    Salmon Tuna Don
    Stephanie C.

High quality sushi on-the-go!! Even better yet, they are currently doing 20% OFF on all online orders - such a steal! I am so glad to have discovered All Buru. This place is great for when you're looking for restaurant quality sushi but for better value, and to enjoy in the comfort of your home. I tried the following: Salmon Tuna Don ($30.50) All Buru Kaizen Don ($37, comes with truffle miso soup) Grand Box (6 pcs for $25.99, comes with miso soup and edamame or seaweed salad) - Spicy Tuna Inari - Spicy Hamachi Inari - Salmon Yuzu Nigiri - Tuna Truffle Nigiri - Yellowtail Nigiri - Twilight Everything was delicious, but I especially loved the Kaizen Don. The snow crab mixed in with pieces of tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and ikura was perfection. They also add furikake to all their rice bowls which is a nice touch for added flavor. From the grand box, I was surprised how much I enjoyed the inari. They season the salmon & yellowtail with their own special sauces and it was really delightful. My favorite was the Spicy Hamachi, which was coated in a ponzu & japaleno sauce. Overall, I'm blown away by how great the fish quality is for the price - it's on par with the kaizen don I'd order at places like Residence of Mr. Moto and Ozakaya but a few dollars cheaper since this is an easy takeout spot. I can't wait to come back and order again, it'll be great for picnics too when the weather is warmer.

I really enjoyed my meal. All of the items tasted great and each of the items had unique flavors. The only thing I would say is that there was too much rice, specially in the shrimp tempura. You should definitely go here if you like sushi.

Cute shop and friendly staff! Caveat that this review is for their Too Good to Go takeaway bag, which was fantastic. The onigiri had tasty sticky rice (although it needed some soy sauce to help amp up the flavor) with crisp seaweed and was very satisfying. The veggie platter had a good variety of items with avocado roll, seaweed salad, and daikon "nigiri." But my favorite by far was the salmon inari. It was a perfect bite! Fresh raw, marinated salmon over rice in a slightly sweet and surprisingly refreshing inari (tofu skin) wrapper. Definitely coming back!

cool concept but poor execution. We ordered a set of 6 - there really weren't many options to choose from and it was a bit pricey for what it was (25 for 6 pieces). The sushi has clearly been sitting out for a long time - the tempura piece in the eel roll was completely soggy and the eel was also a bit stale. Moreover, the staff accidentally broke a piece when picking it up, and since it was the last piece, we would have waited another 10 minutes for them to remake the whole roll, which defeated the purpose of the grab and go fast casual concept it is. Fun to try but unfortunately will not be coming back here due to the quality for price.

I ordered an eel onigiri along with a variety of fresh and flavorful special rolls. Pickup was quick, the staff were polite, and the restaurant was clean. I'll definitely be coming back!

It's been open for a few years, so clearly it has a good enough formula to keep the neighborhood happy. I have been here once before, but returned last week after dining several meals at Tomoni in Jackson Heights. Apparently, the owners are friends. Nonetheless, I needed to make the comparison. After my first few bites of their Tora Don and Chirashi Don, it was clear that this restaurant has the better quality seafood. Each slice of sashimi had vibrant colors, clean taste, and the proper texture. Tomoni is not bad, but fall slightly short of this caliber. With that said, there is an even farther gap between their rice quality. Though Tora is very good, Tomoni produces nearly perfect texture and acidity for my taste buds. Other than the best omakase restaurants in NYC, Tomoni shines as one of the best versions of sushi rice in the five boroughs. Service is good and space is cute. If I have a craving for some decent Japanese food, I would drive 20 minutes here for a meal anytime.

While wandering through Bed-Stuy on a weekday evening, my husband and I decided to try out this new…read moresushi spot. It wasn't terrible--but I had a lot of mixed feelings. Food: 3/5 I'm a huge sushi fan, so I was excited when I saw a deluxe sashimi set on the menu. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark. The scallop was thinly sliced and lacked the rich texture I was hoping for. The salmon and other cuts were decent, but short and oddly shaped--chunky yet small, which made the whole presentation feel a bit off for something labeled deluxe. We also tried to branch out and ordered the short rib entree. For $21, it was shockingly small--definitely a single-person portion, not sharable. I added extra ikura to a salmon donburi bowl for $2, but it was barely a teaspoon's worth--just enough to say it was there. Oddly, the salmon slices in that bowl were thinner than the sashimi we had just eaten, and overall, it left me still hungry even after sharing a maki roll. Lastly, my husband ordered a green salad, which somehow took the entire meal service to arrive. When it finally came, it was just plain romaine, cucumbers, radish, and dressing. For a dinner that clocked in at over $150 (after tip), we definitely left underwhelmed. Service: 3/5 This part wasn't bad, just confusing. We were seated quickly, but the pacing of the meal was strange. Our seaweed salad and soups came out promptly, but the green salad came last, after the hot dishes and nearly after my husband finished eating. Also, a small thing--but when I'm paying $16 for four oysters, I want to know what kind they are. The menu just said "West Coast oysters," but our server couldn't tell us the variety or origin. Not a huge deal, but it added to a general lack of polish that didn't quite match the pricing. I don't think I'd return. For the price, there are better sushi options in Brooklyn with higher quality, better portions, and clearer service. Still, I appreciate new spots opening up in the neighborhood, and I'm always happy to try something new. Hopefully they refine the menu and service with time.

We started with the salmon belly carpaccio which I'd say isn't really a carpaccio because the salmon isn't sliced as thinly as you'd expect. But! I mention that just to set expectations. Nomenclature aside, it's an excellent appetizer. Served in a truffle and ponzu sauce, the salmon is lightly seared which yields two different textures to the fish. It practically melts in your mouth. Highly recommend this dish. For my entree I went with the trio don, which is 6 pieces of sashimi served over your choice of plain or sushi rice (sushi rice for me). The fish was fresh and flavorful. The portion was perfect for me. My boyfriend ordered a yellowtail roll and enjoyed that as well. We also shared a carafe of the cold house sake. I'd definitely come back and try more items on the menu. It's great for sharing and trying new dishes. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the prices were very reasonable.
