We stumbled upon this place. Looks like a great idea just came to browse. It has wines from places I don't usually find like the lake Garda region of Italy. The Italian grocery selection is great. I think they make home made dried pasta to order. Amazing. Next time I need to come n try the food n drink wine. Sounds like a plan.

Wow amazing. I would own a cafe like this with a little space in the back, backyard in the summer, make fresh pasta and delicious grocery imported from Italy. This is a dream but the price is a little expensive. It is worth it thou. The space in the front make look small but they have a huge back room. We grab a table and 4 chairs luckily without any wait. Order some drinks when we got a table and just chat for a few hours. It's a place people just meet and afternoon coffee. The drinks are great but the sandwiches could be better. I am a little disappointed with it being cold and not much to taste for a $15 price tag. They can do better imo. I would come back again to hang and maybe skip the food.

Lovely place with lovely food. We got a honey cornetto, Prosciutto and cheese on focaccia sandwich, what I believe is a hazelnut bombolone (donut), and two lattes. The pastries and sandwiches are fresh and delicious. The lattes were decent. There is a cute little enclosed patio on the back along with indoor seating. The workers were friendly. I would say that this is a place you come for food and ambiance, not necessarily for just a latte.

A treasure for Italian.pantry items - everything from your favorite semolina cookies to the finest small batch pastas and sauces, coffees you can't find anywhere else and all you favorite Italian wines- because all my favorite wines are Italian ! Brunelllo , montepulciano, Amarone ...and then there is the inviting cafe - we had a half hour before the sabbath services in the synagogue began and so we ducked in for delicious coffee and pastry. If you drive here, remember to give yourself an extra twenty minutes to find a parking spot on 'no park slope' but if you arrived on bike or transit, forget the canteen style cafes where everyone is working-- this is a laptop free zone, thank goodness - truly authentic

After a long day of apartment hunting, I was drawn into this welcoming Italian market. I was going to have a cup of coffee around the corner while continuing my online search, but I decided a beer would be better. And it was! The shop has fresh pasta, a coffee bar, indoor and outdoor seating on a quaint back patio, and plenty of Italian products to peruse. The owner was so friendly and so kind, offering opinions on Park slope, that I do believe I've decided to move there. It's a great little neighborhood! And I'll definitely come back by this cozy cafe when I do.

This is my new favorite place in Brooklyn. This tiny side street shop is simultaneously: 1. As New York as anything can possibly be. It's a hole in the wall that does one thing (pasta), and does it better than I can imagine it being done anywhere else. 2. The antithesis of our high-speed, on-demand city. Once you walk in the door, you're no longer in the perpetual hurry that defines our lives. And if you are, you better slow down and relax, because you're killing my vibe, man. There's a board to the left of the counter that lists the pasta of the day. If you want spaghetto, Antonio will take out a pound of dough, and carefully roll it out, fold it up, roll it some more, and feed it through his pasta machine. There is no urgency, just a calm and deliberate display of skill. No wasted motions, just precision and practiced expertise. After the pasta has been floured and carefully placed into a box, Antonio will write specific instructions on the box. The spaghetto should be cooked that same night, for eighty seconds. Not a minute. Not a minute and a half. Eighty seconds. Pair it with the fresh jarred pesto in the mini fridge, or anything you'd like, and you will have happiness in a bowl. In this frantic city, it's soothing to watch this gentleman work. It will take a couple minutes longer than throwing a box of pasta into a grocery cart, and it will cost a few dollars more than you're used to paying, but the product is well worth the wait and the price. Because this is as good as pasta gets.

    Water

There is self-serve water available. It is cold, but the cups are incredibly small. The cups hold ~2-3 sips of water.

This place is just simply, well - lovely. There are few places that really feel like a getaway, an escape from the bustle.

Discovered this hidden gem. Peeked inside to check it out and saw their beautiful, spacious garden. Walked inside and their store is separated into four sections: cafe, food store of a few Italian delicacies, pasta making section, and wine/beer section before the entrance totheir adorable immaculate ourdoor space.

We started with the Crocchette and the Polpo. For entrees we got the Pappardelle Al Funghi and the Agnolotti Del Plin. For dessert we shared the Panna Cotta. All the food was excellent. Octopus was cooked perfectly. The Crocchettes were super flavorful. Both pasta dishes were divine! We actually switched plates halfway through the meal so we could enjoy both dishes. The Panna Cotta was the perfect ending. We made a reservation about a week in advance to be safe. I'm glad we did because the restaurant filled up quickly after opening. We reserved a table in the dining room table due to not knowing the what the patio situation was like. But it does look like their patio is enclosed for the colder months. The service was great. The food came out hot and fresh. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable on the menu. I would absolutely return to LaRina the next time I'm visiting the city.

I am so glad we did as the whole table loved them! I also really liked the lasagna and bistecca. The agnolotti del pin was good, but there was so little of it! I wasn't even that hungry but had to beg my friends for some of their food after finishing mine because they saw how little my dish served. The smoked spaghetti was way too woody tasting in my opinion, too. Service was awesome - we may have been a bit rowdy as a group for our birthday girl, but our server was awesome and even brought out a tiramisu and ice cream for us. Thank you!!

All were excellent. The carbonara could have used a bit of pepper and a bit more pecorino. Guanciale? Or bacon? Also had the scallops which we loved. I ordered a Bellini but it was not a Bellini. No peach. Just a cherry - odd. The Lemon scone was the best we have had - served with cream and lemon curd. Amazing The Carmel custard dessert - was rich but a bit one note. Like the conchiglie lemon squeezer, penne pan holder, and the mafaldine kitchen ties. This review may be spoiling someone's gift coming up, but such is life. All that aside, I'd still come in if it was a panini counter and nothing more. There is an extensive menu of options that I am only starting to make my way through. My first choice was the Parma, which is a generous amount of homemade pork shoulder, fresh tomato, truffle pecorino cheese cream, and a little drizzle of truffle oil as well. It was hot, it was rich, it was delicious. It came recommended by the lovely woman behind the counter, who was very sweet, if not very talkative. There's even a backyard and seating area if you don't want to take it home. If I had any criticism for Tavola, it's minor: I would like some acid on that sandwich to cut the richness (some pickled red onions would go a long way), and I would like everything in the market to be about 20% less expensive, because I want it all and I could really only afford a sandwich and some very nice pasta that I'm excited to make.

The cavatelli pasta is one of my favorite pasta shapes as it's slightly chewy and retains a good amount of sauce. The sauce in the cavatelli was perfectly balanced and not too sour or sweet. I also greatly enjoyed the Tortelli with the great quality butter and generous filling of ricotta and greens. Reading some of these reviews makes me truly question the credibility of reviewers who claim overcooked pasta is how pasta should taste and feel like ... so please disregard some of the lower starred reviews. I've had pasta from Rome/Lazio regions, Apulia (Lecce, Bari, Polignano e Mari, Matera), all the way to most of Brooklyn from East Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Little Italy, all the way to the Bronx - I've eaten so much pasta and have been able to tell the difference from Americanized Italian and true Italian. The guy behind the counter (cook, server, shopkeeper, cashier, etc.) steered us toward the tagliatelle with ragu, and the tortelli with butter and sage. Sold. Both dishes were fresh and delicious, and presented quite well. We enjoyed both, and went on our way. All that said, the pastas were small portions for $19 apiece, which after tax and tip I find a bit too steep for a regular stop for lunch.
