Super fresh fish and great lunch deals. Super filling and a nice clean meal. 3 rolls and a side of edamame or miso soup for $21.

I went to Daigo Handroll Bar before a concert and I ordered an eel Avocado cut roll. The service was great and quick. The eel avocado roll tasted superb. I would recommend coming here for some delicious sushi if you happen to be shopping upstairs. The ambiance is laid back. I ate my sushi at the bar counter. I asked for spicy mayo and was provided with spicy mayo without extra charge. 10/10 sushi recommendation.

Stumbled upon this STANDING hand roll bar and I am so happy that I did! The fish was fresh and the service was great. I ordered 3 rolls and a miso soup. It was PACKED. They had a lot of solo standing eaters and a side table for families / friends. They have a lot of options to choose from when it comes to hand or cut rolls. I went with the yellowtail, scallop yuzu and spicy salmon. The yellowtail and spicy salmon were my favorite. The scallop one was okay, I've had better. I would love to try to blue crab hand roll next. Great spot for huge, fresh hand rolls in BK!

I ordered lunch here for pickup, the place is a bit difficult to find if you aren't familiar with the food hall as you'll have to go downstairs. The food hall space was quite lively even in the middle of the work day! I schedule ordered the lunch and it was ready on time, the staff was friendly and quick to deliver, and it still tasted fresh!

Good place for handrolls. My favorite are the scallop yuzu and the botan ebi. Portions of seafood are generous and fresh tasting. There are no seats and it's a standing bar. Service is speedy and they have great lunch special deals. Recommended!

Fresh, authentic sushi and handrolls with little wait time. Dekalb Market truly has something for everyone and if you're me, that includes Daigo Hand Roll Bar. As the name implies, there is a bar to sit at with chopsticks, plates and napkins ready for you. Staff is friendly as well. The yellowtail tuna roll with scallion is a must-try. Fresh fish, filling but won't leave you feeling bloated and a good price point. I appreciate how the rolls here are also served at traditional sushi temperature. This is a place you come back to, even if you want to try other vendors, because it's just so good!

The rolls tasted fine. Deceptive advertising so we thought the around $10 per roll was a hand roll size like a sushi burrito but it was just the regular small rolls so it was extremely overpriced.

Omg the fatty tuna was a hit! In general that entire food hall is amazing but surely the best thing I had that day there. The owner is very accommodating and patient

Tuna Avocado rolls. Not good. Tasteless, cold chopped up cheap tuna. Very overpriced. This is TWO rolls!

What do you get when you combine: - Fish served way too cold - Fish that's chopped up rather than served fresh and tender - Rolls that are half the size of most sushi restaurants and - High prices You get Daigo Hand Roll Bar.

Not kidding when I say this place has some of the best spicy tuna I've ever had. Would 10/10 recommend you try that when you visit. The seating layout feels very traditional (at least what I think) which is fun in such a busy marketplace.

First time at this small sushi chain located in the basement food hall of mall. Minimalistic sushi/roll options. You can choose between cut or roll. I chose all cuts for salmon avacado and mackerel rolls. Tasty sushi with good soy sauce, sliced ginger, and most likely horse radish wasabi. I'd eat here often next time. I like their aesthetic but there's no stools for dining booths which makes sense. Their food isn't meant for long eating periods. Recommend find seating in the open area. Definitely worth a try.

Daigo is a surprisingly solid sushi spot in Dekalb market. The fish tastes fresh and the rolls always satisfy. You stand at the countertop tables to dine, so you don't particularly feel like lingering around for too long, but it's a great little place for when you want something fresh and not too heavy. Prices are reasonable for good quality sushi and I haven't had a disappointing roll yet. Will definitely return next time I'm in the market and craving sushi!

The service was horrible. One Asian woman was rude, insulting and disrespectful towards me while I was with my son, all before I could even take a bite of my food that I purchased. It began by me noticing that there were no more chairs available for my son and I to sit on so we can have our dinner. So I found chairs across the dining hall, two restaurants down and carried both chairs by myself, so me and my son could sit and eat at the table to this establishment. First I made sure my son sat down and then placed all our belongings by the chairs I brought over to sit on. We had just been clothes shopping for my son and wanted to eat a nice meal. I told my son to watch our stuff and my seat. I then walked over to order food at the register. While I was at the register ordering and paying for our food, two different adult grown men tried to take the seat I had brought over to sit on. My son later on informed me that the first man that tried to take the seat left because he told the man that his mom (me)was sitting there, then a second man came over to take the seat and my 11 year old son informed him too that the seat was taken, however the second man chose to ignore what my son said and stood sitting on the seat. I then returned and asked why was this man sitting in my seat that my son was watching over. The man gave me no trouble at all and was very apologetic, because he knew my son told him that the seat was taken. The man moved and I waited to enjoy my meal. The Asian women working there did not see my carry both chairs alone from the other side of the dining hall so me and my son could sit, nor did she know that my son had told the man that the seat was taken. All she seen was me ask the man why was he sitting in my seat... Another women at the cashier served me my soup but forgot to give me any utensils. I informed the Asian woman very nicely that I needed a spoon. She went off to go get a spoon, a moment later the cashier woman looked my way and I had told her that I needed a spoon, the spoon was for me that the Asian woman was getting so she wouldn't think that she was handing off the spoon to the wrong person.. The Asian woman thought I was talking to her a second time about the spoon and then slammed the spoon on the counter in front of me and my son!! I asked her "why did she do that and what was with all the attitude about" . She said "I was getting you the spoon" I explained to her I was not talking to her the second time about the spoon but to the other woman and that there was no reason for her to have an attitude with me or slam the spoon on the counter in front of me and my son' face.. She stood standing in front of me just staring at me at first, while I was busy getting the spoon so I can put in my soup. Still standing in front of me she then proceeded to harass me by trying to start an argument with me. Telling me ""that I was mean to the man" the same man that was informed that the seat was taken and still tried to take my seat that I had to physically carry over myself so I can sit on to eat!! Still standing in front of me, trying to provoke me as I sat with my son, I told her I was not mean to the man. As I was going to ignore her so I could enjoy my meal, she still stood standing in front of me trying to provoke an argument with me, standing in front of me just staring, saying out loud ""INTERESTING "" I asked her why was she talking to me, stop talking to me, I just want to enjoy my meal, and informed her to leave me alone. She finally started turning away but not before mentioning something about my son... I then asked her "wait what did you say about my son" mind you my son is an 11 year old little boy. She came back and told me ""that I was mean to my son"" trying to provoke an argument out of me, and continuing to harass me all before I even got a chance to take one bite of my food. She had an extreme attitude with me, was provoking me to argue, was insanely rude and disrespectful towards me infront of my son and caused a scene so bad that I could not eat nothing. My son was upset at how the woman was treating me!! She had absolutely no idea what me and my son discussed or spoke of at all. She had no idea that he was scared to tell the man again that the seat was taken, I had to assure he was ok and not to be nervous when speaking up to defend yourself. The women finally had got me upset, I lost my appetite, I informed her out loud that ""it was none of her business what me and my son spoke about"" her male coworkers seen what she was doing was wrong and pulled her away from standing in front of me..I then asked for a refund and that I did not want to eat there. The whole time this woman stood standing in front of me as to harass me on purpose, then after her coworkers pulled her away from standing in front of me she then followed me to the cashier and stood standing there staring at me like some little kid in JR highschool. I ignored her. The cashier was

My husband had the kaishin don, I had the Ozakaya donburi set and our girls shared the shoyu tonkatsu ramen. The fish was so incredibly fresh here and the rice was seasoned perfectly. My donburi set also came with dashi broth that the waitress later brought over to pour on top of the leftover rice in my bowl to be enjoyed at the end of the meal. The broth and rice combination was really comforting and satisfying. This dish was something I wanted to try in Japan but did not get a chance to experience when there, so I was excited to try it at Ozakaya. I was really pleasantly surprised by the ramen here as well. Although the pork could have been better/more tender, the broth was rich and seasoned so well and not too salty like other places. Last but not least, the service here was excellent and efficient. Food: 3/5 I'm a huge sushi fan, so I was excited when I saw a deluxe sashimi set on the menu. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark. The scallop was thinly sliced and lacked the rich texture I was hoping for. The salmon and other cuts were decent, but short and oddly shaped--chunky yet small, which made the whole presentation feel a bit off for something labeled deluxe. We also tried to branch out and ordered the short rib entree. For $21, it was shockingly small--definitely a single-person portion, not sharable. I added extra ikura to a salmon donburi bowl for $2, but it was barely a teaspoon's worth--just enough to say it was there. Oddly, the salmon slices in that bowl were thinner than the sashimi we had just eaten, and overall, it left me still hungry even after sharing a maki roll. Lastly, my husband ordered a green salad, which somehow took the entire meal service to arrive. When it finally came, it was just plain romaine, cucumbers, radish, and dressing. For a dinner that clocked in at over $150 (after tip), we definitely left underwhelmed. Service: 3/5 This part wasn't bad, just confusing. We were seated quickly, but the pacing of the meal was strange. Our seaweed salad and soups came out promptly, but the green salad came last, after the hot dishes and nearly after my husband finished eating. Also, a small thing--but when I'm paying $16 for four oysters, I want to know what kind they are. The menu just said "West Coast oysters," but our server couldn't tell us the variety or origin. Not a huge deal, but it added to a general lack of polish that didn't quite match the pricing. I don't think I'd return. For the price, there are better sushi options in Brooklyn with higher quality, better portions, and clearer service. Still, I appreciate new spots opening up in the neighborhood, and I'm always happy to try something new. Hopefully they refine the menu and service with time.

Lots of people came in and out for takeout orders so that seems to be more of the target audience. Service was quick and polite, we were there until 9:30 and they definitely seemed ready for us to be out of there before the 10PM closing time. As for the specialty rolls, there were some pretty creative options - don't shy away from seemingly odd combinations because the flavors really do work well together. I appreciated the rice:fish ratio on all the rolls, the rice was a thin layer letting the flavor of the other ingredients really come through. The plain spicy tuna roll on the other hand was filled with spicy tuna mixed with something crunchy - maybe puffed rice? It seemed to be an unnecessary filler, I would have preferred just fish. I enjoyed the Lovers Dream and Golden Sunset roll the most. While I was debating it while ordering, in hindsight I would definitely get two rolls per person, maybe more if you're really hungry.

The Mystic Dragon roll was the standout for me-absolutely delicious. It had a variety of textures that gave it a great mouthfeel. I think this was my favorite of the three. All the flavors complemented each other beautifully. The strawberry sauce was unexpected but surprisingly worked! I love unique flavor combinations, and this one did not disappoint. The Torched King roll was also excellent. Salmon is my go-to for sushi, and the light torching gave it a subtle smoky flavor that I loved.
