Our usual early morning walk on Saturdays put us right in the heart of Brooklyn's Prospect Park. The dogs run rampant, the Farmers Market is in full swing and the people crowd this area like a ritual. Walking back to our apartment, after this weekly adventure we happen to stop at Caffe De Martini for my Cafe Lotte, my wife's Matcha and my son's brewed coffee. We all chose a pastry out of the many they displayed, went outside, found a table and sat amongst the many people doing the same thing we were doing. This coffee shop is very popular; and for good reason - everything they have is impeccable, exceptional and picture perfect. I am trying a few of my local coffee shops as a Friday afternoon treat. Popped in here by myself and although the space is small I was lucky enough to find a table. The staff were welcoming and I ordered a truffle brownie and the De Martini Nutella special. In hindsight these two items together were too much and I wish I had just ordered a plainer coffee. The coffee itself was good quality but the addition of the Nutella with such a small amount of coffee was a bit much for me. The brownie was very rich and I was only able to eat half (although I did take the other half home to eat later, it was too good to leave). All in all I think Caffe De Martini is a lovely spot and I will visit again but order something a little less rich. read more

Charming little cafe. Friendly staff. Cornetto was amazing - fresh and delicious. Chai latte was good but average. Chocotahini was flavorful with nice chocolate bits and good saltiness, but a crumbly-dry texture, maybe because it's gluten-free. My favorite coffee place in the city by far. I come here regularly to get coffee and work my part time job since it's super close to my gym. They have the best espresso I've been able to find in nyc and coming from Seattle I was really missing quality coffee. The staff members are super nice and very willing to chat with people, so there's a nice community vibe. The seating inside is a bit limited, but there's tons of outdoor seating and most of it is covered. They also serve food and have a variety of pastries! read more

The owners are from Italy and Colombia, and while the store is outwardly branded primarily in favor of its cappuccino and piadine offerings, I highly recommend the tapioca flour-based pan de bono, which is akin to an airier version of pao de quiejo. The arepa is also a hearty option on the menu with a generous layer of smashed avocado, but I probably prefer the coffee and light bites here over the breakfast options. read more

Table seating is very limited but standard for a café plot setting. I am always enamored with ham and cheese croissant baked cornetti filled with provolone cheese and ham $7.50. I patiently waited approximately fifteen minutes for my order in a phlegmatic disposition of a cool air conditioned environment on a very humid June, 2023 morning. My ham and cheese croissant was very filling which is worth the wait and price. I would definitely return for the Bomboloni, an Italian donut filled with Nutella. I am also enamored with Nutella. The atmospheric setting is very quaint, cozy, charming and relaxed of an Italian café located in Brooklyn, NY. Customer service is attentive and warmly welcoming. Sales receipts are digitalized and can only be obtained via email or SMS text due to Caffè De Martini's cash registers are powered by Square as a paperless system as the world is moving to the digital age of paperless. No comment on the drinks as I did not order nor imbibe any. There is a loyalty program card where the twelfth (12th) drink is free. No business cards are available for grabs. This is that cafe in the romcom where you meet the love of your life. From the front entrance and the aromatic whiff of coffee beans as you walk pass this coffee, there truly is nothing more inviting from a coffee shop. Passed by here a couple times for coffee as it was within walking distance from our house. I loved my order each time --Cafe de martini. We popped in here for pastries and coffees but quickly switched to full breakfast when we found an open heated booth outside. I love that they served everything on real plates and cups instead of giving us to-go containers. From tasty treats to a great ambience, caffe de martini has it all. I came here on a friend's recommendation and would recommend it to others! It's quite a small space inside with about 3 tables and a three-top counter space but there are a few tables outside as well. The space was full the whole time we were there in the afternoon. The decor was gorgeous starting with the doorway flower arch outside that made the space very inviting, and a gorgeous floral mural inside. I loved the reggaeton they were playing and it was the perfect volume to hear yet still have a conversation. The cappuccino I had was good, and the cornetto (Italian croissant) was surprisingly good! I was bummed they didn't have any filled ones at 1pm but the plain one had a great hint of maybe citrus to it. I had never had an Italian croissant before so I was excited to try something different and I was very happy with it. Another plus is the location- on a bustling street with some cute shops nearby to pop into and about a 7 min walk from the Q subway. read more

It's giving true Italy feels. The minute you walk in, you feel like you're no longer in Brooklyn and somewhere in Italy! The flowers are so gorgeous around the door and in the cafe. It's a small place but has BIG energy because the decor livens up the room. I love this place and it was only my first time there! I felt moved to right this review immediately. My iced latte came to me within a minute of me placing an ordering it. I tasted it immediately. And without sweetener, wow! The coffee is so pure and rich. I'm not sure what fancy words to use to explain how great tasting the coffee is. But it is definitely one of the best coffees I've had!! I went ahead and added some simple syrup to lift it up some with a sweetener... just a dash and the simple syrup did give it that lift. I don't like too much sugar in my coffee so my order was perfect. The Apple strudel was amazing. I only wish that the slice was bigger or that I ordered more. This place is a bit on the pricer side with the iced latte being $7 and the strudel being $7. But to me, the price is worth it. True quality. What an adorable, charming cafe that makes you feel that you're abroad somewhere in Europe. I've passed this place a couple times in the evening and always admired and intrigued by their beautiful flower decor outside their door. The quality of their coffee and pastries definitely matched their outside impression: Ordered a simple, solid drip black coffee and apple strudel and wondered where they got their amazing looking and tasting pastries. The price was standard Brooklyn prices. There's a small sitting area both indoors and outdoors. For how popular this place is the sitting area isn't enough. Definitely worth checking out and enjoying Vanderbilt over some good coffee and pastries. read more

It was during a stroll along this avenue that the need for a caffeinated drink struck, and Caffe de Martini's quaint exterior drew me in for an iced chai. An array of quiche, cups of chocolate mousse, black and white cookies, cannoli, and other confections gleamed up at me from their pastry cake, but I had just downed an ice cream brioche donut sandwich moments before from another spot so I couldn't stomach any more sweets-- unless you count my chai as a sweet. I stop by this cafe about once a week; I've tried their granola with yogurt, arepa, panino classic, avocado toast, various pastries from their pastry display, iced latte, and caffe freddo -- my favorites are the caffe freddo (a perfect iced coffee with just the right ratio of espresso to milk), panino classic, avocado toast, Nutella bomboloni, and plain cornetti. I also prefer my coffee to be strong and aromatic rather than taste like sweeteners/syrups, and Caffe de Martini gets it right! Their caffe freddo is the main reason I don't make my coffee at home everyday - I just feel like I have to get one at least once a week, as a little treat. I have not actually sat inside the cafe (since I am usually with my dog) but it is very cute inside, with paintings of flowers along the wall and a chalkboard menu. The staff is always lovely as well! Just note that they're a small shop so on a busy weekday morning it can take a bit to get your breakfast, but it's always worth the wait. read more

It was flaky, crispy, warm, with a hint of orange. I got the mini biscotti and it crumbles in your mouth.
