I wouldn't consider it to be spicy. I'll definitely be trying more rolls from this restaurant soon! Ok I like love to use the phrase go to place Mura is truly my place in my hood. The food is delish my personal favorite it The Bento Box. I usually get one at lunch however last night I ordered a Bento box two proteins and all the other yummies. I had the teriyaki salmon and shir morning with was made perfecto tender a true party in my mouth. I also usually change up the The California rolls to tuna rolls or whatever I like I do not mind paying the extra money. I also enjoy the ice green tea blends in with the pallet of good tasting food. I also enjoy eating sashimi I am not really a major sushi person. The sashimi is always good at Mura as I had on other occasions it's fresh which is really tremendous. Please let me highlight the owners and staff. They are very nice, greeting my husband and I with big smiles on their face which is lovely. read more

So, I found this very confusing at first, as it's right across the street from Mura sushi, but it is indeed a separate and unique storefront and restaurant--this one centered on Ramen and Poke. Conveniently, my friend and I tried one of each--I ordered the Traditional Tonkotsu Ramen bowl, which was nice and flavorful, and a good portion size. I ordered it medium spicy, but probably could have used more--I'd recommend going all the way. The poke bowls allow you to build your own, with a ton of options. Looked tasty, and was big enough for a couple of meals for her. They seemed to have a thriving takeout business, but do have a nice and spacious backyard seating area if you want a comfortable Covid dine-in experience. We did get disturbed mid-meal by a raccoon climbing the wall next door to us. They quickly moved us inside to finish our meal. Probably something that would have bothered me more in the past, but seemed pretty par for the course in these crazy times. read more

Ordered lunch from Mura on Sunday afternoon. Extremely fresh and delicious sushi, I highly recommend sticking with the classics. Quality: Sometimes the basics are just better. I ordered four different rolls, mostly focused around spicy tuna. Three were more standard, Salmon Avocado, Spicy Tuna, and Godzilla, which was Spicy Tuna with avocado and crunch. The other was a speciality Volcano roll with soft shell crab, smoked mozzarella, endive, avocado, topped with spicy tuna with crunch. The Spicy Tuna and Godzilla were both fantastic, while the Salmon Avocado had melt in your mouth salmon. The Volcano Roll was just too much and inconsistent. Stick with the basics and you will be happy. Quantity: Each piece of sushi was substantial. Value: $7 for Salmon Avocado Maki Roll. $7 for Spicy Tuna Maki Roll. $7 for Godzilla Maki Roll. $15 for Volcano Special Roll. Ambiance: Mura is a sushi spot located in Park Slope. First and last time ordering from this place. I hate that sushi restaurants assume that any rolls ordered is going to one person and should be placed in one container. It drives me crazy but needless to say, regarding food allergies instructions need to be followed. My boyfriend is allergic to shellfish. I specifically asked for the 2 salmon rolls to be placed in a separate container because he's allergic to shellfish. I'm mad for not taking a picture of how the order came but if you can't get this right, then you shouldn't be in business. Food allergies are serious. We had to order food from somewhere else because he couldn't eat the rolls. The rolls I ordered, I requested brown rice, I received white. We ordered chicken teriyaki with a garden salad and received soup. Ordered extra ginger that we paid for, didn't receive that either. I tried calling the restaurant and they never answered the phone. Arguably the best lunch I've had so far in New York. After debating for over an hour whether I wanted yakisoba or yaki udon, I ordered the Shrimp Yakisoba lunch special with miso soup ($10.50). My first time ordering from here and I ordered by way of Seamless. They quoted an hour and it came in 7 minutes. I even tried to add some soy sauce but there was no saving this pasta. We ended up tossing the rest of the dish and I am not one to waste food. I even tried to complain to the waitress but she just ignored it. It was unfortunate because the other dishes we had were amazing. Luckily we were still able to end on a good note as we ordered the Oshiruko ($12) for dessert. This came with two scoops of matcha ice cream, grilled mochi, and red bean. Everything went well together and the matcha was strong. It's wild how good and bad some of the dishes were here. Definitely stick to the sushi and rice bowl dishes and whatever you do, DO NOT order the mentai pasta unless you love mayo.

I really liked this place when I got take out for the first time! I was deciding on which sushi restaurants to pick for dinner and settled on this one as it is the closest to my place. For dinner I got their 3 maki roll set for $15-16 dollars. When eating rolls, I try to find places that have more fish than rice in their roll ratio and this place delivered! One of the best Sushi restaurants in Park Slope. We order two spicy Tuna rolls, Eel Avocado roll and two Boston rolls for delivery. They were pretty quick with our order. The delivery guy was at our door in less then half hour. The seafood in the rolls were very fresh and delicious. The rolls themselves were a decent size and presentation was pretty awesome. This place has an unbeatable lunch special, sushi, or choice of an entree with soup, salad, edamame, shumai, california roll, rice, and japanese gum brought for the end of the meal! It is kind of the place that you know it's not at its best, the sushi rolls are not really that fancy, and when you order ask for extra ginger... they honestly give a little bit. it is close by so it's convenient, otherwise we would go somewhere else. read more
