Signature Rolls Platter
Kevin C.

I've been here a couple of times to eat in and also recently ordered their Signature Roll Platter ($120) which I brought to a party. KanaHashi made the roll very fresh and the sushi was a party hit, there were several different types of rolls in there and we felt the value was there. I'd recommend KanaHashi to anyone in the Greenpoint area looking for a quick quality sushi bite.

Ginger House Salad and Miso Soup and Sushi pizza

Beautiful restaurant, delicious rolls. They really rolled out the red carpet for my family and I for my mom's birthday dinner. We ordered the sushi boat and it was pretty epic. The sushi pizza and pork gyoza are also delicious. Everything fresh and the staff is great. The place is very clean and I love that you can watch the sushi chef making the sushi. Two complaints that'll actually make this place more hype: get metal chopsticks and put the sushi boat on the menu.

Really great value for the price. Takoyaki was some of the best I've ever had. They didn't skimp on the meat in our spicy tuna and spicy shrimp rolls, and the golden eel roll was very tasty. Soft shell crab roll was also great. Service was attentive and kind. Very easy to get a table at 9:15 on a Saturday night. We were able to watch March madness at the bar. We are really looking forward to going back.

Mushroom and avocado/peanut rolls

Overall great experience, staff very friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed the unique roll with the Chilean sea bass tempura with avocado mushroom in black rice, it's nice to see something different! Also I like the vegetarian rolls especially the avocado peanut. Just didn't realize tea was $6, thought it was included. The special black rice roll was $20, little pricey but great to try!

Very nice sushi restaurant in Greenpoint area. Very solid sushi, has a good variety of rolls and sashimi. You get pretty good portions overall. Sashimi very fresh, wished the rice would be better quality using real sushi rice and properly seasoned. Fried oyster app is very good for people who are afraid to eat raw or starting out. Been to this place twice and would come again.

I never ate here before today because I always found the lighting and layout of the restaurant cold and unwelcoming. The sushi is better quality than the other nearby places and I will eat here again. I don't know why the restaurant is so ugly tho. The food is good quality.

This is hands down one of the most incredible dining and services I've experienced !!! We often visit this place but we also take for pick up. Today somehow they forgot to add 1 roll, I called and the roll was delivered within 5min and some extra goodie !!!! I CANT EVEN EXPRESS HOW WONDERFUL THIS PEOPLE ARE !!! Everything the chef served was absolutely delicious !!!The marbling and tenderness was beautiful. My favorite sushi place in the whole NY !The chef and staff are ALWAYS so friendly and makes the plates look like an art. You could walk away full with just the 8 piece set. It was such a wonderful experience and definitely worth a splurge if you're a big sushi fan. My family and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE AND WOULD RECOMMEND NOT 100 but 1000%

NabeYaki Udon

Happy hour oysters til 7pm!! One of our instant favorites. Everyone we encountered from the host, service staff to the chefs are a pleasure to interact with. We tried the Chirashi and Nabeyaki Udon. Super fresh and beautifully arranged. A bouquet of sashimi is what comes to mind. Kudos to the chefs. Everything tasted as good as it looked. Kanahashi is a must visit and well worth the return trips!

Came here for a date on a weekday night and the place wasn't too crowded which was nice. The service was great but the only thing is I wish they had more choices for the chef chosen sashimi plates.

I think this may be my new sushi spot in Williamsburg.... The food was fresh, the service was great and the atmosphere was relaxing. When you in the mood for some sushi I say give them a try you won't regret it.

Love to be in the Neiborhood, This time, I visited my friend home who live nearby the restaurant. Even there are many Japanese place nearby, but my friend still picks KanaHashi to be the place we order for delivery. Fish is good quality and time delivery time is fast.

Developed food poisoning within a half hour of eating their sushi. Gutwrenching experience.

The meat is just absolutely perfect...melt in your mouth, moderately seasoned and delicate enough to put it all together with the noodles. The establishment is a bit smaller so it is recommended to get a reservation beforehand. But walkins are also welcomed I suppose. They have a high top area that is nice for having a front row seat to the action in the kitchen. Th music is good but random haha. Service was good the first time. But could've been better my second visit.

Had dinner at Za-Ya in Brooklyn and tried the Gyukotsu Miso Ramen ($19), Saba ($12), Saikoro Steak…read more($14), and the Cucumber starter ($8). The ramen was everything you want in a bowl -- a hearty, beef bone marrow broth with layers of flavor, bouncy chewy noodles, and an egg cooked perfectly. The short rib inside was extremely tender, and the toppings of fried garlic, green onions, and wood ear mushrooms added even more depth. The saba (miso-braised mackerel) was another highlight: extremely tender and moist, probably the best-prepared mackerel I've had, with a miso sauce that complemented it perfectly. The saikoro steak came as chunky, tender bites with a soy-vinegar garlic sauce that tied it all together beautifully. And the cucumber starter was cold, refreshing, and carried a nice spicy kick. Za-Ya nails Japanese comfort food with care and balance. The ramen and saba alone are worth the trip, and the sides round out a very satisfying meal.
