This place is so yummy! the guy that took our order and the woman who brought our food were both very kind as well. It's such a cool vibe that they make the fresh pasta right in the window of the restaurant for you to see. You can taste how fresh everything is when you eat it. This is more of a fast casual place so small tables and to go are available.

Pasta and a glass of wine for $19? That's a deal - esp if the pasta is freshly handmade. I shared with my husband the pappardelle bolognese and the mafaldine scampi. The bolognese was sooo good, the sauce was tasty and had a good amount of ground beef. The scampi was a complete surprise (in a good way). The pasta was al dente, had a lot of shrimp and the sauce was delicious - not too lemony. It comes with a side of their focaccia so what's not to like? They have a good variety of wines so I went for the Pinot Noir and my husband got the cab. They have a cute patio in the back cover and with heaters. Everybody since the moment we got there was very very nice and welcoming.

Yes, yes and yes... that's it! Okay, I'll share more. I finally made it to Forma Pasta Factory and wow. The wine and dine special is such a win: a glass of wine paired with your choice of pasta. And, the price is an absolute steal, under $20. I went with the fettuccine fungi and it was absolutely top tier, perfectly cooked and so comforting. I also had the lasagna and it was so good. The homemade rosemary focaccia was served with the pasta and it sealed the deal. Between the budget friendly food (but feels like a splurge), cozy atmosphere and the enclosed pergola vibes, it's easy to tell why this spot is an easy favorite. It is safe to say that Forma Pasta Factory will officially be on my regular rotation and I'll definitely be coming back again and again. Quick heads up on how it works: you'll order and pay at the register first, grab a number, then find a table while your food is prepared and brought to you. If you're dining with someone, it's smart to have hold a table while your order because this spot fills up fast.

I thoroughly enjoyed the food at this establishment. The pasta was amazing. You can taste the freshness. The service was ok. In hindsight there's not much for a waiter to do. It's not a typical restaurant. It's more like a takeout establishment with limited seating. Nonetheless I enjoyed my experience here and will go back to try other pasta on the menu.

Order at the counter, then the employees help you find seating. I came for dinner on a Saturday night before a show and it was busy but we were able to get a table by the time our food was ready. I tried the Pipette ragu and Eggplant parm. The food is a 3 (definition of "you get what you pay for," but super reasonable prices and friendly service bring it to a 4. Cute backyard garden, too.

One of the best pasta spots in the city, this location and the Williamsburg one. This is one of those rare beasts that's top-quality, super affordable, outdoor seating, easy ordering, cozy-casual ambience. The bolognese is insane! The pomodoro pasta and the pesto pasta are also so good. Solid seasonal veggie specials like roasted squash and pumpkin seeds. 5 stars!!!!

Conveniently located, a few blocks away from Atlantic Ave station. I was craving pasta and this place did not disappoint! There was a bit of a line indoors but it wasn't bad and we were able to find bar stool seats to eat our food. I got the pappardelle bolognese and ate the entire thing, it was delicious! If you're looking for an affordable pasta in Brooklyn, definitely check this place out, just be prepared to wait a bit!

Love love Forma Pasta!! I've been to both locations, and their handmade pasta can't be beat for its price and quality. I'm usually someone who doesn't go out for pasta much since I typically argue that I can just make it at home, but Forma Pasta is a spot I love visiting since their pasta is just so fresh, and their menu combinations have me coming back every time. I always come back for their pipette ragu: the shape of the pipette pasta perfectly complements/holds the ragu sauce that they make in-house. The fettuccine funghi is also really good. I like that their pasta is all cooked perfectly al dente, and all meals eaten at the restaurant come with free bread! (that tastes like focaccia bread, which is even better!). For the price of $14, it can't be beat, and for those who are gluten-free, they have gluten-free pasta upon request as well. This location also has more indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is in the back patio that has an ample amount of seating, and is also covered. Such a cute patio! And it was also fairly easy to find a table for an early dinner. Compared to their Greenpoint location, this location has much more seating, and the quality and taste were about the same. What we ordered: - pipette ragu pasta - fettuccine funghi pasta

Came here after work for dinner. I have tried the other locations before. First time dining in this location. Ordered fettuccine funghi, gemelli pesto, arancini. The fettuccine funghi was so creamy and mushrooms were so good! The bread was good as well. We pay for the food after ordering, we get a number and find an empty table to fit. They gave us a tray of napkins, utensils and 2 glasses of water for us to get from the water station. We sat at the back and it feels very much like camping vibes. One of my favourite pasta shop hands downs!

so pleasantly surprised by this fast casual pasta place! forma is great spot for good quality, low cost, pasta. I cannot remember the last time I had a bowl of pasta with meat for $14 not to mention they have a pasta wine combo for only $19. You order at the counter than self seat but the enclosed patio area still had very cute lighting that made it feel like a sit down restaurant. I had the Bolognese and YUM!! I loved the thick noodles, they were perfectly al dente and soaked up the sauce beautifully. I also loved that the pasta came with a piece of bread. Service was super friendly on all fronts.

A neighborhood gem. This place is popular and there are always delivery drivers mingling about waiting for takeaway orders. Forma is semi-casual where you order at the counter and then find a table. I was pleasantly surprised at how much seating they're able to fit in the store! Pastas come with complimentary, perfectly fluffy focaccia, and the pasta dishes are packed with flavor albeit some items can be pretty oily. Either way it's reliable, quick, and hits the spot when you want tasty carbs.

Trofie: interesting pasta shape that I've never had before. Cooked al dente. The sauce was slightly acidic and sweet. I wish the beef was a bit more tender. Clam pasta: I really enjoyed this. The sauce was super flavorful, lemony, and garlicky. The clams were cooked well. Sugar snap pea salad: Very crisp and refreshing. Service was quick and efficient!

Saw a huge line at another location and figured I'd try this one when I passed by. It's nice to find a yummy place spontaneously nowadays. Upon entering the restaurant, you can see staff making pasta. Lots of to-go orders. It was maybe a five minute wait before my party was at the cashier. The cashier was warm, polite, and accurate with our order. The silverware and drinking glasses brought by the staff to the table were warm. It was a nice touch. I'm trying to remember the last time that happened when eating out at a casual spot. Chance timing, I suppose. The agnolotti was flavorful yet light, and I'd absolutely order it again. The papardelle bolognese sauce was really yummy, but the pasta itself was borderline too wide and a bit too chewy. I'd love to revisit to try more of the menu. We need more places like Forma!

I haven't tried them all, obviously -- too many coffee shops -- but what I have tried, and come back to, over and over, is the products of the amazing team at Posto. It's not just about the skillfully made drinks or the balance of flavors, the fresh, Italian-style coffee or the filled-to-order Italian donuts and Maritozzos (iykyk) -- it's the overall ambience. You come here to put down the screen and enjoy the moment. So often do we rush through our coffees, or even bring them to meetings, at the beck and call of the city's hustle. But at Posto the kind, talented, customer-first team asks you to slow down and escape all of that, to savor every sip of coffee in the classic Italian style. Walking in feels more like a poem than a cafe. Gone are the transactional, disingenuous "how are you's" and instead you get to discover all sorts of fun barista (and bar) creations, Tuscan products, and fresh pasta. The servers and owner are always read to provide a recommendation, and like in Italian cafes, they bring whatever treats and drinks you land on to you. (My favorite aperol spritz is also from Posto.) Outside, the peaceful garden hosts two large umbrellas. It's vibrant, as if you're in a neighbor's backyard and they are willing to share a colorful moment with you, birds chirping overhead. As I finished the last drop of my cappuccino this morning, I realized that forty-five minutes had passed, and every sip of coffee was just as good as the last. Thank you!

I don't feel like Un Posto hits the nail on the head for any of these. The menu is incredibly confusing--one part is on a chalk board, another is written under the countertop, another two are printed out next to the register and they all say different things without explanations of what any of the drinks even are. I spent at least 10 minutes letting other folks in front of me at the counter because I was paralyzed by choices I didn't understand, luckily the baristas were able to provide clarity on some of them. They have cocktails, coffee cocktails, coffee drinks, and several food menus. We came hungry, only to see the sandwich menu taken away because they were out (this was at 3 pm, and they close at 7). This is such a New York thing, but if you're selling cocktails and groceries until the evening, running out of mortadella sandwiches is not the same as when Radio Bakery sells out by noon... Maybe it's me but I'm not particularly looking to get a plate of prosciutt and burrata with my coffee (which is what they had left), and the sandwiches here are supposed to be amazing and were the main reason why we chose this place. We had come here to co-work, but saw that there were no laptops allowed, not even in a specific window, just period. I take issue with this because for some of us, coffee shops are vital spaces not to get sucked into the void of our screens but to write, share ideas, and work in the company of our support system. The coffee I got was an Italian iced coffee with no milk and almond syrup, pretty good but a smallish portion. My friend's latte was white, and tasted like foamy milk with just a hint of espresso... very odd. Usually that cool pretentious European vibe results in delicious food and drink, so I expected to be blown away, but it was just okay. Some of the higher-up staff are quite snippy, doesn't seem like the kind of place where if you're a regular people know your name and want to chat. The accusatory sign in the bathroom really says it all. The best part of this place is the gorgeous back patio, but it's harder to enjoy it when you've walked into a place that already makes you feel like you don't belong there, implying you're a toilet-clogging laptop addict who doesn't know any coffee lingo. I could see stopping in to pick up some fresh pasta and grabbing a cappuccino to go, but what's the fun in that?

Like the conchiglie lemon squeezer, penne pan holder, and the mafaldine kitchen ties. This review may be spoiling someone's gift coming up, but such is life. All that aside, I'd still come in if it was a panini counter and nothing more. There is an extensive menu of options that I am only starting to make my way through. My first choice was the Parma, which is a generous amount of homemade pork shoulder, fresh tomato, truffle pecorino cheese cream, and a little drizzle of truffle oil as well. It was hot, it was rich, it was delicious. It came recommended by the lovely woman behind the counter, who was very sweet, if not very talkative. There's even a backyard and seating area if you don't want to take it home. If I had any criticism for Tavola, it's minor: I would like some acid on that sandwich to cut the richness (some pickled red onions would go a long way), and I would like everything in the market to be about 20% less expensive, because I want it all and I could really only afford a sandwich and some very nice pasta that I'm excited to make.
