Polly's is a humble little spot on a quiet tree-lined street. There is a reason this place is so popular. Delicious iced coffee and seasonal drinks. Their baked goods are the best--their buckwheat scone is mildly sweet and earthy. Their sandwiches can't be beat. I HATE BLT's. They are usually presented as triangles of toasted whole wheat bread with limp iceberg lettuce, barely a tomato and a sliver of bacon with too much mayo. Everything I do not want. But at Polly's...the humble BLT becomes an art form. They get the bread correct first of all--a delicious toasted ciabatta spread modestly with a gently garlicked mayo. Sharp, nutty micro greens and arugula instead of pointless iceberg, thick tomato slices, avocado and oh yes, bacon. That is a sandwich done right. I waited around 10 minutes to order a cold brew, the pastries (croissants: chocolate, everything, goat cheese and herb, ham and cheese, butter, sticky toffee banana bread, chocolate babka crumb cake, brownies)were sold out and only olive oil cake remained. Polly's cafe is one of the few places that gets it right. They serve really great stuff. Their "Polly's brownie is my fave's thing they make, theres big chocolate chips in them, they're addictive, and if you're chocolate lover like me you'd love this. Just about all their baked goods are GOOD! The coffees great, the chai latte, their rosemary biscuits and scones hit the spot. The service here is just as good, very warm, very welcoming and so nice, it depends who's in the front...the place is clean, wish they had a ramp though. read more

Such a cute spot! I'd only gotten takeout before but recently sat out in the backyard, which is surprisingly roomy with lots of different seating options and so beautiful. There are a couple tables in the sun next to the garden, with umbrellas that can be put up for shade, you might have to stake them out for an opening but they're the best. The staff are really personable and although the food took a while to come out, I didn't mind because I wasn't in a rush. The breakfast burrito is really yummy and comes with a salsa that isn't spicy but adds the perfect flavor to the chorizo and potatoes. Yummy! I've also tried the avocado breakfast sandwich and it was tasty. And the backyard is quiet, great for work, but not so quiet that we felt bad about chatting and catching up. Polly's is a small woman owned cafe . They offer a variety of coffee drinks, pastries and sandwiches. We shared the Polly's Power Greens Sandwich . On toasted seeded multigrain bread there was burrata, cucumber, avocado , lettuce and aioli. It was flavorful and fresh. There was indoor seating and seating in a backyard. All the outdoor seats were taken, but we were able to sit inside. Good food and service. read more

Pro-tips: There's like only one or two workers so be ready to wait for your order. The sandwiches are definitely on the small side. Highlights: Everything we got was delicious. I loved both of the sandwiches and thought the ingredients and the flavors were great. I love that. Their lunch menu is all day. The worker was very nice as well. Lowlights: I was pretty shocked to see the size of the sandwich, it's really small almost like a kids size sandwich. I was in the area and saw that this place has great reviews and I absolutely see why! I had the prosciutto and burrata sandwich and a flat white. Amazing sandwich, it comes with a small side salad and balsamic dressing. Super fresh burrata and the sandwich was nice and crispy. The flat white was delicious! The cafe seems small but they have an outdoor space with plenty of seating and some tables inside. There were a lot of people working out of here so It seems like it's always busy but the service was very quick. Highly recommend checking them out! read more

So glad this lovely cafe exists! Can't say I've had a bad thing from this place. I love the giant croissants (goat cheese and herb is EVERYTHING), but definitely get it warmed up, especially if you order the plain and it's nearing the end of the day. The sandwiches are a good portion and come with a side of leafy greens. Vibes are nice for meeting friend for coffee or getting some work done solo. The sandwich was good and the service folks were kind but this comes with a caveat. This is a cafe with just one of everything so when they get even marginally busy, food with take quite a long time. I waited 30 mins for a breakfast sandwich. I'll stick with four stars instead of 3 because I'm not trying to torpedo a small Business but consider this as a caution to pack your patience if you order food and there's more than 3 people ahead of you. I was quite hungry when I walked in there and didn't order a drink so I would also advise ordering coffee or tea so you don't notice how long it took for your food. read more

The breakfast food is fresh, and the matcha is absolutely delicious. This is such a cute cafe! My running group went to the location at President and Rogers (241 Rogers Ave) and they were so accommodating of such a large group (someone let them know beforehand). So many of us bought coffees and beverages but they also provided banana bread to all of us for free - so generous and kind of the staff to do for us. I've been to Polly's a few times now to sit for a few hours and get some work done. The coffee was good, and although I didn't order any food, there's a solid selection of sandwiches and quiches, all for under $10. There are a ton of pastry options as well. The tables at the front of the store are a little close together, but there's more seating in the back as well as counter seating along one wall, so the closeness shouldn't be an issue most of the time. There are plenty of outlets, but they seemed to be concentrated in just a few places. Internet has been reliable every time I've been here. Happy to have such a pleasant place nearby! read more

There's outlets for laptops, and the warm natural lighting makes it a cozy place to read, chat with a friend, or just sip their fantastic Dona turmeric chai while toe-tappin' to the 50s tunes coming over the soundsystem. - Variety of milks available (including oat, almond, and dairy) - Yummy sandwich + salad combos at a fair price point -- try the BLT! - And, for folks who are new to the neighborhood, Polly's is super close to lots of gems--ideally located to grab drinks for a stroll around Prospect Park, sit for lunch after a visit to the Brooklyn Museum, or soak in the backyard sun with some reads from the Public Library. It took me two days to eat this nutella donut and the coffee was great. They also seemed to have a lot of teas and hot tea lattes that i'd love to try in...hmmm...october?! oh, fall. please come back to us. meanwhile, the summer drink of my choice-- iced oat milk latte-- was great. The service (possibly the owner) was nice and it's cute in there. There were no seats at 10am on a Thursday so i sat in the garden. Cute place. Nice back yard. Layout was good. There were two people working when I arrived. One was pleasant and responsive. One was, well, must have had a bad day. I don't pay inflated food or tea prices for a negative attitude. Unfortunately, this was the one I interacted with. When our drinks were ready, she made it to the back door to yell our drinks were ready. 10 more steps and she could have deliver our drinks. Sandwich was decent, although bakery goods seemed dry. I have been to Pollys by chance. I needed to grab some lunch just in between two meetings. And that was the absolute right decision to get into this cute spot. I had a foccachia with orange and goat cheese. Millie worked that day and toasted it for me. She is very sympathetic and made the food come as quick as possible. Terry the owner is warm and friendly and the other baristas also know how to serve a good coffee.
