So pretty
Franny A.

Whoa, magical spot in my old 'hood with housemade pastries. Adorable, good value with a killer croissant they bake off with the dough from Colson. Lovely granola. Light, bright lovely and the most lovely staff makes me nostalgic for Windsor Terrace, always a lovely hamlet.

A coffee cup and a cookie are positioned on a wooden table inside a cafe, with sunlight streaming through a large window behind them. The window has the word 'DAY' visible in reverse, and a plant with green and yellow leaves is situated outside, partially obscuring the view of parked cars. Shadows of the plant and the objects on the table are cast on the surface due to the sunlight.

still a great spot for coffee and pastries. but i don't feel like staying long due to the lack of normal tables. they removed the tables for covid and made some bar seating. not conducive to a comfortable lunch. but i'll continue coming for my short coffee breaks.

Unfortunately there is so much more to it, than a simple sign. The dismissive and antagonistic tone is not appreciated . - A sign on a decorative stand in a cafe displays messages about staff appreciation for gender-neutral language and provides instructions for online order pickup. The sign is handwritten with playful elements, and the background shows disposable cups, a stack of paper cups, and cafe equipment, indicating a food service setting.

This used to be one of my favorite places for delicious food and a friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Sadly this all changed with one simple sign on the counter . The sign might seems innocent enough, but behind the words it conveys a passive aggressive and antagonistic tone which is quite off putting and dismissive.

Baked goods. - A glass display case contains an assortment of baked goods including cookies, muffins, and bars, each labeled with handwritten signs indicating flavors and prices. Behind the case, there are containers, cups, and other cafe supplies, suggesting a bakery or cafe environment focused on takeout orders.

This seems like a pretty popular spot! There was line spilling out of their small cafe at around 12:30-1 on a weekend. I got the prosciutto and fig sandwich with herb-whipped ricotta and preserved lemon, which was really tasty and light, and came with dressed greens and pickles. I also couldn't resist getting something from their bevy of baked goods on display, and the maple banana bread was great, so moist and flavorful. They had a few different latte flavors and I opted for the vanilla maple latte, which was fine but just tasted like a regular latte to me. I didn't see any indoor seating, just a few benches and seats outside, but luckily I was planning to bring my lunch to the park anyway. They offer a few other intriguing sandwiches and toasts (I'm looking at you, mushroom toast), so I'd be down to return on another beautiful day and stock up on some muffins and cake slices while I'm at it.

Great spot for a quick breakfast! Got their white bean dip sandwich and the ham and cheese sandwich and both were delicious. The white bean dip is flavorful and light and the sandwich is loaded with tons of fresh veggies; couple with the brioche bun it was delish. Same with the ham n cheese as well.. very generous with the meat and they use a really good pungent mustard to make the sandwich yummy. Both sandwiches came with dresses greens and gherkins. Also got a croissant on a friends recommendation - it was so buttery and flaky. Do note that they don't have any indoor seating and have a couple of small benches outside on a first come first serve basis. Glad to have discovered another breakfast spot close by..will be dropping in soon to try the rest of their menu soon!

Great spot for a delicious breakfast and coffee! Stopped by here before heading to Prospect Park and had a great experience. Got their prosciutto and fig sandwich and it was extremely fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend.

Gruyere and Mushroom sandwich. - A cooked fish fillet with a crispy, browned skin is shown inside a brown cardboard takeout container. The fillet appears to be seasoned and has a moist interior. Fresh green leafy vegetables are placed next to the fish, providing a contrast in color and texture. The container is open, revealing the food inside, and the background suggests an outdoor setting.

I found this spot from Yelp. I had to kill time between medical appointments and wanted to get coffee and food. I tried a Mushroom and Gruyere grilled sandwich. The bread was very good very crunchy and tasty. The sandwich was bigger and thicker than i thought it would be. The cheese was perfectly melted, the mushrooms were sautéed with onions and it had greens in it maybe spinach or watercress? I'd it lacked anything it was a sauce. I think a spicy mustard or a mayonnaise (or maybe both) would have made it even better. It costs about $12 and it was worth it, I ate the other half for dinner. I had a special maple decaf latte and it was decent but a little pricey at $5.00. It's probably a typical price but I usually just get a regular decaf. The store is small so there's no indoor seating. They have a few benches outside one has a little table connected to the bench so it's a little awkward to eat or drink anything outside. Overall a nice Brooklyn neighborhood gem and a good find.

Roasted Turkey & bacon sandwich. Macha tea & Caffe Latte.

Our daughter told us about this cafe and although it was quite a hike from south Prospect Park, it was worth it! We ordered the roasted Turkey & bacon sandwich. It was so good & filling! It also came with arugula salad. The dining area (counter & bar stool) is limited. But the good part is that the restroom is clean

There's a couple of tables in a small store. Above the register there's a menu board resembling a train departures board, cycling through the options (it looks neat, but the printed out menu on your right is a lot more practical). There's a cooler with drinks and salads as you enter on the right. The sandwiches, however, are something special. On my first visit I went with something familiar, the Mean Streets (their Italian sandwich). The bread itself is fantastic (locally baked), and the toppings delicious as well (if I recall correctly the dressings are house made). Pleasantly, they also give you a paper plate with your order, which is a nice touch compared to eating off a wrapper. I enjoyed the first sandwich so much I came back the next day to try the No Sleep Til Gravesend. The sandwich is essentially a hot roast beef sandwich, with a jus on the sandwich reminiscent of a French Dip. Perfect on a cold, rainy day. Overall, 1 of 1 has great (and mostly house made) ingredients and great execution. There's a level of creativity on the menu that you rarely see elsewhere in the city. 1 of 1 is among the best sandwich shops in the city, and a very welcome addition to the area.

Got a TGTG order here. 11/10 I'd do it again…read more Brooklyn DOP actually originated as a pandemic business where my friend's personal trainer started baking pizzas outside of his Greenwood Heights apartment. When the hype got large enough, the owner decided to start a pizzeria and the rest is not history. This is one of the more worthwhile TGTG orders to me. Their pizza is SOOO perfectly crisp and charred, and actually is one of the closest pizzas that reminds me of the famous originals in Napoli.

Expensive though, about $55 dollars for a vegan 18-inch Margherita pie with 3 toppings. Was it worth it for the experience? Yes. Would I recommend to someone who wanted to try it at least once for a good dairy-free pizza? Absolutely, I couldn't even tell this was vegan cheese. Would I get it again? Maybe (?) once in a while as a treat with price being the only barrier. Service 5/5: This was great. I came here the other day to inquire about their vegan pizza and just wanted to try a slice. The person found his manager to talk to me about this. They were super friendly and explained to me the situation. This location only sold vegan options in full pies and their other DOP Fast Life location does sell vegan slices, but they didn't try to push me to buy. I came back today and the staff today were also very welcoming. Ambiance 5/5: Rustic red brick interior with warm lighting. It was definitely bustling on a Friday night. Food 5/5: Delicious pizza. I do regret that I ate it cold after driving 30 minutes to pick it up so I did not get the full experience. But the crust was still crunchy. I do wish the toppings were a little heavier but the tomato chunks in the sauce tasted very fresh. A very classic New York style pizza and I couldn't even tell it wasn't real cheese. Vegan garlic knots were great too.
